Chalk up another one with "issues" here, Stam. Same problem as all in this thread, simple "FM Genie Scout has stopped working" etc. I'm on Vista, fully updated with literally every update I can possibly update this updated computer with. Do we know if Eugene's intending to look at this or leave things as they are?

hope you've made sure that Stam has gotten info that it won't run at all on a fully updated XP, this problem has been mention by not just me but a number of people.
You can add my name to the list. I'm running a fully updated version of Windows Vista. I'll really let down if I don't get a working copy, as I've donated.
i'm just curious. you've all installed correct version of .net framework? as i seem to recall it's needed to use the program, and it's not included in windows by default.
it shouldn't need the .net framework to work mate. this is something needed by fmrte, mini scout and fmassistant.
Its got nothing to do with the windows update if your sexy Genie 2010 v1.1111 is not starting after double click. I got a laptop with windows 7 not connected to the internet and a computer connected, and on the laptop Eugenie 2010 is working fine and on the computer with all the shit you can update for windows 7 and java its not working at all.

Mine's still the same. Click on the .exe file and nothing happens at all. Tried updating windows and Java, still the same. (XP SP3).
just a guess...try disabling firewall,seems to me like your OS is blocking the app for some reason,maybe something to do with baners... again,it's just a guess...latest version works perfectly on my XP SP3

is that XP Home with SP3 or XP Pro with SP3?

just for the protocol i am using XP SP3 and GE is not welling to run..
