Horrific result against Benfica, you certainly didn't need that. They certainly have your number at the moment - beating you in the cup final too. Hopefully you can go on and win the Taca de Portugal considering they're out.

DAMN Origi and DAMN Benfica!

Another tough month in the league and it's our worst season so far. After our first two wins we played better than Maritimo but didn't get the win, just like against Aves. Against Braga we were not there from the start and after going down 2-0 we couldn't come back.


We are now 8 points behind Benfica and it looks like we'll have to give back the title to Lisbon this season. We still have to be concentrated in the league though to secure a Champions League spot.


In the Champions League we played next to a perfect game against Manchester City. We were all over them but couldn't get a goal. Sane gave the Citizens the lead early in the second half and three shots in the post were the closest we could get. We now have to score two goals and win in Manchester, but nothing is impossible for this team.

Once again, it seems like things are turning around and then something goes wrong. It seems the title is heading to Benfica, which is a real shame.

Losing at home to City isn't ideal, but who knows what can happen in the away leg - a one goal margin certainly hasn't ruled you out just yet.

One step forward and two steps back, the battle for consistency looks to have proven itself a difficult one. Still plenty to play for, just take it one game at a time!

The stuttering form is proving to be the downfall and that gap at the top is starting to get larger and larger! Hopefully it doesnt go to far and you still have a small chance of pulling it back!

A bad month in the league but we've already given up on the title.


Benfica have been extremely good this year, or maybe we've been extremely terrible. Anyway we have the Champions League spot to fight for and we are just six points ahead of Maritimo.


After playing a fantastic game at home I had some hopes to turn around the 1-0 deficit from the first league.
However we got of to a terrible start and after being 3-0 down at halftime we knew it was over. To be knocked out in the round of 16 is a disappointment considering we were close to the final last year, but Man City is a really good team.


The semifinal of the Portuguese cup is played over two legs and we started of at home against Moreirense. This is our only chance to win a title this season and we didn't joke around. We were 3-0 up after just 24 minutes and there were no way back for our opponents. With a 4-0 win we have taken a big step towards the final.

Now the league campaign is all but done, it's important that the Taca de Portugal is won. The Champions League defeat to City is a major blow. Hopefully you can repair a somewhat poor season, given your record so far.

A shame that this month brought an end to the league campaign and the European campaign, despite a somewhat promising first-leg against Man City. A piece of silverware seems vital at this stage, and the Taca de Portugal is all yours to take hold of.

A perfect month in the league and the first that we win all our games this season. Sousa scored two more goals and has now managed to score 7 goals and record 3 assists in 12 games as a midfielder. The guy is just 17.


With those wins we pretty much secured the second place meaning that we will play in the Champions League again next season. The top five in the table is clear and it will probably finish as it stands.


We had 4-0 with us from the first leg and after scoring two goals in 18 minutes away from home, we knew it was over. Moreirense still managed to come back in this game to make the aggregate score 6-2 in our favor. We couldn't have asked for an easier way to the final, from start to finish. Now we just have to beat Sporting in what will be the last game and last chance for a title this season.

A much better month overall, sealed with a place in the Taca de Portugal final. Sousa looks an exciting prospect given his impressive performances. Hopefully you can secure a piece of silverware and continue to see out the season to seal a Champions League place.

Atleast the side has begun to perform in the league again with this months results. Unfortunate result against City just a step to much for you at the moment. The graphics impressive as always!

A crazy month with a lot of goals which ended in an unlucky lose against Benfica. Pedro scored five goals which made him the top goalscorer of the Liga NOS in his first full season. What's more impressive is that he did it even though he started just 19 games.



The table didn't change since last month and the top 5 looks exactly the same. What's interesting is that Maritimo lost at home to Madeira in the 33rd round, a win there would have taken them to the Champions League. We scored the most goals in the league again but conceded 17 more than Benfica who won the league easily.


After losing both the Supercup and League cup final on penalties I really wanted to take home the Portuguese cup which is the biggest domestic tournament except for the league.
The game turned out to be a very easy one for us. We won the shots by 31-4 and were all over them the whole game. Marega gave us the lead early and with Pedro's goal just before the halftime Sporting couldn't get back.
It's good that we won at least one title and we still haven't had a trophyless season since I came here.

Second place is still a respectable finish. Benfica appeared to have an incredile season. In terms of scoring goals, your team more than matches them. Just need to stop the goals leaking in at the other end and it's all good! Congrats on the cup final win too!

Benfica certainly took advantage of your short-comings this season. Lifting the Taca de Portugal is extremely important, personally. Now it's all about ensuring you can recover and seek to regain the title after a disappointing domestic campaign in the league.
