August Results Wrap-Up; Smashing

BPL:Newcastle vs West Ham, CoC:West Ham vs Barnsley, BPL:West Ham vs Swansea.

With three straight wins in a row Sams team is finding form quite fast, and with only having conceeded one single goal (against Swansea) Sams defensive troubles also seem to have to come to an end. Very few teams are currently in the form West Ham are in, and that's why they find themselves momentarily in 2nd place at the end of August, although in very early days, that's why Allardyce himself kept saying to the team there were many games left and this was only the begining.

Although the Swansea victory seems the most impressive, the Newcastle away win is what the boss is really proud over - they looked very dangerous throughout the game, with a few offside goals disallowed for Newcastle they were surely prominent in their play, despite having loss away to Sunderland in the derby a week ago 3-0 he spoke good words for them and their relegation campaign will surely be completed sooner than before.

Stewart Downing was also named player of the month for West Ham, having bagged a few goals already, with a high average rating he's one of Sams current stars, and a definite starter. Although they'll be wondering how long their current form will last, as the next teams they'll be facing will be Southampton away in the league, Derby at home in the Cup, and then Stoke at home in the league again... And right after that, Manchester City, the Hammers first real test.

September: Rumble in the Jungle

September started off very promising, and to be honest quite lucky against Southampton, though that luck didn't last very long. At the very least beating Stoke 4-0 had West Ham fans going mental, top of the table at the time and dreaming of the undreamable; Europa, or even... Champions League Football. Unfortunately, an early knock out of the Capital One Cup saw the Hammers form take a dip, along with 3 more injuries in the infirmary, tallying up to a grand total of 10 players out on injuries! This had been a negative record for the club, although not the last negative record they would have broken in that month.

And then it happened, away to Manchester City. Sam tried to rally up the troops, though Adrian was out so they were going to play the match with 39 year old Jussi Jaaskelalnen and almost no subs in the bench (as most youths had gone out on loan for a few months in lower leagues). And it happened, like the Roman Empire - the Irons fell. One goal after the next, wave after wave, they were helpless, the very definition of a "hammering". Now Sam will have to try and put this all behind him, and his team... Although it might not be easy, and form may not pick back up right away, supporters silver lining remains the 5th place they currently still hold with only one loss, although that one loss being the biggest recorded loss in the Barclays Premier League.

Yeah, I know... 10 players Injured & terrible GK starting against one of the best teams in the game will do that to ya. Btw, took yer idea for the "next update" chain links in every post really liked it :) hope ya don't mind.

October: Performance Matters

It was a hard moment for the Hammers following the 7-0 defeat at the Etihad, but they've managed to at least put in some dignified performances as of late against some top side clubs. The derbies always bring the most out of the fans, who chanted along and acted as the 12th man on the pitch for the Irons, as they came up 1-0 at the end of the first half against Arsenal, although despite completely dominating the match in both posession and shots/shots on target, they only brought 1 point. Same goes for the "away" London Derby at Stamford Bridge, very good performances all together but unfortunately there was no way for us to beat Courtois.

And then the silver lining, a win at home against Everton, where we started with a misplaced penalty from Collins, but he went on to make up for this mistake later on. Enner Valencia also had a goal and a very good game, but Sam was pleased at how the team reacted after the first two losses against two very good teams in the Premier. Despite a few hick-ups this saw the Hammers reach the 7th place in the league on the table at the end of October and the fans were still very optimist for what would be to come ahead.

Only two losses for West Ham this season so far.

With those fixture it was always going to be a challenging month, but it seems as if your team put in some spirited displays and 4 points out of a possible 9 points, isn't too bad either. One question though: Why the hell was James Collins taking a penalty? :P

Believe it or not the engine picked out the player with the highest Penalty stat that time on the pitch, and it just so happened to be Collins lmfao, terrible mistake from me for not setting up penalty takers in tactic overview.
