April Story Of The Month

April was one of the more inactive months for a while, but the lack of stories meant a more competitive competition. While the 4 best teams in Europe battle it out, the site saw the 5 best stories go head to head for the elusive prize of Story Of The Month.

Tallery for Valencia CF: El Aumento De Los Valencianos AND Xander and Feliks for Portugal's Great Divide!

This month saw a tie, with Tallery and a pair of Aussies sharing the award, each gaining 14 votes out of the total of 45 cast. Congratulations to all 3 winners, especially to Tallery and Xander who take out their first wins each! For the rest of the site, keep working hard and maybe you can be the one to knock these stories off their perch.
Congrats guys!

May Story of the Month

With the domestic league season has come to it's conclusion and there is now just this weekends show piece Champions League final left to play, here at FM Scout, story writing is still alive and kicking. The title race across many European countries has not have been as tense and exciting as years gone by, yet the competition among stories has remained stong as several writers have risen to the challenge to try and take home our very own ultimate prize: Story of the Month. So, the people have spoken and voted on their very favourite FM tale over the last month, and the results are finally in...

It was a straight out competition between Glenn T and pompeyblue for most of the voting, and ultimately, the two of them couldn't be seperated. They both accumulated 37.5%, that's 12 votes each from the 32 votes cast. Both stories are deserved winners, both for their own reasons, too. Glenn has produced constant quality and quite rightfully picks up his sixth SOTM title. Meanwhile, pompeyblue's unique adventure with fictional character Santiago Muñez has captured the hearts of readers, and he wins his third SOTM accolade. Congrats to both writers, and remember, keep writing... you could be the next winner!

Thanks to everyone who voted for me! Good game Pompey :D

Aha, yep! Congrats Glenn, and thanks to everyone who voted for me, too.

June Story of the Month

With competitive club football over for the season, June is often a tedious month for football fans. Then again, the Woman's World Cup and the Copa America has proven to be popular and has certainly been more interesting than the constant refresh of Sky Sports' Transfer Centre in desperate search for news. At least here at FM Scout, our story writing has been running smoothly as ever and we've had another strongly contested Story of the Month competition. But who took home the award this month?

For the second month running, Glenn T and pompeyblue have drawn level in the voting, winning succesive Story of the Month titles. With 12 votes each, 30% of the 40 votes, the two writers were a fair margin ahead of their fellow nominees. Congrats to both of these writers and another big congratulations to Devzie92 for his first ever nominaiton. Keep writing guys, you could just be the person to topple Glenn and pompeyblue from the throne!

Three months in a row of joint winners?!? Shows that there are some truly remarkable stories! Congrats to both!
Both are duly deserved! Congrats
Thanks to all, happy to have won again. Good game Pompey (again!).
Indeed Glenn, well done to you again and a big thanks to everyone who voted for me!

July Story of the Month

The transfer window is in full swing at the moment, and with the return of the domestic season looming the amount of stories dramatically increased in July. It was a very open month, one of the more entertaining and unpredictable SOTM contests in recent memory, but only one story rose above all the rest to be crowned champion.

shylax has broken the recent dominace of Glenn T and pompeyblue to claim his first ever Story of the Month award. The American writer gained 12 of the 35 votes, or 34.2%, to beat Jack and tenthreeleader who each got 9 apiece.

It was a great contest this month and August is set to be even more exciting as established stories blossom into great ones. Can shylax retain his crown with his new story? Or will it be a new challenger that rises to the title? We'll just have to wait and see.

Congrats to Shylax on a well deserved win!
