Welcome to our first save on FM23, Build a nation India with Ryntih FC
The choosing of the club has been based on the nearest club to where I live in the lowest division in India(based on the database downloaded from steam)

Club in Real Life:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryntih_FC
https://ryntihsc.com/

We have taken the job at Ryntih and we will try and take this team as far forward as possible.

We are supported by a small but dedicated bunch of supporter.

Ryntih's club vision is to avoid finishing bottom of the I League 2nd Division and that vision continues for the next five seasons.

The club doesnt have a stadium and no staff at the beginning of the season.
Finances at the beginning of the save:
1
For the purposes of the save all the finances will be spoken in INR and on per month basis as thats what is more common in India
As we start to put our adverts for staff, we have a bunch of friendly games against massive local teams in which we had satisfactory performances.
Stanley Singh joins as the chief physio at 6.5k/m, Shweta Chetri as physio at 4.5k/m and Crispin Chetri joins as Scout at 3.9k/m. We are unable to attract a single applicant for assistant manager before the league season begins.

The first day in the league was an absolute joy for us as we beat Kerela United 3-0 with Sheen Shohktung scoring a brace.

With time running out we hire a coach before we can hire an assistant manager. Brian Das joins at 10k/m and will have to take on my assistant manager duties as well. He is extremely poor at man management but has a high level of discipline so he might do the job for us.

In the mean time the club has attracted the first sponsor at 575k for 2 seasons. Thats half a month of salaries in sponsorship so its a step forward. More staff signings are underway as Ashok Singh joins as General Manager at 19k/m and David Rai joins as Chief Scout at 3.9k/m.

With 4 wins from 4 games so far, on the 24th of July I decide to go ask for a coaching badge. Its early but there was no harm in asking and the board was happy to cover the 44.5k needed to study for a National C License.

In the next staff meeting, Nitin Chakraborty was recommended as a scout and we are delighted to welcome him at 3.9k/m. He comes in at 1 star reputation which makes him our most reputed staff member.
A hectic July ends with us top of the league with 13 points from 5 games. As finances are tight we decided not to have the recruitment package. Our scouts have good knowledge of the Indian football scene so we should be able to save some money in that way. We cant afford the 480k/m India recruitment package and maybe we will go for the league package at 97k/m if finances get stable which is unlikely.
1
Indian I League division 2 has 20 teams with each team playing the others 3 times. Thats a crazy 57 games and we definitely dont have the squad depth to play games every 3 days all year. As a result we had to go buy reinforcement. The idea was to strengthen the squad and also add depth.

We managed to make 7 signings in the next few months getting the squad size upto 23.

I am also losing control of the squad, many of whom are unhappy with the playing times and anyone I try to convince and reduce playing times seems to get angry or offended. Probably things will get better once the coaching badge comes in.
As for results form has been patchy and we lie in 8th place at the end of October with 44 points of 28 games. We have managed to reach the 4th round of the IFA cup and 3rd round of the Durand Cup.

I really enjoyed my save in India on FM22, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too! I managed Aizawl FC, and it was a lot of fun. Best of luck mate, I'll be keeping an eye on your progress!
@J_ames the save has to be aborted as there are a bunch of game breaking bugs that became evident as I played through the season.
Important ones:
1. The cup giving qualification to Asian Confederations Cup is not open to the top league. That makes it horrible as the top clubs not getting qualification while the league below gets it seems wrong.
2. ISL no prize or tv money. ISL clubs are not rich but they get 150m INR in TV money each year. Also the winner can get upto 75m INR in prize money. Without these it seems all teams are in huge debt.

I think these can be fixed with the pre game editor but I am not an editor guy so it seems sad that the save will be a short one. I hope to revisit this if the issues are solved or I have the patience to learn the editor.

Hi, I followed your career and it intrigued me. You should report it to Sega's FM23 bug tracker to get it fixed

I think this was why I left Aizawl and began a 'journeyman' styled save, as I won the I-League and didn't get continental football as a reward!

It's a shame that this story has ended so soon, but best of luck in your future saves :)
That's an excellent idea and I definitely have the leagues loaded to make it a Journeyman if needed. Will play on a couple of more seasons and see how that shapes up.
The Journey Continues:
This constant run of games continued as we blew hot and cold, sometimes being sublime and then being poor next game. The glorious IFA cup run came to an end 2-3 in extra time to local rivals Rangdajied United who are in the league above.
We finished our National C License and immediately asked for National B License.
A 3-0 defeat to Kerala FC saw us end our Durand Cup run also come to an end.
This created a downhill slide that I was unable to solve and with a bunch of tactical changes we managed to get back some semblance of form.
In January we got a new contract at 120k/pm, not a raise but one additional year in this job. There is nothing much to write home in the rest of the season.
On April 1 we got our National B License and started to study for National A License.
Youth intake was horrible with just 1 player capable enough though we did give contract to couple more players.
First season ends with 12th place and finances 13m in the red.

Becoming the Editor Guy
Today morning I decided to actually give the editor a go, watched a few videos and we went working with it.
Boy, its been a crazy ride!

Changes made:
1. ISL now has the teams, the league stage and the championship playoffs
2. Prize money is sorted out correctly for the ISL, though I could only give money to the playoff winner. So the prize money in the league was adjusted so the total prize pool remains correct.
3. ISL TV money, I League Travel Subsidy and Matchday Subsidy (for both divisions) have been added as TV money for the leagues. For ISL 150m INR, I League 6.5m INR and I League 2nd Division is 1.9m INR.
4. Prize money for winning games in I league and I league 2nd division which is 50k and 25k respectively.
5. Transfer window correctly added for India.
6. Indian Super Cup, Indian Durand Cup added correctly with the prize money pool of 9m INR and 6m INR respectively. Super Cup gives continental football.
7. Added U23 and U19 leagues.
More changes:
Squad Registration Rules: Maximum 35 players in Squad, maximum 7 foreigners in squad.
Playing 11 rules: Maximum of 4 foreigners in Squad

Substitution Rules:
5 from 9 (max of 3 stoppages)
Great to see that you'll be continuing this story, and hopefully the database that you've created will help you enjoy the save via the additional realism :D
Thanks @J_ames.
With the new database, we are again up for giving the challenge a go. As an added realism factor, I will only be able to take coaching badges National C/B at 3rd div, National A in 2nd div, Continental C/B in top division based on where I was when I promoted to ISL. For Continental A I need to reach ISL playoffs and I need to be in Continental Football for Pro License. An extra license may be taken at each level if and only if its been 2 seasons since my previous license.
Season 1:
We take charge of Ryntih FC once again in the Indian 3rd Tier.
We go through the process of hiring staff and players, I would keep this first season update short as I wanted to quickly check the database is playing well and so rushed through the first season.

Key Staff:
We signed a coach, a Head of Youth development, a chief scout, 2 scouts, a head physio and a physio. We also signed a U23 assistant coach and U19 assistant coach. The following two are the best signings among staff.

Transfers:
We tried to sign most of the players in our squad in the previous try to keep the game state similar.

Competions:
A soild first season though after 29 games we were in the promotion race. A horrible run of just 6 points in the last 9 games ended those hopes but I am happy with the performance.
