Get in! Another Merseyside derby at Anfield and another win to pile the pressure on Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

10th March

Pietro Simoni out for 4-5 weeks with a calf strain

Absolutely devasted. We won't be doing an invincibles season. We actually played well at United, scoring four but we were let down by Manuel Gasparini in goal who quite frankly had an absolute shocker.

15th March

We got our annual youth intake in but there was no one with any real potential

A 3-1 win over Lyon at Goodison Park means we've booked our place in the next round of the Champions League. We're still on to win every possible trophy.

19th March

Everton to play Porto in the Champions League Quarter-Finals with the winners playing either Man United or Real Madrid

We go into the FA Cup semi-finals with a routine win over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park. The result never looked in doubt after Vasco Barbosa had given us the lead with twenty minutes on the clock.

Not a good game for the heart this one. I thought we were well on our way to victory at 2-0 but we let them back into the game. Thankfully, Wallim popped up with 20 minutes to go to complete his hat-trick and give us the win.

Absolutely quality! A hat-trick from Wallim means we have a big lead going into the second leg in Portugal. Wallim has been on fire this season, what a signing.

A bit of a disappointing result at home but I won't lose any sleep over it, as long as it's a one-off result!

After winning 4-0 at Goodison Park, I decided to play the fringe players for the return leg, knowing that they wouldn't lose by four. They did lose but 2-0 wasn't enough for Porto.

We left it late but goals from Pedro Scow and Nahuel Pascutti put us into the FA Cup final. The treble dream is still very much alive!

Wallim aka the goal machine saw that this game was over inside eight minutes, completing his hat-trick. From there it was plain sailing to all three points.

A win away at Norwich to put us on the brink of retaining our title. I'm not happy with having two men sent off but the main thing was getting the three points.

It's obviously disappointing to lose, especially at home but I gave the main first-team guys a rest so it was to be expected against Chelsea, who are 3rd in the league.

Job done. We cruised into the Champions League final with a 4-1 win over Manchester United at Goodison Park. A date with Atletico Madrid in Paris awaits.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! Yes, it 's been pretty much nailed on since February but it's still nice to finally do it mathematically.

Despite the scoreline only being 1-0, we were never in any danger of not winning the game. Bristol City offered nothing really and it was a walk in the park for us.

I decided to rest the big guns for the last game of the league season. I felt like a rest would do them good before our two massive finals. The fringe players didn't let me down, easing to a 2-0 win over Newcastle at Goodison Park.

GET IN! TREBLE WINNERS! EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS! What a game, I don't think I've got any nails left. I thought we were going to blow it when we went a goal down but we battled back to lead, then Patrick Crooks got sent off. After that was perhaps the longest ten minutes of my life before we sealed it with the last kick of the game. I couldn't be happier right now.

What's next?



This will come as a massive surprise to many but I've decided that now is the right time to step back and take a break from football. I've loved my time at Everton and I want to end it on the highest high as possible and winning the treble will never be topped.



The board obviously wanted me to stay but my mind was made up. I plan to take a break over the course of the 2027/28 season, unless a job that really excites me happens to come up.

What a tenure with Everton!! Achieved everything possible in such a short space of time. Excited to see what happens next..

A beautiful way to conclude your reign at Everton. A fantastic comeback to complete the treble summarises the winning mentality that was distilled in the squad. Looking forward to where you go next.

A couple of your early signings with Warrington are players I had with Darlington too, like Tom Heardman and Fidel O'Rourke but when I got them they were both back ups so never done much. Those manager of the month and year awards certainly piled up with Warrington en route to the Championship. Great achievement with those successive promotions on such a low budget.

Interesting that you left Warrington for Everton when you were so close to the 'bottom to the top' achievement, if that's still a thing.

Well you've only went and topped it all off with Everton haven't you!? Great couple of seasons there culminating in fantastic success. Wallim looked a fantastic player and unplayable at times. I'm not surprised to see you step down from Everton as I reckon you need more of a challenge now. Wonder if Warrington are looking for a new manager yet?

Going Home!!



When I resigned, I said that I was taking a break unless a job came along that filled me with excitement. Other than the Tranmere job, there is no other job that fills me with excitement more than returning to Warrington Town. It feels like I'm finally home.



I said it at the time but I'm absolutely honoured that they named their new stadium after me. It's going to be a dream come true to manage Warrington for the first time in the John Warrington Stadium.



The facilities at the club are a lot better than when I left which is no surprise as they were in the process of renovations when I left. Hopefully, the board will continue to improve them.



Warrington currently sit at the bottom of the Championship table having been promoted back to the Championship at the first attempt last season under Tony Mowbray. That said, the league is quite tight so a couple of good results would see us slowly climb up the table and towards where I want us to be.



Here's the reason why Warrington have been struggling so much this season. They've been playing a flat 3-5-2 under Tony Mowbray. I can tell you now that they will not be playing that under my leadership, instead, it'll be a 5-4-1 with wingbacks with 4-4-2 as a backup system.
