Oxford United duo credit Duberry for turnaround wins

Oxford United defenders Jake Wright and Luke O'Neill have praised their new manager Michael Duberry after a perfect month.
In September, The U's twice came back from a goal down at the half time break to earn wins against both Southend United and Exeter City. United captain Wright and on-loan Burnley defender Luke O'Neill have given credit to the Enfield-born manager for turning the games around and being able to achieve a perfect record last month.
Duberry's team picked up a maximum fifteen points over five league games played last month and also beat Cheltenham to earn a place in the 2nd Round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Despite a shaky start to the season, Oxford's results have really began to pick up now and this was recognized when Duberry won the League 2 Manager of the Month award in September.
The former Chelsea and Oxford player has utilized his loan signings like Kemar Roofe from West Bromwich Albion, who picked up the League 2 Player of the Month award in September after scoring three goals in five games for his club.
Luke O'Neill is another of the loan signings made by Duberry, and the 23-year-old Burnley right back has featured in all of the league games played by Oxford so far this season, with some impressive performances to go with his ever-present record. O'Neill and Wright have both spoken to Sky Sports about the recent performances of the team.
[Jake Wright:] "It's clear to anyone to see that there's been a huge change in our performances in the last month when you compare it with the start we made to our season. We've started to really understand and get to grips with Michael's style of play and he has to be credited for our recent form. Obviously myself, Luke and the rest of the squad have also done well but in my opinion, if we'd been trailing at half time at the start of the season or with Gary Waddock towards the end of last season, we wouldn't have found the motivation to turn it around."
[Luke O'Neill:] "Yeah, I agree 100% with Jake. It's a really impressive feat to be able to come into a club with no previous managerial experience and be able to lead your team to five wins out of five in only your second month. Those two games we turned around in September, all of the lads on the pitch weren't feeling up to it when we came in for the half time break, but Mike gave us a really motivating talk and we came back out and snatched the wins on both occasions. I think that just demonstrates the character of him."
