Almere City 1.04 - October 2014
Matches
Almere City 1 - 1 Achilles'29
The ref had a lot of influence over the course as the match as first he gave Achilles'29 player Daniel van Straaten a red card for a bad tackle, and then awarded them a penalty when Jason Oost committed a foul in the box. Despite being in control and having an extra player, we were playing from behind much of the match, and only got a point from Fabian Serrarens's goal.
Almere City 1 - 0 Sparta
Sparta were incredibly scattershot and if they had better finishing they could've scored some goals. Anil Bayram Gulner took his chance well, though, and scored the only goal of the match.
RKC Waalwijk 2 - 0 Almere City
Waalwijk played like they were the top team in the league, and Arsenio Valpoort's crossing game proved too strong as he assisted Rodney Antwi on two early goals. Waalwijk comprehensively outplayed us, preventing us from getting many good chances on goal.
NEC 2 - 3 Almere City
Rogier Meijer was both goat and hero in a wide open game, he scored an own goal which equalized things at 2-2, but then scored a classic deep-lying playmaker goal to win it for us, cutting through the muck from the top of the penalty box.
KNVB Beker 3rd Round
ADO Den Haag 4 - 0 Almere City
The gulf between the two clubs was evident as ADO Den Haag, led by Ewandro's brace, completely turned us out.

9th, although we have a game in hand. If there's one thing that needs to be improved on it's goalscoring. If our defense breaks down our attack can't be relied on to keep up.
