Renewed Contracts For Stars, as Many More Shown the Door

Internazionale have secured the long term future of some of their most prized assets in the first week of July. Memphis Depay, Mauro Icardi and Mateo Kovacic have all signed new 5 year deals, ensuring their services for many years to come. The three players have been linked with moves away, with interest from several English and Spanish clubs for the three talented players who played important roles in getting Inter into the Champions League last season. Mauro Icardi, who scored 17 league goals, has extended his deal without seeing an increase in his contract, showing he's completely committed to the Nerazzurri. Memphis [Depay] and Mateo [Kovacic] have seen their wages increase, with Memphis Depay now earning an estimated £75,000 a week, more than doubling his original contract. Ronaldo has praised the board for allowing their deals to be extended, stating. "Today is like getting three new signings. If we want longevity we have to retain our prized assets. We have achieved this with these new deals, and it is an incentive to the rest of the lads that if they show consistent progression they will be rewarded". In addition Ronaldo has give goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, who's current contract was up next summer, a new three year deal.

No Deals
On the other hand, sixteen players failed to earn new deals before their contracts ended on the first of July. Most notable of these was Uruguayan international full back, Álvaro Pereira, who spent last season on loan at Brazilian giants, São Paulo FC. Ronaldo was unwilling to offer the defender a new deal, stating his proneness to injury as a major factor in his final decision. Third choice keeper Tommaso Berni was also shown the door in July, after failing to make an appearance for Ronaldo's side last season. The Brazilian manager believes the player needed to leave in order to get some first team football. Danish youngster Patrick Olsen also failed to earn a new deal and his currently looking for a new club.

Outs
Furthermore, Inter have negotiated several player sales in the opening weeks of July. Torino signed both Lorenzo Cristieg and Rene Krhin for a combined fee worth £4 million. With Lazio signing Ruben Botta for £3.2 million pounds. Chilean midfielder Gary Medel was also offloaded for £7 million to FC Porto, with Diego Laxalt moving to Serie A side Cagliari for £1.5 million. Also sold, after a poor loan spell at Sunderland, was Ricky Álvarez. The attacking midfielder was disposed of by Ronaldo a week after his return, joining French side Girondins Bordeaux for £5 million pounds, to be paid over 24 months.

Loans
Ronaldo has agreed to send several young stars out on loan deals this season, in an attempt to give them some much needed first team action, continuing their development as players. Melkamu Taufer, a highly rated defensive midfielder by members of the Inter backroom staff, has moved to Serviette FC in Switzerland for the remainder of the season. Ronaldo, who gave the midfielder his debut last season, sees this as an important chapter in the players development if he is to one day be a regular starter for Inter. Italian side Cittadella have negotiated loan deals for both Raffaele Di Gennaro and Federico Dimarco for the upcoming season. Dimarco, who was among the highest rated of the most recent young intake in March, will be hoping some valuable first team football will help him progress as a footballer, with his eye on a first team place at Inter in the long term. Finally, new signing Zakaria Bakkali has also been sent out on loan to French side EA Guingamp, who are paying a monthly fee to Inter worth £100,000.

More transfers, both in and out are expected in the coming weeks, with Ronaldo claiming to still have a considerable budget to work with.

Pre Season Begins

Internazionale have won and lost in the European leg of their pre-season schedule. Ronaldo decided to give 12 first team players an extra week of holiday before they rejoin the squad ahead of their visit to China. Games against Virtus Entella and Salzburg were therefore a great opportunity for Inter's fringe players and youngsters to show the manager what they could do.

It came as no surprise that Inter eased to victory away to Italian side Virtus Entella to start the new season off on a positive note. Romanian Dorin Rotariu scored after 36 minutes to give his side a half time with an exquisite solo effort. And the win was secured late on through Gino Peruzzi's header. The result flattered the home team who failed to register a shot on target, and Ronaldo will be pleased his squad got through their first fitness test unscathed and injury free.

Inter's trip to Austria wasn't so positive. Six goals were scored in the Red Bull Arena, however it was FC Red Bull Salzburg who came out on top with four of them. The Austrians snatched a two goal lead going into half time, with goals from Valon Berisha and Brazilian forward, Alan. The second half saw the introduction of new signing Roberto Pereyra, and 8 minutes into his debut he smashed one in from 25 yards out. However, a mix-up in defence led to an Inter own goal after 75 minutes, giving the Austrians a 3-1 lead. With two minutes of normal time remaining Salzburg went 4-1 up, Yordy Reyna tapping one in from close range. Inter did salvage some pride with a late consolation in added time through Italian striker, Federico Bonazzoli, but Ronaldo will be disappointed with his clubs defensive misfortunes. Full time, 4-2 to Salzburg. The players will now return to Milan for a few days before jetting off to the far east, where they'll face Beijing.

In Other News, ex-Manchester United and Lazio defender, Jaap Stam, has joined Ronaldo's backroom staff as his new assistant manager. Ronaldo is said to be excited to work with his new assistant and believes his defensive mentality will help balance the squad tactically ahead of the new season.

More Transfer Activity In Busy July For Inter

Ins
Internazionale fans will be delighted their club have captured the services of 22 year old Brazilian defensive midfielder Lucas Silva for a deal worth £10.5 million, with £3 million to be paid up front. The youngster is a household name in his native Brazil, having already been capped for his country whilst playing with Cruzeiro. The midfielder is seen as the heir to Gary Medel in the defensive midfield role, and was a consistent performer during his time in Brazil. Ronaldo described his fellow countryman as a player who "has the ability to spot a pass from nothing, his intelligence and understanding of the game makes him a valuable asset, and we're excited to give him his chance to play in Europe with our club".
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/08/22/1408716222483_wps_1_CRICIUMA_BRAZIL_AUGUST_9_.jpg

Questions might be asked about the price paid for the second deal secured this week. Right back Calum Chambers, one of England's brightest talents, has left London to join up with Ronaldo at Inter. The defender could cost the club up to £22.5 million after add ons, with £12 million being paid initially to the London side. This deal could mean a short spell for Gino Peruzzi who failed to show any consistency during his first season at Inter, with several mid-table Italian sides keen to take the player on. Chambers' athleticism makes him a dangerous threat going forward, his versatility was key to Ronaldo's decision to pursue the defender who can play a couple of positions. Fans will be expecting big things from the youngster who is said to be unfazed by the big price tag hanging over him.
http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article4122368.ece/alternates/s615/LIVE-Calum-Chambers.jpg

Thirdly, Inter have secured a bargain at left back, with the former Inter man, Davide Santon, returning home for as little as £4 million from Newcastle United. A deal that could go up to £7.5 million once he plays 50 league games for the club. The Italian international is said to be excited to return home and once again represent a club so close to his heart. Ronaldo commented on the deal, saying "Davide is back where he belong. And we are elated. The price was a fraction of his true value in my opinion, and I can't wait to work with him". Davide is seen as the successor to former loanee Dodo, who's returned to A.S. Roma for a season, before rejoining Inter a year.

Several youngster have also been signed up by Inter's head of youth development, Roberto Samaden. Michael Ventre joins from Genoa on a free transfer, joining up with the under 20 side. And Catania's Gian Luigi De Julils signed for a deal worth £1 million pounds. Ronaldo also scouted Europe for some young talents signing three players for a combined total of £920,000. These were midfielders Scott Greatorex of Lierse, Antonio Pereira of Beira-Mar, and Jon Lynch of Crewe Alexandra. All five players will initially join the youth set-ups at Inter - who knows what the future holds for these young talents!

Outs
Lukas Spendlhofer was next to be shown the door, leaving Inter for Catania, in a deal worth over half a million to his former employers. More surprisingly, Dorin Rotariu has been allowed to leave on loan to FC Twente for a season, after asking manager Ronaldo for a loan move in order to get some regular first team action this season. Ronaldo said "I'm glad he has the determination and the initiative to move away short term. Some players are happy to sit on the bench, but Dorin loves playing. He will do well with Twente, and we will be keeping a close eye on his progression".

In Other News, Inter bosses have expanded the number of coaches ahead of their return to Champions League. Former Manchester United and Everton coach Steve Round will join up with the Nerazurri, with Russia's goalkeeper coach, Massimo Neri taking a role with the club too. Former Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Spurs coach Kieran McKenna have joined up with the under 20's.
Successful Trips to China and the U.S. For Ronaldo and Co.

Over 40-thousand supporters attended the Workers' Stadium in Beijing to grab a glimpse of the Inter stars in action. And Ronaldo's men didn't disappoint. Five first half goals with Memphis Depay and Juan Jesus both grabbing a brace, with Spaniard Adama Traore grabbing the other; gave the Italian side a convincing lead going into the break. A host of changes second half killed the momentum Inter had built in the first 45 minutes, but the rout was finally complete after 83 minutes when Kevin Kampl's strike was too much for the Beijing goal keeper to deal with. Matteo Darmian had a fantastic performance in the game, but it was Memphis Depay that won the man of the match with two goals and two assists to show his manager exactly why he deserved an improved deal over the summer.

American minnows Virginia Legacy proved no match for the array of talent at Ronaldo's disposal. It was boys against men at the Albert-Daly Field, where over two thousand fans witnessed the annihilation of their local team. Inter were five up again in the first 45 minutes, goals from Richairo Zivkovic, Saphir Taider, Raheem Sterling, Adama Traore and an own goal put the game to bed before Virginia's players had a chance to breath. Inter didn't soften their approach second half, scoring another six goals to win 11-0 in the opening match of their American tour. Adama Traore's second half brace, secured a hat-trick for the Spaniard, there were also goals for Roberto Pereyra, Mauro Icardi, Fredy Guarin and youngster Reno Piscopo. Ronaldo highlighted his pleasure at his sides ruthlessness going forward, but emphasised the fact that this was mainly a fitness exercise for his far more talented squad.

Inter failed to replicate such a performance away to MLS side New England Revolution at the Gillette Stadium. A city famous for their American Football franchise, showed their "soccer" team has good something to shout about too. Inter were shut out by the defensively strong American side, with neither Richairo Zivkovic nor Mauro Icardi able to find a way through. Ronaldo would have been pleased though to see Samir Handanovic, Eder Alvarez Balanta and Calum Chambers take part in their first 90 minutes of pre season football, and securing a clean sheet in the process.

Inter's second win of the American tour came against the St. Louis Lions. All four goals came in an action packed first half that would have satisfied manager Ronaldo. Inter's top scorer last season, Mauro Icardi showed some fine goalscoring form with a brace agains the America side. Another goal from Saphir Taider and one for Memphis Depay, provided Inter with a comfortable win one again.

The final tour game was the eagerly anticipated match up of Internazionale versus American giants L.A. Galaxy. Inter once again took the initiative in the match scoring from a corner, as Eder Alvarez Balanta was left unmarked to head home the opening goal. Right on half time, new signing Raheem Sterling added a second as he cut inside playing a beautiful one-two pass with striker Zivkovic, before slotting it past the keeper at his near post. Galaxy's talisman Robbie Keane did get one back for the American side second half, but Inter held on to finish their pre-season on a high, winning 2-1 ahead of their Super Cup clash with Serie A champions Juventus.

Player Of Pre-Season - Saphir Taïder

In other news, Internazionale have secured the signing of Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony from Welsh side Swansea City. Beating off the interest of Arsenal and Liverpool, Inter agreed to sign the forward for an initial fee worth £6 million, a deal that could increase to £10 million if the player scores 40 league goals for his new club. Last season Bony scored 17 goals in the Premier League for Swansea, and Ronaldo will be hoping he can have a similar influence for the Nerazzurri.

Three More Deals Confirmed, With Captain Vidic Going The Other Way!
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/07/04/article-2680687-1F63EFE600000578-102_634x493.jpg

In a shock move, Inter Milan have decided to offload their captain, Nemanja Vidic for £2 million to Premier League side Southampton. Vidic was unwilling to take a wage cut at Inter, which resulted in Ronaldo deciding to sell the play who was earning over £90,000 a week. The former Serbian international made 39 appearances in all competitions for Inter, scoring 5 times, and lifting the Coppa Italia with them. But his proneness to injury and high wages have meant an abrupt end to the tenacious defender's time at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Also exiting the club is right back Gino Peruzzi. The right back failed to impress during a short lived spell at Inter, where he made 27 appearances in all competitions. The signing of Calum Chambers meant that Peruzzi had fallen further down the pecking order for the right back position. A £5 million pound offer from Sassuolo therefore spelt the end for his Inter career, in a deal that worked for both parties. Ronaldo has thanked the defender for representing the Nerazzurri and wished him all the best in his future career.

Benatia and Borini Arrive in Milan

Ronaldo has announced the signing of two new faces days before his early anticipated Super Cup game. Replacing the outgoing Nemanja Vidic, former A.S. Roma centre back and Moroccan international, Mehdi Benatia has signed for Inter in a deal worth £25 million. The 28 year old, who achieved a domestic double with Bayern last season has joined Inter having spoken in great detail with Ronaldo about the clubs vision. Benatia was said to be "excited to play under a legend of the game" and is excited at "the direction the club is heading, I want to be part of this special journey". This transfer has emphasised Inter's statement of intent this season to challenge on all fronts. Benatia has unfinished business in Italy, having never won silverware there with Udinese or A.S. Roma.

In addition, Italian forward Fabio Borini has joined the side on a season long loan deal from Liverpool. The deal gives Inter the option to sign Borini for £4.5 million, if Inter see fit. Borini's football was limited last season, making only 16 appearances, scoring five times. He'll hope to reproduce his 2012 form when he last played in the Serie A with A.S. Roma, scoring 9 goals, if he is to extend his stay at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Finally, Bilal Ould-Cheikh has signed for Inter in a deal worth £3 million, with an additional £4.5 million after possible add ons. The player will not however join up with Ronaldo and his Inter side until summer 2016, with the player remaining at FC Twente along with Inter's Dorin Rotariu for the season. The Dutch winger will be hoping he can have a similar impact to fellow Dutchman Memphis Depay once he arrives in Milan.

Numerous players have also left Inter on loan ahead of the season, here is a complete list of those heading out of Milan for the impending season:

The most notable of these is Richairo Zivkovic, who made several performances last season for Inter. Ronaldo is said to want the striker to play regular football for a season in order to continue his long-term progression. Many Inter fans will also be interested to see how highly rated youngsters Youri Tielemens, Jesus Vallejo, Federico Bonazzoli and Bilal Ould-Chiki perform at their temporary clubs. Ronaldo has said that each loan deal was carefully considered, and that all the players leaving have left to benefit the club in the long-term. "First team football is of paramount importance to these lads. Playing in top leagues around Europe can only benefit their progression. I'm excited to hear positive reports from my scouts assigned to watch them at their new clubs. They all have a chance to get into the Inter side if they can show me they possess the talent to do so".
Some nice signings!
Jonte-23 - Thanks! Appreciate the contribution! Hope you continue to read :)

Slow Start For Inter

Inter fell victim to a Juventus side out for revenge, having only taken one point against Ronaldo's men last season. A game of shots few and far between, came to life in the final 20 minutes in front of a packed crowd in Rome's Olimpico. It was Allegri's Juventus who struck first blood when former Spurs attacking midfielder, Christian Eriksen smashed one home from 25 yards out. Inter reacted by substituting Kevin Kampl for the Spaniard Adama Traore. Ronaldo's decision paid off with a minute of normal time remaining, as Traore's cross deep into the opposition's box, was met by a determined Memphis Depay, who slotted the ball past the experienced Gianluigi Buffon.

EXTRA TIME it was! Both sides continued to chase the win, neither wanting to play out a dreaded penalty shoot-out. Stephan Lichsteiner's mistimed tackle gave Inter an opportunity to do just that - penalty kick awarded. And it was new signing Lucas Silva that stepped up, a cool finish into the bottom left corner gave Inter a 2-1 lead, and it looked like the trophy was heading back to Milan. Yet, 3 minutes late the scores were even once more, when the Spanish international, Fernando Llorente scored from close range to make it 2-2. After 120 minutes of football, and the scores still tied, the match was to be decided by penalties. Juventus showed a ruthless spirit from the spot, scoring four of their five penalties. But Inter's hopes of winning the Super Cup were ended as they missed two of the first 4 penalties. Mateo Kovacic missing the fourth to seal their fate. Ronaldo will be disappointed to see his side lose on penalties to Juventus, but there is a lot of positives to take, with his side continuing to show the attacking flair going forward that helped his side finish 2nd last season.

The opening game of the new Serie A campaign proved to be a tricky fixture for home side Internazionale. Parma's stubborn defence were on fine form restricting last years runners-up to long shots. It was a set piece that proven to be their downfall, as new signing Roberto Pereyra's corner was perfectly crossed for Brazilian defender Juan Jesus to head into the top corner. Inter saw out the game without much danger from the away side, and Ronaldo would have been satisfied to start the campaign with 3 points and a clean sheet to go with it.

Inter finished the month with a respectable point away from home against Italian giants A.S. Roma. The game finished goalless with both sides failing to take their chances. New signing Wilfried Bony failed to impress on his first start, as he was unable to hit the target throughout the game. On a more positive note, performances from Calum Chambers, and Mehdi Benatia were notably impressive, with the players playing a key role in shutting out the Roma onslaught.

Player Of The Month - Juan Jesus

In other news, Inter were drawn into Group F of the UEFA Champions League. Nerazzurri fans will be disappointed that the group sees no easy game with game against 10 time winners Real Madrid, big spenders AS Monaco, and Turkish giants Fenerbahce, all to play over the coming months.
WOW a lot of Transfer activity, both will players joining and leaving!
Vsablackwatch - Yeah, it has been a busy transfer window! Hopefully the new signings can have an impact on the side this season! Thanks for reading, appreciate your support :)
September Sees Improvement For Inter

Inter Milan 3 Torino 0
Handanovic - Darmian - Benatia - Jesus - Santon - Silva - Romero - Pereyra - Kampl - Depay - Bony
After the international break Inter returned in top form with a convincing win against Torino. Kevin Kampl opened the scoring at the Giuseppe Meazza after 20 minutes from close range. And after 37 minutes Memphis Depay, on the opposite wing, scored a fantastic individual effort to give his side a 2-0 lead. Moments later, before Torino could compose themselves they found themselves three down following a poor challenge from centre back Bruno Uvini. Lucas Silva scored the resulting penalty to earn his side a 3-0 win over the Turin based side, moving Inter into second.

Real Madrid 1 Inter Milan 2
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Nagatomo - Silva - Romero - Kovacic - Traore - Depay - Borini
Group F started with a bang for Inter, as the Italians made their long awaited return to Europe's elite competition in style. It didn't take Real Madrid long to find the lead in front of the Spanish crowd, as Toni Kroos' shot from the edge of the box found the back of the net. Real were expected to go on to win this now after scoring first, but Inter's golden boy had different ideas. Memphis Depay made a Maradona-esque run from his own half before smashing it past the statuesque Iker Casillas. Half time 1-1. The second half was a cagey affair, with both sides sitting deep, unwilling to push too many players forward. But it was a moment of madness that ultimately decided the game. An awful tackle from Mats Hummels in the box on Ivorian Wilfried Bony saw Real down to ten men and Inter with a penalty. Brazilian Lucas Silva scored his second penalty in two games to give Inter a famous lead in Madrid. The Italians held on for 26 minutes, assisted by the man advantage, to take an incredible win at the Santiago Bernabeu. The former Real Madrid striker, now Inter manager, Ronaldo, said afterwards, "we have achieved an unthinkable result here in Madrid. But this is just one game. We have five more cup finals in this group stage if we are to progress further in the competition".

Sampdoria 3 Inter Milan 3
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Santon - Silva - Romero - Kovacic - Sterling - Depay - Bony
Internazionale forced a terrific comeback against top of the table Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris, to come from three down to earn a 3-3 draw. Bluecerchiati were two up after only 9 minutes with goals from Roberto Soriano and Manolo Gabbiadini. The home side were 3-0 up after 34 minutes with a goal from Nicola Sansone, and it looked as if the best Inter could hope for was damage limitation. However, a quick brace from Memphis Depay (38th and 43rd minute) made it 3-2 at half time, restoring hope of an Inter comeback. Wilfried Bony's second half finish was enough to secure a draw for the away side, and manager Ronaldo was pleased with the point and praised Wilfried Bony for ending his goal drought since joining the club in the summer.

Fiorentina 2 Inter Milan 1
Handanovic - Darmian - Benatia - Jesus - Nagatomo - Silva - Romero - Kovacic - Kampl - Depay - Borini
Inter's undefeated run came to an abrupt end as the club visited Fiorentina for their midweek Serie A clash. Three second half goals decided the match, with the Viola scoring twice through Carlos Carbonero and German striker Mario Gomez. Dutch maestro Memphis Depay did score a goal for Inter with 13 minutes left, but Nerazzurri failed in their attempts to push for an equaliser.

Inter Milan 5 Bologna 0
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Santon - Mikel - Taider - Kovacic - Sterling - Depay - Bony
Inter returned to winning ways in a home match against relegation battlers Bologna. Ronaldo gave starts to John Obi Mikel and Saphir Taider, after Lucas Romero was unavailable due to an injury, and Silva was in serious need of a rest. Sadly for the Algerian midfielder, Taider, his first start in the league was cut short when Bologna's Javad Nekounam made an awful challenge in the opening exchanges, resulting in a leg breaking injury for the Inter man who'd impressed during pre-season. On came Roberto Pereyra who gave a fine display in his place. But it was Wilfried Bony who added a second goal to his Inter career after 14 minutes from close range. Bologna proved themselves to be incapable of defending professionally from Inter set-pieces with Eder Alvarez Balanta twice heading in from corners to put his side 3-0 up after 26 minutes. Mateo Kovacic made it four before half time, intercepting Bologna's poorly timed pass and scoring from the edge of the box. The second half was more the same, Inter dominating possession and having the vast majority of the attacks. And after 73 minutes the fifth goal was scored from close range, with Fabio Borini getting one past the keeper from a tight angle. Inter boss Ronaldo described his attackers as "professional assassins" showing a merciless thirst for goals all game. He'll be hoping his side can maintain this attacking thirst ahead of his first Champions League game at the Giuseppe Meazza as Inter boss.

Inter Milan 2 Fenerbahce 0
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Ranocchia - Nagatomo - Silva - Pereyra - Kovacic - Traore - Depay - Bony
Inter finished September off by securing 6 points from 6 in their opening two Champions League games. A well drilled Fenerbahce side were unable to match the inform Inter side that brushed past Bologna with ease three days ago. Memphis Depay is fast becoming an Inter legend, and another goal after 27 minutes will do no harm for his growing reputation among the Nerazzurri faithful. Applause echoed around the stadium after 70 minutes when last seasons top scorer Mauro Icardi made his first appearance of the season, having suffered an injury during the Super Cup Final. And he showed the fans what they've been missing seven minutes after coming on, smashing a shot past the keeper to make it 2-0. Andrea Ranocchia also completed his first 90 minutes of the season, and gave a solid performance as always.

Player Of The Month - Memphis Depay

In Other News, Inter have secured the signing of Swedish youngster Carl Lundqvist from Malmo FF for £425,000. The versatile player can play in several roles and has been suggested as one of the best up and coming start to come out of Scandinavia in recent years. He will join the under 20 side in January 2016.
Inter Maintain Fine Form Through October

Empoli 1 Inter Milan 2
Handanovic - Darmian - Benatia - Balanta - Santon - Silva - Guarin - Kovacic - Sterling - Depay - Bony
Internazionale have began October with another win against bottom half side, Empoli. The away side took an early lead through Fredy Guarin, making his first start of the season after recovering from a shoulder injury. And after 16 minutes the Colombian had his second goal of the game. Empoli did snatch one back through Daniele Gastaldello, but it wasn't enough as Inter held on to take a valuable 3 points back to Milan before the upcoming international break.

Inter Milan 2 Atalanta 0
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Jesus - Santon - Silva - Romero - Kovacic - Borini - Depay - Icardi
Fabio Borini showcased his versatility going forward against a stubborn Atalanta defence. The striker, who player on the right wing this afternoon, scored a second half brace to earn his side a comfortable 2-0 win. Mauro Icardi started his first match of the season, but failed to grab a goal, yet Ronaldo was pleased to see the Italian play throughout the match without any issues. Among the substitutes was Ezequiel Schelotto, making his first appearance for Ronaldo's Inter and once again showing the former World Cup winners willingness to give young players first team opportunities.

Inter Milan 3 AS Monaco 0
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Nagatomo - Silva - Romero - Kovacic - Kampl - Depay - Bony
Inter have stretched their win streak in the Champions League to 3 wins in 3, keeping them top of Group F at the half way point with 9 points. Dubbed the "group of death" by some pundits, Inter went into this match against Ligue 1 runners-up AS Monaco in high spirits, and it took roughly 120 seconds for the Nerazzurri to find a way past former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, when Kevin Kampl finished from close range. Inter's possessional style of play made it difficult for the French side to find a way back into the game, with Mehdi Benatia and his defensive partner Eder Alvarez Balanta giving viewers a masterclass on how to defend to the highest standard. Substitute Adama Traore stole the show late on with a brace, scoring after 82 and 91 minutes to give Inter a 3-0 win against the cash rich side.

Udinese 1 Inter Milan 1
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Ranocchia - Nagatomo - Silva - Romero - Kovacic - Kampl - Depay - Icardi
Ronaldo's side failed to win for the first time in October during a difficult visit to the Friuli. Udinese took an early lead through their veteran attacker, Antonio Di Natale. Ronaldo made three changes from the side that beat Atalanta last weekend, but only Yuto Nagatomo produced a solid performance, with neither Andrea Ranocchia nor Kevin Kampl giving the manager anything positive to take from their respective performances. Worryingly Mauro Icardi, returning from injury, once again failed to hit the target, and it was down to his replacement, Wilfried Bony, to get Inter level at 1-1 after 69 minutes. The game finished with both sides taking a share of the spoils, but with Ronaldo having plenty to ponder ahead of his home clash against newly promoted Perugia.

Inter Milan 3 Perugia 1
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Santon - Silva - Romero - Kovacic - Kampl - Depay - Icardi
Ronaldo's faith in striker Mauro Icardi was finally rewarded in this midweek clash, with the Italian forward scoring from the edge of the box to give his side a 1-0 lead at half time. Perugia gave a strong defensive performance, withstanding Inter's relentless attacking mentality. It was the late changes made by the manager that ultimately sealed Perugia's fate, with both Fredy Guarin and Ivorian, Wilfried Bony, scoring in the later stages of the game. There was some consolation for the travelling support, when Lorenzo Musto scored the goal of the evening with a long distance shot, flying into the top right corner.

Player Of The Month - Mehdi Benatia

In other news, this month has seen the completion of renovations to both the training and youth facilities at Internazionale. The Angelo Moratti Sports Centre, which originally opened in 1963, has recieved a huge investment in order to get the facility in line with the best in Europe. The training complex now boasts an extra two football pitches, a newly refurbished gym, a new cafeteria, and many other improvements. Ronaldo has praised the board for implementing these changes, saying "It is important that Inter doesn't stand still. These improvements will assist our players in reaching their potential, and will attract more players to join our club in the future. These are exciting times for the club!"

Difficult November Passes Without Defeat

Napoli 1 Inter Milan 3
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Nagatomo - Silva - Kovacic - Romero - Traore - Depay - Bony
This weekends most anticipated match day didn't fail to disappoint to start November off with a bang! Inter were two up after 20 minutes with goals from the ever-reliable Memphis Depay and ex-Swansea striker Wilfried Bony. The Nerazzurri were soon three goals ahead, with Spanish sensation Adama Traore once again showing Barcelona fans what they've missed out on. The second half was a well drilled defensive performance from the away side, restricting Napoli's attacking threat. Gonzalo Higuain did score a late goal for the home side, giving them a brief glimmer of hope in the match. But Ronaldo's side held on to win 3-1 at the San Paolo.

AS Monaco Inter Milan 3
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Jesus - Santon - Mikel - Pereyra - Romero - Kampl - Depay - Icardi
Inter fans went through a host of emotions in their fourth Champions League group game at the Stade Louis II, against AS Monaco. The French side, desperate to get a win over Ronaldo's men went 1-0 down early on, as striker Mauro Icardi smashed one in with his weaker foot. Despite the financial power backing the French side, the attendance for the match was a substandard thirteen-thousand. Memphis Depay gave those who had bothered to turn up something else to groan about after 63 minutes, making it 2-0, as it looked like the game was over. However, Ronaldo saw one of the several changes he'd made for this midweek clash, John Obi Mikel, make an awful challenge in the box to give the home side a spot kick. Dries Mertens beat the keeper to make it 2-1, with the momentum now with Monaco. And it only took them 10 minutes to grab an equaliser from Wissam Ben Yedder. But there was to be one more twist in the tale - substitute Wilfried Bony tapped one in from close range to give his side a 3-2 victory over Monaco, guaranteeing a place for his side in the next round with two games to spare!

Inter Milan 1 Lazio 0
Handanovic - Darmian - Ranocchia - Balanta - Nagatomo - Silva - Kovacic - Romero - Guarin - Depay - Borini
In a cagey affair at the Giuseppe Meazza with limited shots on goal, in was a set piece that decided the match on 27 minutes. Fredy Guarin's perfectly timed cross was volleyed in by centre back Eder Alvarez Balanta, showing all the striking prowess of an experienced centre forward. There were starts for defenders Matteo Darmian and Andrea Ranoochia, who'd been frozen out of late. Both performed well, helping Inter to keep a clean sheet, and boasting the clubs strong squad depth under their Brazilian boss.

Juventus 3 Inter Milan 3
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Santon - Mikel - Guarin - Romero - Pereyra - Depay - Icardi
Several changes were made ahead of this top of the table clash against Juventus away. A breathtaking first half display gave Inter a deserved 2-0 lead after 45 minutes. Mauro Icardi payed back his manager's faith in him early on with an outstanding solo effort to make it 1-0 after quarter of an hour. Memphis Depay's mazey runs were causing endless problems for Juve's defence, and after 35 minutes the Dutchman finally got his reward, making it 2-0. Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allergi, must have given his team an inspired half time team talk, sending the battered players out onto the pitch early, because the second half was a complete contrast from the first. Juventus could have taken all the points, going 3-2 up after goals from forwards Carlos Tevez (x2) and Domenico Berardi. Fabio Borini was Inter's super sub though, snatching a late equaliser from a diving header to earn his side a point in this six goal thriller.

Inter Milan 2 Real Madrid 1
Handanovic - Darmian - Ranocchia - Jesus - Nagatomo - Silva - Guarin - Romero - Traore - Depay - Bony
It was deja vu at the Giuseppe Meazza as Inter once again managed a 2-1 victory over the tournament favourites Real Madrid, securing top spot in the group with a game to spare. Adama Traore scored the only goal of the first half, showing similar attributes to Real's Cristiano Ronaldo to manoeuvre his way past the Spanish defence. And it was Cristiano [Ronaldo] who levelled things up on the hour, scoring from the penalty spot, having been fouled by an over-enthusiastic tackle from Brazilian Lucas Silva. However, a Real win wasn't meant to be, and with 3 minutes of normal time left on the clock it was the Inter hero Memphis Depay who smashed home the winning goal, sending the home fans into party mode.

Inter Milan 2 AC Milan 2
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Jesus - Santon - Mikel - Guarin - Pereyra - Sterling - Depay - Icardi
Points were shared in the first Milan derby of the season with Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin scoring twice for Ronaldo's men. AC Milan found the net on two occasions, once in both halves. Midfielder Andrea Poli grabbed AC's first with a long range strike at goal. Their second came from the penalty spot, Inter's lack of discipline was punished, and Giuliano scored from the spot. Ronaldo was disappointed to see his side concede twice from winning positions against their fierce rivals, but was pleased his side maintained their undefeated run into December.

Mixed Results For Inter Ahead Of Winter Break

Palermo 0 Inter Milan 4
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Nagatomo - Silva - Romero - Guarin - Sterling - Depay - Icardi
Inter dominated Serie A opposition Palermo in their opening game of December, showing no signs of ending their fine form. A first half brace for Mauro Icardi helped Inter on their way to a convincing win on the road. English winger and record signing Raheem Sterling opened his account for Inter with an unstoppable strike from the edge of the area to ensure Inter went in 3-0 up at half time. An early second half goal from Memphis Depay made it 4-0, and despite Inter's continued attacks against a statuesque Palermo defence the game remained without any more goals. Ronaldo expressed his delight at the performance, hailing Mauro Icardi's performance as the "complete performance from the forward".

Fenerbahce 1 Inter Milan 0
Bardi - Darmian - Ranocchia - Jesus - Santon - Mikel - Pereyra - Kampl - Traore - Sterling - Borini
With Italians already guaranteed top spot, Ronaldo decided to rest several key players ahead of their top of the table clash with Serie A's surprise package Cagliari on the weekend. Francesco Bardi started his first game in goals for the Brazilian manager, with several fringe players like John Obi Mikel and Andrea Ranocchia, who's game-time has been limited, getting much appreciated starts. But this changed Inter side failed to impress at the Turkish champions' home. A sole finish second before half time from Beykan Simsek was enough to secure a 1-0 win and third place in the group for Fenerbahce, ending Inter's unbeaten Champions League campaign. Inter fans can now turn their attention to the draw next week, with the Nerazzurri hoping to avoid the big guns for the next round.

Final Table (Group F):

Inter Milan 0 Cagliari 2
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Santon - Silva - Pereyra - Romero - Sterling - Depay - Icardi
Despite Ronaldo resting several Inter stars in the week ahead of this top of the table clash, Inter failed to make their chances pay, and suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Cagliari. £3 million pound summer signing Alan, a Brazilian striker who had already stunned Inter in pre-season playing for Salzburg, gave his side a 1-0 lead in the first half after scoring from an unmarked cross. The second half proved no easier for the poor performing Inter side, and it was Cagliari's other striker, Colombian Victor Ibarbo, who put the final nail in the home sides metaphorical coffin. Inter's players left the players to a few jeers from the disgruntled home support. Ronaldo stated his anger at the performance, saying that some players "are already on their Christmas holidays". Ronaldo has apologies for the performance, and is adamant to end 2015 on a high when his side face Spezia away from home next weekend.

In other news, the Champions League 1st Knockout Round draw was announced in UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, with Inter successfully avoiding the "big" clubs, drawing Austrian side FC Red Bull Salzburg in the next round.

Spezia 0 Inter Milan 2
Handanovic - Chambers - Jesus - Balanta - Nagatomo - Silva - Kovacic - Romero - Sterling - Depay - Icardi
Inter Milan ended 2015 with a straightforward 2-0 win away to recently promoted, Spezia. The home side gave a heroic defensive performance against an Inter side determined to put last weeks nightmare behind them. After 67 minutes the deadlock was finally broken, with Croatian Mateo Kovacic scoring from inside the box. Inter fans gave a fantastic reception to the oncoming substitute Saphir Taider in the 75 minute, in his first appearance since suffering an injury back in September. However, it was Ronaldo's final sub, Wilfried Bony, that got the biggest roar, as the striker smashed in Inter's second of the evening to make it 2-0. Ronaldo was quoted stating his happiness at ending the year on a high, and is excited to see his said continue their assault on all three competitions in 2016. Inter will face Pescara in the 1st round of the Coppa Italia in early January as defending champions.

The rest of the game was end-to-end stuff with endless attempts on goal. However, the match finished 2-0, meaning it was three league wins on the bounce for the Nerazzurri.

Inter Milan 3 Pescara 2
Bardi - Donkor - Ranocchia - Jesus - Santon - Silva - Greatorex - Taider - Borini - Sterling - Bony
Inter Milan began their defence of the Coppa Italia with a five goal thriller at home to lower league side Pescara. With Inter making numerous changes, and giving a first team debut to midfielder Scott Greatorex, it was the away side that took advantage. Two goals in the opening 15 minutes ensured Pescara had a strong lead in the Giuseppe Meazza. On-loan striker Tony Sanabria (from A.S. Roma), gave his side an early lead after 8 minutes, and it was Riccardo Maniero's cool finish that doubled their lead. After the second goal Inter's mentality changed, and they were playing much higher up the pitch in an attempt to claw one back. That goal came after 25 minutes, with the Ivorian forward, Wilfried Bony, heading one in from 5 yards out. Inter's unrelenting attack looked like it was in vain, as Pescara held on to their one goal lead until the dying moments. But it was Italian Fabio Borini, playing on the wing, who scored a late equaliser for Inter to save their blushes and take it to extra time. Ronaldo made three subs; Joh Obi Mikel came on to give a strong performance in defensive midfield, stopping Pescara from grabbing a third, and versatile midfielder Carl Lundqvist made his Inter debut. But it was Ronaldo's third substitute that had the biggest influence on the game, Roberto Pereyra, scoring the match winner after 111 minutes of play to secure Inter's place in the quarter-finals, where they'll face Juventus.

Parma 2 Inter Milan 2
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Nagatomo - Silva - Guarin - Kovacic - Sterling - Depay - Icardi
Inter failed to win for the first time this year, grabbing a late draw away to Parma. The home side were 2-1 up after 45 minutes and controlling the match with goals from Raffaele Palladino and a penalty from Alvaro Ampuero, after Mateo Kovacic had given Inter the lead, scoring against the run of play from a counter attacking move. Substitute Wilfried Bony grabbed Inter a point, with a late strike from inside the oppositions area. Ronaldo was said to be pleased to earn a point under tough circumstances. But Mauro Icardi's performance will worry some Inter fans, as the player struggles to maintain the consistency we saw last season.

Inter Milan 2 Juventus 0
Handanovic - Darmian - Jesus - Balanta - Santon - Mikel - Pereyra - Guarin - Traore - Borini - Icardi
Inter secured a play in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia this evening, with Fiorentina now their only obstacle between them and a place in the final. Inter boss Ronaldo brought Matteo Darmian and John Obi Mikel back into the starting XI for the first time in 2016, and neither failed to disappoint. Uruguayan midfielder Roberto Pereyra gave a man of the match performance, creating both goals to grab himself a brace of assists. Mauro Icardi's goal drought was ended early on, to the relief of his onlooking manager, as he smashed one past the experienced Gianluigi Buffon. The second came late on, when substitute Raheem Sterling scored an exquisite goal running from inside his own half, before slotting past the keeper on his near post. Fans left the stadium in high spirits, with many dreaming of more cup glory to come.

Inter Milan 0 A.S. Roma 2
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Jesus - Nagatomo - Silva - Guarin - Kovacic - Sterling - Depay - Bony
Inter's undefeated run came crashing back down to earth today, as Ronaldo's side were beaten 2-0 at home to A.S. Roma. Goals from Greek due Jose Holebas and Kostas Manolas secured the points against a below-par Inter side. The Nerazzurri has chances to score themselves but lacked the efficiency going forward that has seen them do so well since the new manager took over the reins last season.

Torino 1 Inter Milan 2
Handanovic - Chambers - Benatia - Balanta - Nagaatomo - Silva - Pereyra - Kovacic - Sterling - Depay - Icardi
Four days after their dismal home performance against A.S. Roma things looked like they were going from bad to worse, when Torino were holding on to a 1-0 lead at half-time, via a Duvan Zapata goal. Luckily for Inter, Torino and ex-Inter midfielder Rene Krhin, was given a red card after 57 minutes, earning Inter a penalty in the process. The travelling side evened the score with Mauro Icardi hitting a sweet striker into the top corner from the spot. From then on in it was all Inter. And finally the victory was sealed after 74 minutes, when an unmarked Mehdi Benati headed his side into the lead in front of the 22-thousand strong crowd. Afterwards Ronaldo praised his sides second half performance, saying "The red card was the game changer. Once Mauro [Icardi] had scored from the spot we knew we could win it. 2-1 flatters Torino, we wasted numerous chances throughout the second half, our final ball wasn't up to the usual standard I expect. But we are happy to win".
