Running game from Steam btw, I don't think there is a way to stop updates, just delay.

That's likely broke saved games even when not using Genie. Clueless.
Also, I can't use FM Genie Scout tonight, and it was working fine earlier today.
As others suggested, there was an official FM update tonight due to a license ending. The official forum suggests that it is Manchester City that has been removed from the game in the update.
Does this mean we have to wait for an update on FM Genie Scout before it works again?

after the latest FM24 update on May 19th, FM Genie Scout no longer works for me – it says "game data not found."
