Great pre-season! Motta was a surprise signing...
I guess he will be used for smaller opponents

Dennis Wise had his campaign debut as Chelsea manager in the Community Shield competition against rivals Arsenal. It was a dissapointing start to the campaign with Chelsea getting thrashed by Arsenal with the score 3-1 to Arsenal. This was not the ideal start for Dennis Wise and his Blue boys. Chelsea never looked liked the team that had won the PL title 2 months ago.

Arsenal 3 - 1 Chelsea
Oscar (59)
Theo Walcott - 2 goals

Thanx, and yeah it was a very satisfying pre season. Lets c how motta progresses

A devastating start for Chelsea

Arsenal wins FA Community Shield 2015 in style by beating Chelsea 3-1

Chelsea faced Arsenal for the community shield but were run-ragged by Walcott and his team-mates.
It was the not the start Dennis Wise and his boys hoped for. Chelsea and Arsenal were equal on paper but everybody thought that Chelsea would be the winners but the outcome denied the predictions.

Arsenal dominated the premier league Champions like never before. Just 5 mins gone, Theo Walcott struck the chords with a beautiful finish and Arsenal were already up by one goal to nil. It all looked like Chelsea were never ready to begin with. Soon, Chelsea faced another bitter blow when once again Walcott scored with a sublime finish to make it 2-0 just before half time.

Chelsea were already down and out and it all looked done and dusted. It was Oscar who provided some air for Chelsea to breathe when he scored with a tap in. It looked like Chelsea might come back but out came Sanchez to burst the bubble and scored the winner to make the score 3-1.

The Chelsea defense was cracked in half by Walcott and Sanchez and there was no way of returning.

Ex-chelsea player Petr Cech even denied a fabulous chance and it was confirmed that Chelsea are about to face a huge nightmare at the hands of Arsenal.

Wenger and his boys deserved the victory and it was a moment to witness as Arsenal not only defeated Chelsea but destroyed them.

Wise was utterly disappointed said in his post-match conference "We were very bad out there. I never expected this to happen. The defense was out of place and the strikers did not produce any effort."
A huge blow for me. Not the start I expected, honestly.

A great month for Dennis Wise and his Blue boys, who start the season in a brilliant manner winning every single one of their first 3 games, as well as scoring 9 goals and conceding none in 3 matches. It clearly looked like a new sense of determination is risen in the hearts of Chelsea due to their humiliating defeat at the hands of Arsenal in Community Shield.

Chelsea 2 - 0 Swansea City
Willian (31)
Oscar (59)
Bournemouth 0 - 3 Chelsea
Costa (10, 11, 45+1)
Chelsea 4 - 0 Leicester City
Azpilicueta (15)
Juan Cuadrado (18)
Eden Hazard (pen 60, 88)

Chelsea Player of the Month

John Terry

John Terry had a fantabulous start to his 2015/16 campaign. Chelsea did not concede any goal in three matches and Terry was a very important reason for that. He showed huge amount of determination and denied a lot of chances for the opposition to create goals or to score any. Maybe the loss to Arsenal in the Community Shield sparked a new fire in Chelsea and Captain Wonderful.

Manager's Thoughts

It's always good to start on the right track and we've done it with three very impressive wins, and keeping three clean sheets also which is always something to be pleased about. Aside from Terry, I feel that the front four of hazard, Willian, Cuadrado and Costa were very exciting to watch all month. They play brilliantly together and have already forged a strong understanding. Costa scoring his second ever chelsea hat-trick was a moment to cherish. Hopefully we can continue on with this form, as there's a lot more matches to come in September, including games with Manchester City in premier league and two champions league matches

Champions League: Group F

Chelsea have been placed into Group F of the Champions League this season and have been given a relatively competitive group. They will have PSG, Sevilla and Wolfsburg to compete with for top spot.
ouch, group of death.. great start to the pl season with 9 goals scored and 3 cleansheets

Dennis Wise has decided to take part in the transfer Deadline day. Chelsea have made their mind to snatch Stones and there is another target coming their way.
It now or never.

Chelsea completed the signing of John Stones from Everton on the Deadline Day for a record fee of £40m.

Stones was on the Chelsea radar since the start of this window but Everton was very reluctant to let Stones go. Dennis Wise made it very clear that Chelsea will do whatever they can to wrap-up the deal as soon as possible. Though, it took the last day of the transfer window but the deal was done at a humongous price of £40m. This deal makes Stones one of the world's most expensive Central Defenders and the costliest defender of England.

Stones was very happy to sign for Chelsea and said in his press-conference that he is honored to be a part of a team of such esteem. He bids farewell to his old club and belives that he can take Chelsea to newer heights and is very excited to start a whole new chapter in his career.

Another surprising deal that Chelsea made was the signing of PSG's left Back Lucas Digne. Digne signed for chelsea for £9m. Whether this was a panic buy or a thoughtful one, time will tell. Lucas Digne has immediately been loaned back to PSG as Wise thought that it would be appropriate to let Digne complete his regime at PSG and then come back to Chelsea.
2015-08-16 21:22#218666 Jer : ouch, group of death.. great start to the pl season with 9 goals scored and 3 cleansheets

Jer: It certainly is a group of death but I have utmost confidence that Chelsea will overcome. I was amazed at the results too. After going through a disasterous week after the loss to Arsenal, i did not hope that Chelsea would play like this.

I did make some tweeks in the tactics though, :P

Well, Chelsea had a little less exciting month than the last time. Once again scoring 9 goals but also conceding 4 goals. Overall, there were some mishaps against West Ham and Man City. Chelsea did well against Wolfsburg and Sevilla in Europe but at home faced their first league loss at the hands of Manchester City. There were some negetives to take from this month but overall looked like a decent continuation.

Premier League
West Ham 1 - 1 Chelsea
Costa (90)

Champions League
Wolfsburg 0 - 3 Chelsea
Falcao (16)
John Terry (58)
Falcao (pen 80)

Premier League
Chelsea 0 - 2 Manchester City

Capital One Cup
Chelsea 1 - 1 Hull City (wins on pen. shootout)
Chalobah (85)

Premier League
Sunderland 0 - 3 Chelsea
Willian (2)
Coates (9)
Kaboul (25)

Champions League
Chelsea 1 - 0 Sevilla
Falcao (50)

Dennis Wise recently sat down with football365 to answer some of the questions about the squad, first team details and his adaptibilty to Stamford Bridge.

Here are some key questions:

Q: Its been 3 months since your appointment as the Manager of Chelsea. How do you feel?
Wise: Thank You for inviting me. Yes, it has been a wonderful start for me here at the Bridge. The backroom staffs are great. The players have accepted me as their boss. It was always hard to fill the shoes of Mr. Mourinho but the squad and the Board helped me a lot to settle. But yeah, it has been a great journey.

Q: How is your releationship with Mr. Roman Abramovich?
Wise: I have a decent professional relationship with Abramovich. He is one of the finest persons to have a business conversation. He actually cares about the club. Not like other owners who just splash the cash and never even care to see what happens to the money. Abramovich and I had a very long discussion before my joining. He made it very clear that Chelsea should defend the title or atleast give their 100% effort. Mr. Ambramovich and I have a good forward thinking relationship.

Q: What is your view on the instability in Managerial Positions with Chelsea?
Wise: it might not be a question for me to answer. Ofcourse I have views but I don’t think it’s the right time for me to share those with you. I have been blessed with the Head Coach role at Chelsea and my only view right now is to how to take Chelsea to newer heights.

Q: What about the squad? Are you happy with the squad right now?
Wise: Yes, I am very happy with the squad. We have a very strong squad assembled together to get Chelsea to newer heights. There were some open spaces in the defensive areas and that’s why I signed John Stones and Lucas Digne. We have kepted a lot of clean sheets as well as getting our boots running with the strike force. Overall, this is the best squad that I have ever witnessed. Even better than the squad I was a part of.

Q: You had your first ever loss as Chelsea Manager at the hands of Manchester City. Will this loss affect your chances, seeing that the team which defeated you is your title rival.?
Wise: Right now every team is a rival for us. Every team is fresh and fired up. Of course, it was a bitter loss at the hands of City but we have sinced picked us up and marched on. I never expected us to be unbeatable but I have said it before and even now again that Chelsea might be the only team right now in Premier League that can actually defend their titles.

Q: You tried to offload Mikel but at the end of the window, we still saw Mikel in Chelsea’s shirt. What actually happened? Did you change your mind?
Wise: Mikel is a wonderful player and long serving player for Chelsea. He is a legend for Chelsea fans. He might not have scored a lot but has always been an integral part of the squad. But right now, the phase Chelsea has entered, I don’t see Mikel to be a part of this journey. Yes, I tried to get Mikel a better team where he could continue his journey but then he got injured in the training sessions and many bids were cancelled due to that. So I decided to keep Mikel as he had a lot of experience and at times can be very important in a match. He might leave in January but for the time being, he is a part of the squad.
Mikel to leave Chelsea in January transfer window

Q; Last Question Dennis, are you satisfied with the champions League group Chelsea are pooled in?
Wise: Well, ofcourse I am not happy with the group. Its one of the hardest group with deal with. But we were ready. We already had two matches and fortunately won both the matches away as well as on home. We have to face PSG and I believe its going to be a tough match. But we had good amount of rest and trainings and I believe we are all set to qualify for the Knockout Stage. Thank You.

Radamel Falcao had a great month. Though he did not score any goals in Premier League but destroyed the two oppositions Wolfsburg and Sevilla in Europe, scoring 3 goals and 1 asssist. Played brilliantly against Sunderland coming on the pitch at 65 mins. His continuous fight for the ball and 6 shots within 18m was a performance to remember.

It's really disappointing to face our first defeat against Manchester City and gaining a stalemate against West Ham as I felt we deserved at three points from the way we played against West Ham. Costa was magnificent and powerful finish against West Ham really blew me away. Falcao as I said earlier, impressed me the most this month. He looks more and more dangerouos and I am very glad to see that. Although a calm month for us Premier League-wise with one draw, one loss and one win, we've started fabulously in the Champions League with 2 wins in 2 games. I was expecting more of a challenge from Wolfsburg, but I'm not going to complain. Hopefully we'll finish top in our group, which is something that's looking more and more likely to happen with every match.
