Good to see him back, he's a vital player!
I can imagine Baines returning might offer some assistance... haha
That's a big gain in the full-back department, hopefully his return can push you on further!

It's a massive plus to have him back. He's one of the best attacking fullbacks in the Premier League

Celtic return for McGeady

Last Updated: 2nd January 2016

http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n549/JohnWarrington/JohnWarrington022/mcgeady_zpsmcicdq1g.png

Republic of Ireland international midfielder Aiden McGeady has completed a return to Celtic after the welsh club and Everton agreed a fee of 2.2 million pounds for the transfer.

McGeady has signed a three year deal at the Scottish club and after two years with Everton, McGeady believes the time was right for a new challenge.

"I felt like a change could give me a boost. I had a great time at Everton, I was there for 2 years. Of course there were ups and there was downs, but that is all part of life. After coming off a difficult season I just thought it would be good for me to try and move on from that. Sometimes being at one place can make you take things for granted and feel too comfortable. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and see how it goes, if not you will always wonder what might have been."

McGeady played a total of 33 games for Everton but admits he would have liked to have had a bigger impact.

"The only thing that disappoints me is not making more of a mark there and showing people the real me on a more consistent basis but I'm blessed to have experienced some great times there and for that I am grateful."

The blues have been dealt a huge blow today after it was revealed that Ivorian striker Arouna Kone will miss 6-7 weeks of action with a stress fracture in his back.

32 year old Ivorian striker Kone has been in and out of the Everton squad after making a move from Wigan during the summer of 2013, and has played in 11 Barclays Premier League games this season. Unfortunately for the striker, he will miss up to 6 weeks of match action after suffering a stress fracture in his lower back.

In an interview, Everton manager Duncan Ferguson spoke about the loss of Kone and how it would effect his team.

"Obviously it is a big blow for us to lose Arouna for such a long period of time. Especially at this crucial stage of the season. Earlier, I stated our need to sign a striker and that's now increased even more following the news of Arouna's injury. I hope to bring someone in sooner rather than later."
