Huge blow in losing Heardman, but hopefully new signings like Cameron Archer, Fidel O'Rourke and Dylan Parker can put up the mantle left behind.
1
A big season ahead, and the youth in the squad will play a big role in any success. Good Luck.

Interested to know what club Heardman ends up at? Will you play against him this season?

He went to Dagenham & Redbridge in the end

Warrington Town 1 - Quirk (67)
Line-Up - Allen, Hosie (Anderson 81), Taylor, Corke, Kellett, Garrity, Harris, Quirk, Wilson (Pemberton 58), Archer (Gray 71), O'Rourke.
Unused Substitutes - Speiss, Blackshaw.
Man of the Match - A. Dudley (Farsley)

With seven new faces starting, I wasn't really expecting much from our opener away at Farsley. They took a deserved lead but we battled back in the second half to get a point, which I'm more than happy with. The match stats suggest there is more to come from this side.

Sunday 9th August

The club announces that the final figure for season ticket sales is 149, up from 135 last season.

Tuesday 11th August

James Gray has been kicking off over the signing of Dylan Parker, to the point where we've fallen out and he's put in a transfer request. Crusaders have put in a bid of 7.25k which I've accepted.

Wednesday 12th August
Vanarama National League North Matchday #2
Cantilever Park
Warrington Town 6 - Wilson (2,7,87), Quirk (16), Archer (29), Pemberton (78)
Stratford 1 - Raw (86)

What a performance! That was one of the best performances we've had during my time as Warrington boss. To call it dominant would be an understatement. If we have more performances like that then we'll definitely be battling at the right end of the table.

Wednesday 12th August

We've had one bit of bad news coming out of the game against Stratford, Andy Kellett has been ruled out for 4-5 weeks with pulled knee ligaments.

Friday 14th August

James Gray joins Crusaders for a fee of 7.25k

A fantastic performance away from home and a deserved win. The penalty early gave us confidence and we never looked back. I was especially impressed with Ben Garrity and Callum Harris who put in a good shift in the centre of midfield.

Two home games, twelve goals! I could get used to this. Every single player on that pitch tonight was superb and long may it continue!

It's amazing football sometimes. For 49 minutes we were crap and I mean crap. We could have no complaints when we went behind but that goal seemed to flick a switch on for us. From then we dominated, including equalising instantly. Crazy.

Fidel O'Rourke is just on another level, a perfect hat-trick for him as keep up our stunning home form. That's 17 goals in three home games now with Archer, O'Rourke and Quirk really standing out so far this season.

Yet again it's Fidel and Cameron. Those two have lit up the National League North so far and it's a joy to watch.

Awards

Absolutely delighted to win my first ever Manager of the Month award, partly due to the lack of awards in the Evo-Stik. Credit has to go the players though.

Has there ever been a more deserved Player of the Month award? Fidel has been like a man possessed so far this season!

League Table

We finish the opening month of the season at the top of the table, mostly thanks to our two beasts up front. Whether we can stay there remains to be seen but why not? Got to dream big.

Next Month's Fixtures

Boy do the games come thick and fast in this league compared to the Evo-Stik. It has the potential to be a tricky month with us playing three of the top 7. I think how we do next month will be a gauge of where we'll finish this season.
An absolutely stunning set of results there, flattening pretty much every team without fault! Not to mention the unreal amount of goals leading to the great goal difference there.
1
Incredible set of results, goals galore! Fidel O'Rourke has adjusted to life under your management excellently, you couldn't ask for much more. I really rate the late additions to the side in Elliott Hewitt and Mark Beck, especially the latter who adds a different dynamic to the side with his physical presence and experience. Congratulations on an excellent start which has rightfully been recognised. Next month is extremely busy, wow. Peak Non-League that! ;)

Wednesday 2nd September
Vanarama National League North Matchday #8
Meadow Park
Boreham Wood 1 - Clarke (90+2)
Warrington Town 2 - Garrity (41), Wilson (51)
Line-Up - Allen, Hewitt (Hosie 71), Taylor (Anderson 77), Corke, Blackshaw, Garrity, Harris, Wilson, Pemberton (Brown 71), Archer, O'Rourke.
Unused Substitutes - Passant, Parker.
Man of the Match - B. Garrity (Warrington)

We've robbed Boreham Wood there. They were much the better side and would have won on another day. One question though.....HOW THE HELL ARE BOREHAM WOOD IN THIS LEAGUE!? They play down near London.

Saturday 5th September
Vanarama National League North Matchday #9
Cantilever Park
Warrington Town 3 - Archer (27,60), Harris (74)
Brackley Town 1 - Ndlovu (64)
Line-Up - Allen, Hewitt (Hosie 80), Taylor (Anderson 70), Corke, Blackshaw, Harris, Warren, Pemberton (Kellett 80), Brown, Archer, O'Rourke.
Unused Substitutes - Passant, Parker.
Man of the Match - C. Archer (Warrington)
Match Stats - Click here for Match Stats

We were much better in this one than against Boreham Wood and deserved to pick up all three points. We restricted Brackley to just two shots inside our box, which was pleasing.

Monday 7th September

The FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round draw sees us face Romulus away from home.

Wednesday 9th September
Vanarama National League North Matchday #10
Cantilever Park
Warrington Town 3 - Wilson (64,66), Hewitt (82)
York City 2 - McDermott (34), Carter (pen 86)
Line-Up - Allen, Hewitt, Taylor, Corke, Blackshaw, Harris (Hosie 53), Garrity, Quirk (Pemberton 61), Wilson, Archer, O'Rourke (Parker 58).
Unused Substitutes - Passant, Anderson.
Man of the Match - A. Wilson (Warrington)
Match Stats - Click here for Match Stats

How on earth was this game 3-2? We dominated in terms of shots on goal but just couldn't put our chances away whereas York did. The main thing though is that it's another three points.

Friday 11th September

Goalkeeper Fabian Spiess complain to the media about a lack of game time as if that'll make me play him over Harry Allen. Jog on mate.

Saturday 12th September
Vanarama National League North Matchday #11
Gateshead International Stadium
Gateshead 1 - Greenfield (35)
Warrington Town 3 - O'Rourke (2), Corke (21), Quirk 86)
Line-Up - Allen, Hewitt (Hosie 80), Anderson, Corke, Kellett (Blackshaw 57), Garrity, Harris, Quirk, Wilson, Archer, O'Rourke.
Unused Substitutes - Passant, Pemberton, Parker.
Man of the Match - F. O'Rourke (Warrington)
Match Stats - Click here for Match Stats

We dominated Gateshead to make it an amazing ten wins in a row and set a club record for consecutive league games won. I didn't really appreciate it before the start of the season, but this is one hell of a squad of players!

Wednesday 16th September

Fabian Speiss fined for missing training

Wednesday 16th September
Vanarama National League North Matchday #12
Cressing Road Stadium
Braintree Town 0 - N/A
Warrington Town 3 - O'Rourke (1). Kellett (33), Corke (52)
Line-Up - Allen, Hewitt (Hosie 62), Taylor, Corke, Kellett, Garrity, Harris, Quirk, Wilson (Pemberton 74), Archer (Parker 84), O'Rourke.
Unused Substitutes - Passant, Anderson.
Man of the Match - A. Kellett (Warrington)
Match Stats - Click here for Match Stats

Despite what the scoreline suggests, this game was a lot closer. Braintree gave it a good go and probably deserved to score at least one. Still, it's yet another three points for us so I'm happy.

Saturday 19th September
FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round
Castle Vale Stadium
Romulus 0 - N/A
Warrington Town 2 - Corbett (66), Parker (90)
Line-Up - Passant, Duggan, Anderson, Corbett, Blackshaw, Warren, Finnie, Mackreth, Brown, Parker, Beck.
Unused Substitutes - Allen, Hewitt, Harris, Archer, Taylor, Wilson, O'Rourke.
Man of the Match - Z. Corbett (Warrington)

I used this game as an opportunity to give all of our backup players a runout and they delivered a comfortable 2-0 win. Despite the result, I was disappointed that Dylan Parker and Mark Beck didn't do anything suggest that they can replace Fidel or Cameron upfront if one gets injured.

Monday 21st September

Warrington Town are drawn against Alvechurch at home in the FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round

Saturday 26th September
Vanarama National League North Matchday #13

How this game was only 1-0 is beyond me but it's another three points so I'll take it.

Wednesday 30th September
Vanarama National League North Matchday #14
The Community Stadium
Boston United 1 - Green (pen 90)
Warrington Town 2 - Quirk (70), Harris (85)
Line-Up - Allen, Hosie, Taylor, Corke, Kellett (Blackshaw 61), Garrity (Parker 61), Harris, Quirk, Wilson, Archer (Anderson 72), O'Rourke.
Unused Substitutes - Passant, Pemberton.
Man of the Match - J. Hosie (Warrington)

Usually, I'd give credit to the lads and talk about their performance but this one is on me and my tactical decisions. In our usual 4-2-2-2 formation, Boston were all over us as we couldn't get anything to stick up top. I decided to take off a midfielder and bring on a third striker and we managed to break the deadlock. 11 minutes later, I brought on a defender and we switched to 5 at the back, managing to grind out the result. I'm over the moon with that one.

League Table

Hands up who predicted this two months ago? I certainly didn't but I couldn't be happier. These players are really pulling it out the bag so far this season.

Next Month's Fixtures

We don't have many games away from Cantilever Park so hopefully, we can stretch our lead at the top of the table.
Another fantastic set of results for Warrington there, also a very good point about Boreham Wood in this division :)) A nice lead is building between you and York in the league and there is a kind draw for you in the FA Cup there to build up some extra revenue!

Another fantastic month of results. It's not just Boreham Wood who are geographically misplaced in this division... St Albans, Braintree... The South must be extremely southern this season! The FA Cup run looks set to continue with another welcome opponent. All rosey so far.

Thanks, I think York will be the team that we will be battling for top spot

I didn't even consider Braintree, that's crazy that they're in our league. I'll have to have a look and see who's in the south league
Quite the start this season, once again. Nine points clear with 14 games gone is quite the feat. I won't be surprised if it continues!

October 2020

Friday 2nd October

Luke Charman and Russ Griffiths join us on month-long trials. They aren't signings we need to make but I can't ignore the quality that these two have.

We've accepted two bids for midfielder Ross Finnie

Saturday 3rd October

Well, this came out of the blue. I turned it down as I don't believe Torquay represents a big enough step in my managerial career.

Wednesday 14th October

This is a bit better than the Torquay offer with Cheltenham sitting in 20th place in League Two. I've decided to attend and see what happens.

Mitch Duggan joins Blyth on loan for the rest of the season with Blyth paying his wages.

Wednesday 14th October

A hat-trick from the most unlikely source. I've never seen anything like it! That aside, it was a good response from losing for the first time this season.
