It was yet another dreadful month for us in the league, as we conceded ten goals in five league games. During this month we managed to sink into our lowest league position of the season, dropping down into 17th after the loss to Carlisle United in the second part of the month. Although one positive at the start of the month is that I saw one of the best performances of the season from us against Manchester United - despite losing 3-1 to them.

After yet another woeful month, we have now dropped six places further into 15th place. We are ten points away from the playoffs, and eleven points away from relegation - our season could go either ways or we can stay pretty much the same. It all relies on form.

Although the striker did not save us any points with his four goals this month, the effort the striker put himself through was unquestionable. He really loves being here and because of that, he has signed a new contract with us here at Kingsmeadow.

I believe we have quite a decent month coming up for us, as we play bottom of the table Hartlepool, 19th placed Newport County and second bottom side Dagenham & Redbridge. Although we play Portsmouth who will be looking for a push into the playoff spots and Northampton Town in third place, looking to consolidate their automatic promotion spot.
On top of our record signing Sean Newton from Wrexham, we have paid out another £5,000 to sign a striker from Prescot, going by the name of
Danny Whitehall. The 19-year-old was picked out by our scout Chris Kilby after the youngster scored 14 goals in 21 appearances for
The Tigers development team. As part of the deal, Whitehall will be loaned back to finish the season at Prescot.
