Hello!

Hey guys, this will be my first story in a while so bare with me as I might be a little... Rusty. I hope you do enjoy it though, here it is.

The Club

The almighty Hammers, West Ham United is the club I'll be managing. Why? Well It's a well known English club that I respect and tend to always do well, and just thought would make an interesting story overall.

One of my favorite chants of all time.

The Manager

I will be sticking with good 'ol Sam. He knows what he's doing, he's building something with a strong mentality and I like it, so i'll just pick up right where he left off - and will try to sing mainly English talents to keep domestic bias high... The fans usually love that.

Enjoy!

Uncle Sam Talks Pre-Season

Sam Allardyce today spoke to the media rearding the upcoming season, he seemed relax and confident from watching the first few training sessions with the lads, and with the addition of a few more elements he might just be able to achieve a bit more than relegation race safety.

Although when asked about his targets he simply dodged the question, in the very least stating that they were eyeing two very talented english talents, which was always going to be the case from recent talk from Allardyce regarding the Premier needing more englishman playing week in and week out as a form of helping the national team performances.

As for technical and tactical talk he merely stated he'd approach a more offensive mentality to not let all this potential go to waste behind the line of the ball. He may be looking at variations of a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 with the wingers staying wide and providing support for the striker. Big hopes are placed on Andy Carroll, as Sam hopes for him to come through this season for West Ham and take the team by hand.

We'll see how that will turn out.

Transfer Targets

- English Nationality
- Age must be at most 26 or younger.

Fullbacks & Technical Center Mids.

suggestions are welcome, also THANKS FOR THE G'LUCK GUYS!

Two join the Hammers!

Ben Mee had been on West Hams radar for a while now, and is said happy to have joined the Irons.

Ben Mee was reported to be this seasons first signing, due to finding a lack of fullbacks at his disposition he thought well to look in Mee, a solid player, as a reinforcement. Mee shines well in the defensive department, no-nonsense clearings are part of his game and can occasionaly move up to provide support or a few crosses into the box.

Will Hughes finally able to prove his worth in the Premier League at only 19 of age.

Will Hughes is where the team splashed the cash, for a young english talent at that which is something you don't particularly see often. Very well known as one of the top english talents around, very technical box to box midfielder in which Sam puts alot of hope in, from what the club decided to spend on him. Hughes father was the anchor for the negotiations, he definetly wanted Will to accept the Hammers offer and play for one of the best teams in england, in the Premier League.

During the presentation big Sam put both his arms around the players and joked about both of them having a big chance to prove themselves at Boleyn Ground, his relationship with the players is a very close one right from the start as he tries to bring them together as a family, and this is clear to the fans when they watch them play through the season. Although now they may be looking into selling a few players, maybe take a few years off the average age of the team - It could be a turbulent summer, we'll have to wait and see.

Friendly Results

West Hams friendly entourage begun, after 3 positive home results they've packed their bags and gone around europe in various different cities to teach them a lesson or two on playing real football. With this array of positive results big Sam couldn't have been any happier and can't wait for the upcoming season to start; all the ingredients for a great campaign are there!

Transfer Talk

West Ham have said to reject a £7.2m bid from Fiorentina for Winston Reid! - Allardyce declared the boy still had a key spot in his plans and unless any crazy offers came along he would stay for a few more years to come.

Everton have signed Cassano on a free, the 31 year old italian would probably have to integrate himself in england first, having to move his family over and learn the language so it could be a risky signing for the Toffees.

Verratti, Dedè & Nathaniel Clyne all sign for Chelsea, who are now clearly prime favorites for the title win, as they splash the cash to sign the best possible options to reinforce their already very, very strong squad.

Dragovic set to sign for Liverpool, fee undisclosed. The young center back was said happy to join one of the best european teams around, and finally getting around to hopefully playing Champions League football.

Ignazio Abate to sign for Tottenham Hotspurs, same as Cassano over at Everton he'll have to settle down and merge with the group - but it could turn out to be just what the Spurs needed in their starting line-up.

Sneijder & Vertonghen to sign for Manchester United, as the red devils splash the cash for the dutch playmaker and the beglian center back. After coming from a bad season United will be looking to go back into european football, and look to turn a few heads as they do so with these great signings.

The Irons Hammered with 7 Summer Injuries

Unfortunately for West Ham United, the infirmary has become quite cluttered through the passing days racking up to 7 names to the list.

Kouyatè out for 2-3 weeks
Alex Song out for 2 weeks
Andy Carroll out for 2-3 months
Matt Jarvis out for 3-5 weeks
Ben Mee out for a few days
Carl Jenkinson out for a month
Guy Demel out for a month

Definetly not what uncle Sam had expected before the seasons start...

Not bad going so far :)
Some interesting transfers, I like the transfer policy idea. Some decent results but those injuries will be tough to deal with.
Ben Mee? Not sure how he improves the team, but whatevs
Will Hughes joins, he's a quite a way from Derby but....Uncle Sam will take care of him.

The Hammers finally debut in the League

West Ham finally to play their first competitive game in August. Despise the large number of injuries Sam Allardyce is said to have a very competitive line-up for the home match against West Bromwich Albion, and wants the players to remain concentrated with the eyes on the prize.

West Ham vs West Brom

Carlton Cole 2' min - Assist by Will Hughes, short pass into the box
Saido Berahino 8'min Goal - Long ball from Mulumbu over the defense one on one with GK
Saido Berahino 12'min - Crossed in from Brunt over to the far post for a tap in.
Amalfitano hits the post in the 24'min

At half time Sam gave a sturdy talk on what he expected to see during second half.

Morgan Amalfitano 47'min - Assist from a short pass by Cole into the box.
Enner Valencia 60'min - Rebounded Cross from Ben Mee, falls onto O'Brien who passes it to Valencia into the box and scores.
Youssouf Mulumbu 76'min - Passed from Yacob through a corner set play, places the shot into the net.

Motm: Saido Berahino 8.80 rating

A very ballsy first impression from the Hammers, they started the goal scoaring party this afternoon at Boleyn Ground, too bad the defense couldn't keep up with the fast paced action. For summer football this was a very good exhibition, and now we have an idea of how Sam plans to field his team, he's definetly trying to see goals happen for the Irons.

Some other interesting results include Arsenal drawing with City 2-2 and Palace drawing with Spurs 2-2 at home. The table sees West Ham in 9th with 1 point after 1 game played, with Newcastle next on the list who just lost 3-0 against Sunderland.
