Taylor-Crossdale Loaned Out to Gateshead

After only eleven appearances in all competitions for Wimbledon, De'Jaune Taylor-Crossdale has left one a one-month loan to go to Gateshead.

The two striker positions at the head of the tactics board for Dave Beasant's Wimbledon is a coveted position, with five main strikers all fighting for a place.

18-year-old Taylor-Crossdale has admitted defeat in that fight, and has left only on a one-month loan to go up north to link up with Malcolm Crosby's Gateshead in the Conference National.

The striker was snapped up by Beasant after becoming available on a free transfer following his release from Reading in the summer and made eleven appearances for The Dons, scoring three.

Malcolm Crosby has conceded that he would like to keep Taylor-Crossdale at The Tynesiders for a longer spell when the transfer window opens next month.

Although we only picked up six points as opposed to four points last month, I believe we have done a lot better in terms of playing standards. We made our way into the Third Round of the F.A. Cup and we will face quite a special opponent as you will find out as you scroll down, but we lost three games, which is hardly good - but we are in a stable position in the league so I can deal with that.

LEAGUE TABLE

From our six points we have moved up two places in the table into ninth place. The negative is that we have fallen further behind the playoff pack, from two points to four points now.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Jake Sinclair

The winger has been in excellent form recently and has stood out among a fairly average bunch of players, with a goal against Oxford United to cap off a good 2014.

NEXT MONTH: JANUARY

We start the month in quite spectacular fashion, as Manchester United travel to Kingsmeadow for a Third Round F.A. Cup tie against us. The fixture is already said to be close to selling out, with only a few hundred tickets left on sale for the first game of the New Year. Along with the Man United game, we play some tough fixtures in the league along the lines of Luton (4th) and Leyton Orient (7th).

Hope so mate! :)

Omar Rowe Points To Exit Door

AFC Wimbledon winger Omar Rowe has given Dave Beasant the signal that implies his departure from Kingsmeadow.

The former Southampton player has been limited in terms of appearances this season, with fourteen league appearances to his name in this League Two campaign.

The 20-year-old followed former teammate Jake Sinclair to The Dons in the summer, but things haven't worked out as expected, with Man City loanee Brandon Barker stealing the London-born players place on the left-wing.

Rowe has scored two goals in the league campaign, making only one assist to add to that - a poor showing for a player showing so much promise at the start of the season.

Rowe's contract runs out in 2017 and is currently earning £700 per week at Wimbledon's Kingsmeadow, but Dave Beasant may choose to be rid of the winger.

Taylor Leaves For Brentford

AFC Wimbledon star Lyle Taylor has today left the club for a record fee of around £800,000 for Championship outfit Brentford.

The striker was The Dons' top scorer so far this season, netting 12 goals in 20 appearances before his move away from Kingsmeadow.

Brentford's purchase of the 24-year-old made Taylor Wimbledon's highest fee received for a player, with Beasant's boys earning about £800,000 from the transfer, in contrast to their previous record sale of Chris Hussey to Coventry for £150,000 in 2010.

The young striker looks all set to take part in The Bees' next match in the Championship against Preston North End.

Taylor posted on his Twitter account upon official confirmation of the transfer: Delighted to announce myself as a @BrentfordFC player today. Great training session and can't wait for Saturday!

He later credited his former team for their part in his career: Also a big thank you to the people involved with @AFCWimbledon for all the help in the past 6 months!

Taylor was League Two's fifth top goalscorer with 11 goals in the league from 16 games.

Mooney Extends Stay At Kingsmeadow

AFC Wimbledon Fans' Favourite Paul Mooney has today confirmed that he will be staying at Kingsmeadow for a further two years.

The 22-year-old has become somewhat of a sensation around Kingsmeadow since his arrival from Evo-Stik Division One North side Northwich Victoria in the summer.

The midfielder initially signed on a two-year deal with The Dons in the summer until 2016, after signing on a free transfer due to his non-contract basis at Northwich.

But now the Liverpudlian has signed a two-year extension on his current deal at the club, with his contract now expiring in 2018 - earning £200 more as well.

In terms of transfer news surrounding Wimbledon, Dave Beasant is working on a deal for Wrexham left-back Sean Newton, who has won 11 Man of the Match awards this season, making 11 assists as well out of 26 starts.

Wantaway winger Omar Rowe has reportedly entered talks with Neil McDonald's Blackpool according to local Blackpool press, but confirmation is yet to come on that story.

Wimbledon Complete Newton Deal

AFC Wimbledon have paid out the biggest fee in their history to purchase Wrexham's Sean Newton for a fee of £55,000.

With Liverpool paying £31million for Harry Kane and Man City splashing out £15million for Ignacio Camacho, Wimbledon have paid out the biggest transfer fee in their 13-year existence for a 26-year-old left-back.

Following the sale of Lyle Taylor to Championship side Brentford, Dave Beasant has found himself in a lot more room to operate in the transfer market, as the fans chairman offered their manager a healthy sum of that sale.

Only Sean Newton has been confirmed for £55,000 - a massive step forward in Wimbledon's history, paying their largest fee since Byron Harrison from Stevenage for £35,000 in 2011.

The left-back from Wrexham has been one of - if not the best player in the Conference National this season, picking up eleven Man of the Match awards and eleven assists from 26 league games.

He topped the leaderboards for most assists and most Man of the Matches, which, for a left-back is quite some going.

Beasant may choose to venture further into the transfer market with his new sizeable budget, with Danny Whitehall from Prescot being among the names rumoured to be joining the club.

Blackpool's transfer of Wimbledon's Omar Rowe is 'almost complete' according to a close club official. The Tangerines will pay out a fee of just over £200,000 for the winger apparently.

Blackpool Finalise Rowe Switch

AFC Wimbledon will be going into their fixture with Luton Town without Omar Rowe, as he moves to Blackpool for a fee in the region of £275,000.

The winger, born in Hackney, has finally made his long-awaited move 250 miles up the M40 to link up with Neil McDonald's Blackpool in League One.

Rowe spent the first part of his youth development at West Ham United, but moved to Southampton at under-16 level where he has excelled.

But in the summer of 2014, Southampton came to the conclusion that the half-Jamaican winger wasn't fit for first-team requirements and followed Jake Sinclair to Kingsmeadow, where he played 18 times, scoring 2 goals and creating one.

Many Blackpool fans are questioning McDonald's judgement on the signing of Rowe - claiming the 49-year-old spent way too much on the youngster, a claim McDonald has denied, telling the fans to 'watch and learn' Rowe excel at Bloomfield Road.

Wimbledon Miss Out On Cup Upset

AFC Wimbledon can leave their heads held high after a top quality performance in today's F.A. Cup Third Round fixture against Manchester United.

It's almost twenty years ago since that David Beckham strike hovered over Neil Sullivan's misjudgment and flew into the Wimbledon F.C. net.

Since that day that club has dissolved, and Manchester United played the new AFC Wimbledon today - the Wimbledon created six years after that Beckham strike as Wimbledon F.C. became MK Dons.

But today, in front of a packed Kingsmeadow came an exceptional performance from The Wombles against the sheer power of Louis van Gaal's men.

The first 45 minutes was full of Red Devil dominance all over the park, Wimbledon couldn't see the ball past the commendable partnership of Jonny Evans and Marcos Rojo in the first half, and Ashley Young, Rooney and Hernández were constantly giving Wimbledon something to think about.

Ultimately, the away side had eleven more shots than the host, with the possession stat uneven with van Gaal's squad keeping 57% of the ball.

But the game opened up finally just seven minutes after the break, as Ashley Young let a well placed header go past the outstretching arm of Jak Alnwick in the 52nd minute.

What United didn't prepare for, though, was the instant comeback provoked by Lyle Taylor - now of Brentford. The young striker hounded Chris Smalling for the ball and got his result, getting to the byline before hammering a ball across the ground making an easy goal for Brandon Barker.

The game was tied for only seven minutes, though. Wayne Rooney spotted the run of the Mexican, who capped off the move with a thundering low strike past Alnwick.

The game was settled ten minutes after through a Wayne Rooney penalty - conceded by Karleigh Osborne. The lead was extended to 3-1 in the 72nd minute and didn't change from that point.

It was an energetic performance from Dave Beasant's men who never stopped pounding the Kingsmeadow turf with their constant running. A performance the former England keeper can be proud of.

It was yet another dreadful month for us in the league, as we conceded ten goals in five league games. During this month we managed to sink into our lowest league position of the season, dropping down into 17th after the loss to Carlisle United in the second part of the month. Although one positive at the start of the month is that I saw one of the best performances of the season from us against Manchester United - despite losing 3-1 to them.

LEAGUE TABLE

After yet another woeful month, we have now dropped six places further into 15th place. We are ten points away from the playoffs, and eleven points away from relegation - our season could go either ways or we can stay pretty much the same. It all relies on form.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Damian Reeves

Although the striker did not save us any points with his four goals this month, the effort the striker put himself through was unquestionable. He really loves being here and because of that, he has signed a new contract with us here at Kingsmeadow.

NEXT MONTH: FEBRUARY

I believe we have quite a decent month coming up for us, as we play bottom of the table Hartlepool, 19th placed Newport County and second bottom side Dagenham & Redbridge. Although we play Portsmouth who will be looking for a push into the playoff spots and Northampton Town in third place, looking to consolidate their automatic promotion spot.

On top of our record signing Sean Newton from Wrexham, we have paid out another £5,000 to sign a striker from Prescot, going by the name of Danny Whitehall. The 19-year-old was picked out by our scout Chris Kilby after the youngster scored 14 goals in 21 appearances for The Tigers development team. As part of the deal, Whitehall will be loaned back to finish the season at Prescot.

Ambrose Return Inspires Dons Victory

A return to action after four months out of the game for Thierry Ambrose has inspired Wimbledon to their second consecutive league win.

After a six game run without a win, it was Adebayo Azeez who plucked out a 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers' Memorial Stadium last weekend.

But now, with the return of striker Thierry Ambrose after four months with a torn calf muscle, the Frenchman on loan from Manchester City inspired The Dons to a 3-2 win over Newport County.

The striker played up front alongside Damian Reeves who has been an integral part of Wimbledon's season and assisted one of the former Altrincham players goals in the win at Kingsmeadow.

Karleigh Osborne opened the scoring with a header in the 23rd minute from a Paul Mooney corner. It was Damian Reeves, set up by Ambrose who doubled the scoring on 34 minutes.

Mark Byrne pulled one back for Newport, only for Reeves to smash home another goal, making it 3-1 in the 50th minute of the game.

A 63rd minute strike from Rene Howe turned out to just be a consolation goal as Dave Beasant's men moved up one place in the league after picking up the three points in this one.

Sinclair Ruled Out For Six Weeks

Just as the news of Thierry Ambrose's return to the pitch caught the local headlines, Jake Sinclair has to go out and ruin the injury freedom for Wimbledon.

The former Southampton winger broke down during play in Wimbledon's 3-2 win over Newport County.

After assessments took place today on the severity of Sinclair's injury, it appeared that the 20-year-old had sustained a damaged knee cartilage that pulled up during the victory.

The club's head physio Stuart Douglas advised manager Dave Beasant that the only course of action for such an injury is that the winger goes to a specialist.

It is likely that Sinclair will be out for 5 to 6 weeks whilst he is treated, with Brandon Barker possibly swapping wings and Sean Rigg filling in at left-wing instead.
