Season Over For Falcao

Manchester United fans have been rocked by the news Radamel Falcao will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn calf muscle in the 3-0 win over Leicester City yesterday.

http://unitedramble.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/falcao-injured-640x360.jpg
Is it time up for Falcao at Manchester United?

The Columbian had been in great form since his summer loan move from Monaco, scoring ten goals and assisting five more in just 16 appearances in all competition's but this latest injury is likely to see him play no further part in United's title charge. What many will be wondering now is what will this do for his long term plans at Old Trafford? Time will only tell but Adam Deverell still has slim hopes of him playing again this season.

"It's irritating for a manager to stand and watch a player who's done so well for us, to have his season possibly cut short because of a awful challenge. I could see as Gabriel (Obertan) came running towards the ball i knew one of them would come out with a bad injury and it's unfortunate for Radamel because he's a good professional and a great footballer. Was the red card for Obertan a fair one? I think so yes, it was rash, ill timed and has no place in the game!"
Extremely unlucky about Falcao! Looked like he was in great form :/

The Argentinian wizard grabs his 2nd POTM award with another great month of performances for us

Summary

Firstly it was great to see Ander Herrera return to action after so long out and hope he can now stay injury free. Our league form has been good and we have booked a 6th round meeting with Crystal Palace in the FA cup courtesy of more great performances from our younger generation. On a bad note Radamel Falcao may miss the rest of the season which will be a massive miss however i hope he gets fit again real soon because he's a top footballer. WIth 10 games remaining in the league and a cup to fight for its the crunch time of the season.
Really liking this story so far, even if it is United ;)

I love the player-to-manager interactions! Harry Kane would be a very interesting addition to your squad.

Pundits Verdict On The Run In

The Soccer Saturday panel were in full swing Saturday afternoon, with 10 games to go in the Barclays Premier League Matt Le Tissier, Paul Merson, Phil Thompson and Charlie Nicholas each made there predictions as to who would lift the league title along with the other three joining them in the Champions League.

I'm actually going to go with Manchester United. I think they were unlucky not to get the three points in the last ten minutes against Chelsea and if you look at there last ten matches they have the easier run in. Chelsea have been fantastic aswell but i just don't think they are as unbeatable as many are saying so yea i'm backing Adam Deverell for his 1st title with United.

Jose Mourinho have got Chelsea playing some amazing football this season. Diego Costa has been a revelation for them and they have been tight at the back. United are in a better position than i thought they would be if i'm honest and Adam Deverell should get alot of credit for how they've done but for me it's the blues who will be celebrating come May.

Champions: Chelsea
Top Four: Man United, Arsenal & Man City

It's been a fascinating race and will continue to be right up to the end of the season. Man City have let themselves down massively and are now in a fight for the top four, Arsenal and Spurs are much closer this year but don't have the strength in depth to challenge. For me i think Chelsea will pip United..just! Experience will come into play in the end and for Mourinho's men they have plenty of that.

Top Four: Man United, Arsenal & Tottenham

Manchester United for me have been abit lucky recently, Chelsea should of beat them a couple of weeks ago and West Ham played much better and had enough chances to win at Upton Park. Only one team for me has looked convincing enough to be champion's and that's Chelsea, they have improved massively since last season and i can only see them pulling away on the final stretch.

Deverell Slams Players Following Defeat

Manchester United manager Adam Deverell spoke to Geoff Shreeves after there 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park courtesy of Leighton Baines first half free kick and he has publicly challenged his team to find the bottle to handle the title run in.

With Chelsea falling 1-0 to Swansea yesterday the red devils had the chance to take advantage by retaining top spot however a lacklusture display saw them leave with nothing and Deverell says these kind of performances are not what Manchester United are all about.

To make matter's worse Angel Di Maria could join Radamel Falcao in missing the remainder of the campaign after suffering a broken ankle in a collision with Everton's Aaron Lennon.

"What can i say? It's not good enough from my team. We had a opportunity to take back top spot and we blew it so now it's back in there hands, we need to play much better in our next match because this level of performance is unacceptable. It's time for each and everyone of my players to stand up and be counted, last week against City we played fantastic football and came out comfortable winner's, this week we have taken a step back and that needs to change quickly!"

Sunday's result ends a run of 19 games without defeat for United
Unlucky with the defeat, but surely you can be proud of 19 games unbeaten?! ;)

Definitely was a great run, just a shame we cuden't take advantage of Chelsea's slip up :P Hopefully we'll get another opportunity though with 8 games remaining!

Carrick Extends United Stay

Manchester United have triggered a one year extension clause in Michael Carrick's contract which will see him stay on with the red devil's for at least another season. This will take Carrick into his 10th season at United, he has won five league title's, one champions league, one league cup, five community shield's and the club world cup since signing for the club in 2006.

Carrick came through the West Ham United youth squad and broke into the first team becoming a intregal part of the team. In the 2003/04 season they finished 4th in the First Division having to settle for the play offs where they lost out in the final to Crystal Palace and after Michael decided he cuden't play another season in the second tier he made the switch to Tottenham Hotspur for £3.5million pounds. He went on to make 64 appearances for the North London club before making the big switch to Old Trafford in 2006 in a deal worth around £14million pounds. Since then he has slowly become one of the more important players in the side and Adam Deverell will see his experience as "invaluable"

A real bargain getting this guy, a solid month with four apperances and a couple of goals as a bonus

Summary

A big month for us and i believe we done very well. A place in the semi-final of the FA cup is now booked after a struggle to get past a spirited Palace side and we remain hot on the heels of Chelsea after picking up two wins from three in the league. To completely control the games against both City and Spurs was particularly pleasing but our disappointment was missing a big opportunity to take top spot after Chelsea's slip up. April will see the continuation of the title race and the FA cup semi finals and we will be going right until the end!

United Book Place At Wembley

In the ever growing rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool, the next chapter had seen them contest an FA cup semi-final this afternoon in what was yet another fierce encounter between England's two most decorated teams.

Yet through a moment of magic from the captain himself, Wayne Rooney's 58th minute strike proved to be the difference between the sides and as a result see's the red devils book there place at Wembley once more to contest the final come the 30th May 2015. WIth an attendance of around 90000 packed in Britian's premier football stadium there came plenty of noise, all be it whether it was cheer's or boo's it was definitely a enjoyable end to end game of football.

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/03053/rooney-afp_3053819b.jpg

This result ensures that Liverpool have failed to beat Manchester United in any of there three meeting's this season, something which surely won't do Adam Deverell any harm with the Old Trafford faithful. Liverpool had there chances in the match but they saved there absolute biggest chance till the final seconds. Raheem Sterling who had run United ragged all afternoon scuffled clear of the defence to connect a perfect strike on goal only for United's no2 Victor Valdes to pull off an unbelievable save to deny the England winger and L'pool.

http://www.uclvideos.com/public/noidung/images/news/Premier-League/05-2015/V-ctor-Vald-s-010.jpg

So United now have the chance to lift there first FA cup in 11 years next month, the question now is who will be standing on the opposite side of the pitch come kick off..Newcastle United or Tottenham Hotspur? Whichever team that will be Adam Deverell will be determined to lift his first trophy as a manager at all costs. Game on!

MUTV Interviews: Pereira Exclusive

MUTV caught up with "the next big thing" Andreas Pereira to discuss his childhood, playing for Manchester United, Adam Deverell & more.

Growing up in Belgium football was never quite as big as it is here in England, the fans live and breathe the sport and it's amazing to be able to play my club football here. There was other offers from clubs in England for me before i left PSV but when you have a club the size of Manchester United wanting to sign you it's hard to turn away and i'm so glad i came, the fans are the best in the world and if you doubt me then just come spend an afternoon at Old Trafford on match day and you will see.

Both my parents are Brazilian, my father was a professional footballer who played for the Brazil national team so football was already in my blood. I played for the Belgium national team at U17 and U18 levels but i knew deep down my heart was Brazilian and i wanted to wear the famous yellow and green shirts. When i recieved my first Brazil call up of course i was filled with joy and for me i hope it's only the beginning.

I'm quite a quiet person away from football, i don't really like to go out instead i enjoy sitting infront of my fire place watching television. I'm a big WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) fan i make sure if i am not at home i record every show so i can watch it when i return. I also enjoy the darts, i was very pleased to see Kim Hybrechts compete in the Premier League of darts, i always enjoy watching his determination to win and passion on stage.

Adam Deverell has been very important in my development, he has seen something in me that's pleased him and now i'm playing in the first team and of course i am really grateful for that, i didn't feel i had the same faith shown in me from the previous boss. Scoring my first ever goal was a dream come true, the moment the ball hit the back of the net i was elated and i think i can be forgiven for over celebrating on that occasion. I want to repay the faith he has shown in me with consistent performances and right now i think i have been playing well. For me it's important to continue developing, i want to one day become to best player in the world and i know i can achieve that here.

A great month for our young Belgian, he's having a fantastic season!

Summary

A perfect month from my team and right at the business end of the season. An FA cup final to look forward to also means there is alot still to play for. Though the rest of our fixtures are favorable ones, were still waiting for Chelsea to slip up! I already have one eye on the summer and there will be alot of changes again, many out and new faces coming in so whatever happens it will be another busy summer for us at Manchester United
