After a great run in the Capital One Cup for us, the adventure finally ended with a home defeat at the hands of AFC Bournemouth in the Third Round of the competition. Our youth graduate
Ryan Wearing opened his AFC Wimbledon scoring account with a brace against Accrington Stanley in a non-stop 4-4 draw at The Crown Ground. We finish the month in a sky-high 2nd place, one point behind Notts County, although they do have a game in hand on us now.

LEAGUE TABLE
It's hardly handy having played one more game than a large majority of the league, but standing in the automatic promotion spots, four points ahead of Portsmouth is a good start. We will lose some games to come, without a doubt, but maintaining a top three position is pivotal this season with such a good squad on my hands.
PLAYER OF THE MONTH
DANIEL AKINDAYINI
When I signed up the three trialists from Spurs, Chelsea and Man City, little did I know that one of them will go onto play this well. Daniel Akindayini scored three goals this month, but his performances stood out more than his goal tally. The 19-year-old's physical presence on the wing and up-front is now becoming one of the most feared forces in League Two this season, with the former Spurs player standing at 6'2" Akindayini bullies defenders and converts them into goals so far.
NEXT MONTH: OCTOBER
The upcoming month of October doesn't seem to intimidating besides the fixture against 4th placed Portsmouth midway through the month. Most of the other teams are either midtable or lower half, which is always a good thing.
