Introduction

http://static.sportskeeda.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/scums1-1426094311.jpg

I came across this site and as i am a hardcore FM player i thought it'd be cool to go ahead and share my career with other fanatics of the series. In this story i will be looking to revive the club i support Manchester United. I find i don't have alot of spare time with work and always being busy at the weekends but i thought this is too much of a good idea i need to make time to do something like this!

As you can tell from the description i will be playing as myself Adam Deverell & will be looking to get Manchester United back at the top of the pile both in England and Europe. I don't want to achieve this just by going out and buying top class/world renowned players for however much £££ but instead want to bring through the youngsters already at the club and develop them into world beaters themselves, that's what i love about the club.

I will say bear with me as i'm new to all of this so i will do my best to make it as interesting a read as possible, i hope you enjoy & the first post will be up in due course!

James Cooper: Yes it's been a whirlwind week for all involved with Manchester United with van Gaal's sudden resignation due to health issues and now we are being told a new man has been identified and an announcement is imminent. What is interesting from what i hear is this is not a well known name in the game and i'm sure plenty on questions are going to be asked, as it stands now however Manchester United seem to have there man set & all we can do now is wait for the unveiling.

I wonder who it is...

Deverell Appointed On A 3 Year Deal

Manchester United have today announced the appointment of Adam Deverell with the new manager believed to have signed a 3 year deal. He comes into the roll with no past managerial experience so this has of course come as a shock to not just the fans but football worldwide. We caught up with some of the fans and here were there views..

Fan #1: I'm sure i can speak for the majority of fans it's shocking, who even is he? I worry for our future..

Fan #2: The biggest football club in the world with the most unknown manager in the world, good mix.

Fan #3: It makes no sense whatsoever, when i first heard of the news i thought it was a wind up!

Fan #4: We've heard alot of rumors how he has a good relationship with Ed Woodward and have a good footballing connection but this is a completely different scenario there isn't any logic to this, where's David Moyes when ya need him eyy??

Ed Woodward hasn't had the most pleasant of starts to the executive role. Woodward was accused by many Manchester United fans as being a pawn to the Glazer's family and prioritising the club's financial success over the club's performance. Woodward's first transfer window, where Manchester United completed the signing of Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini from Everton, but failed to acquire other transfer targets, was described as being "disastrous" by The Daily Telegraph. Following the poor summer transfer window in 2013, fans had demanded the sacking of Woodward.
Good luck at Man U. I have had a great save with them this year and it has been really enjoyable and fun :D

Deverell's First Press Conference

Studio: Just a few days ago Manchester United announced Adam Deverell would be replacing Louis van Gaal, since then there's been an uproar with fans and media alike..earlier today he held his first press conference in what turned out to be an interesting watch. Here were some of the main talking points..

On the fans reaction: It's expected..*pause* the fans are the voice of a football club and they will of wanted a more experienced name leading the team. My job is to win them round and bring the trophies back to this incredible club, l have every confidence i am the man to do that i would not be sat here in front of you today with a 3 year deal if i thought otherwise.

On Ed Woodward: I can't speak any more highly of the man. I've known him a number of years now and i thank him for this opportunity. He knows the love i have for this game and the club Manchester United, he knows i have a desire to bring success & a determination to build something and that's exactly what i want to do.

On meeting the squad: The lads have been fantastic, it's no more less than i expected though. I'm a fresh face from the wilderness who has landed a job at the biggest football club in the world & we all share the same goals and targets for where this club should be and it's my job to see to it we accomplish those. The first training session was very good..Wayne (Rooney) had forgotten my name 2 or 3 times in which i had to write my name on a sticky note and plant it on him. That way he would never forget my name! *laughs around the room*

On signing's: I shall go away with the team for pre-season, evaluate everyone and go from there, one thing they all know from me is they will have there chance. If i'm impressed with what i see then i may not find it necessary to add to the squad but that is not something i can give you a definitive answer to at this time.

Player of the Month

Winger has scored & assisted 3 times in impressive start to life in England

Summary

A perfect first month with some very impressive performances. Swansea were tough to break down but two 2nd half goals saw them off, the trip to Anfield was much more comfortable than expected with Angel Di Maria terrifying L'Pool's defence and getting on the scoresheet. The cup tie with Bradford was a chance to see many of my youngsters in action, James Wilson scoring his first of the season & Adnan Januzaj scoring the other aswell as missing from the spot in injury time saw to it a place in the 3rd round. We wrapped up the month with a demolition of Arsenal at Old Trafford, Di Maria having a blinder aswell as Januzaj, Rooney and van Persie against his old club.
Really nice start to the story mate, with a great first month in charge!

Deverell: No Signing's On Deadline Day

Manchester United boss Adam Deverell has said there will be no signings on the final day of the transfer window. The reds are all set for a quiet day unless the manager springs a surprise. The 4-0 win over Arsenal yesterday maintained United's perfect start to the season and after it Deverell said he would be doing no business before the window closes.

I am happy with the squad i have at my dispoal, there will be no activity from us but i will keep an eye on how the day pans out.

Anders Lindegaard left the club after a 3 and a half year stay at Old Trafford along with fellow goalkeeper Ben Amos who had been at the club since he was 11 years old. This remains the only transfer activity from Adam Deverell since he took charge and looks to remain that way until atleast January.

Player of the Month

Ben Pearson had a debut to remember scoring twice and assisting another in 4-0 win over WBA

Summary

The players came back from international duty raring to pick up where they left off, instead we come up against a spirited Newcastle team who were quick to go infront and then defend wonderfully to inflict our first defeat of the season. The next match at home to WBA was a day to remember for young debutant Ben Pearson who scored twice (the 2nd being a screamer) on route to a 4-0 win, our joy was hit by a serious injury to Ander Herrera who sustained a broken leg on the stoke of half time and will now miss the next 6 months. We then met Derby in the COC 3rd round and after enjoying a good first half taking a 2 goal lead Derby came back to level the match at 2-2 and take it to extra time. We got back in front in extra time but again Derby equalized in the last seconds taking the game to penalties, Andreas Pereira missed his kick and with Derby converting all 5 of there's ensured they progressed to the 4th round. Our miserable month was made even worse with a flat 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge which leaves us in 4th position.

Scholes: Ben Pearson has a bright future

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes says current reds starlet Ben Pearson has all the attributes to make a career at Old Trafford after watching another good display in the 2-1 win over West Ham. The iconic midfielder was part of the team for Saturday night football which covered the game and he highlighted the youngster's determination and tireless workrate over the 90 minutes that had him particularly impressed.

He looked as if he has been part of the first team for years out there tonight, the kid didn't look fazed one bit and you could see every time he had the ball there were no sign of nerves..he was fearless out there!

http://www.united.no/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Ben-Pearson.jpg
Pearson has been at United since the age of 9 and now looking to push on.

United are at the barebones right now in the midfield position, Herrera & Blind out injured, Carrick not yet fit enough so you would kinda question Adam Deverell's logic in continuing to play 3 in the middle but credit to him he chose to play 2 from the academy alongside Marouane and they worked well out there. Will they stay in the starting 11 when United have a fully fit squad? Probably not no but there's definately room for optimism with the fans that they have some very exciting kids coming through and again you have to praise the manager for bringing them through because he's taken alot of stick so far and i think it's about time to sit back and see what he's made of.

Van Persie Future In Doubt

Robin van Persie's future at Manchester United has been thrown into doubt.

The 31 year old former Arsenal star stands to land an additional £10 million in loyalty bonuses if he see's out his four-year contract at Old Trafford.

But indifferent form and concerns over his fitness have led United to enbark on a search for a replacement with Robert Lewandowski said to be high on Adam Deverell's wishlist. van Persie took his first season at United by storm securing United's 20th and his 1st premier league crown but last season saw a mix in form with injuries hampering his consistency in the side.

With the veteran yet to find the net so far this campaign his place at United is looking bleaker by the day and Adam Deverell could cash in on him in favor of a younger face.
