Lupa Roma Hire Billionaire's Son
26/06/2015
In a move that shocked every single Lupa Roma fan, chairman Alberto Cerrai today publicly unveiled the club's new manager, Antonio Benvenuti. At the age of 27, Benvenuti brought no previous management experience to the table but Cerrai deemed him as the rightful successor to former manager Alessandro Cucciari, who had left in mysterious circumstances.
Antonio Benvenuti was born in Rome itself on 11/03/1988, as the son of successful entrepreneur Silvio Benvenuti and famous actress Lucrezia Belardini. Having never played football at any serious level, Antonio learned the game from one of the many directors' boxes he owns in various stadia across Italy and Europe. He earned his coaching license earlier this year, and had been looking to make his first step in football management since.
Despite having had a number of more qualified, and certainly more experienced, managers interested in the job, Alberto Cerrai decided that Antonio Benvenuti would be ideal for the job, and described him as a very confident and wise tactician. Cerrai revealed that Benvenuti's desire to to succeed was a pulling factor, and his proposed tactical philosophies were remarkably impressive.
The young Roman signed a one year contract on a suspected wage of just over €2,000. Benvenuti was happy to sign for Lupa Roma and saw it as a stepping stone for future glory in the game.
Antonio Benvenuti:
"I am proud to have received my first opportunity in football management. Lupa Roma is one of the lesser clubs in my local city, Rome, but certainly a proud one. I dream of becoming the the greatest football manager in history, overtaking Sir Alex Ferguson and his prestigious company, and becoming the face of football. Lupa Roma can be a fantastic stepping stone for me to reach my long-term goals, and I will look to be very successful at this club. I have a very clear idea of how I want to shape this club, and I will set out to achieve my objectives immediately. I'm a born winner and I am confident in my ability. Alberto Cerrai will be more than thankful for my services once I have achieved what I have planned here."
