V 1.11 won't run

this is getting quite frustrating and hopefully you understand. eugene must know (giving this website) that his program is extremely, EXTREMELY popular. i understand that he has a life and a family outside of genie scout. but knowing this, and knowing how popular his program is to the thousands of players that use it, wouldn't you think that with such popular demand he would delegate some of the work required to update GS in a reasonable amount of time? And by reasonable, I mean a week max of FM updating? That seems like a logical thing to do. But if eugene is not going to make the program open or whatever, and get help in updating (don't know the programming terminology for this) he might as well just make it completely private, ie: pay only, because that version is the only version that seems to be working right now. In that that sense, he has an obligation to get a fully working version of GS out within a reasonable amount of time (that one week window after FM updates), to the paying customers that pay him to use his program.

seriously stam, if youre going to say im wrong, then you are obviously ignorant to the thoughts and feelings to the visitors of this website. its been a month and a half. doesn't it seem a little suspicious that by now, that after a month and a half of the latest FM update, the only fully working version of GS is the one you have to pay for, with absolutely zero updates of when an updated, FULLY WORKING, "free" version of GS will be coming out?

ive been patiently waiting since i updated my FM back in early march. but by now this is getting a little rediculous

so getting back to your original reply to me: no. by "anything???" i meant what should i do if i dont have an extra computer to check to see my unique ID so i can pay eugene to get a working version of GS. and for someone who speaks of behalf of eugene, you should stop the whole "quit crying and wait patiently" routine to every one of us that ask when an update is going to come, when we ALL of us, who make this website run, are thinking what im saying right now. ok mate?

and let me add, genie scout is an absolutely fantastic program and eugene deserves all the credit he gets for it, but a majority of the people here are just extraordinarily disappointed in this whole process of getting a working version of GS for the latest FM update...

I guess we should be grateful he returned from retirement after he closed down his own site and decided to continue producing his application through this site. Working for free should give you the right to delay a version release as much as you need.

Free version works fine for most people. And regarding the pay-only version, it seems it works better with save game loading errors and not freezing/crashing on start up. Besides, I'm not the one to say what he should or shouldn't do; it's his application.

If you've been around for some time now, you would have known that at least I try my best to help however I can with any problems that arise and providing updates even if there is none available. So please, let me be ignorant to all those people who doubt me and the rest of the site staff.

There was no promise or announced release date for a 10.3 compatible version. And when b115 was out with one major bug, I did everything possible to get a fixed version within 3 days. Hell, there was no promise there would be GS for FM2010 in the first place. If you have a problem with that, email Eugene himself and let us know what he says to you.

And what exactly do you suggest I should do? Remain silent and ignore the posts? Would it make you feel better? Alright then, no more replies from me on the topic until I have something good to announce.

If you don't like how we do things around here, you should have valid grounds to complain and suggest a better way. Finally, let me add that if GS was working for you, you wouldn't even bother creating an account to say thanks; and this goes for the majority of visitors here. No matter how frustrated, disappointed or angry you get... you will eventually check back for a new version, if it's ever going to be released.

Do you have any friends? Do they have a computer? If so try then to ask them if you could borrow there computer for like 5min to get the code and then go in to GS site and donate. You will then receive a link to download GS 1.11 NO ADS.

When you have downloade GS and loade your games then you will get a list of no-players. Take a SS of it and sent it back to Eugene´s mail with a littel explanation like this :

Hi.

I have just donated a few dollers to you. When i load my game in GS i have only NO-players in it. (Add SS of the issue and the new id number you have)

Eugene will then sent you a new key so you can load your games again.

Hi stam sadly genie scout doesn't load for me either, im waiting paitently for a new version if there will be one i appreciate all the work eugene puts in for genie scout and you for running this site.
