I decided to take Seattle Sounders which is playing in Major League Soccer.




On 20.1.2010 Chairman of Seattle Sounders had everybody shocked as he appointed a former international player as their new manager. This job is his first job as manager so there are some fans who just doesn’t agree with Joe Roth(chairman) to appoint Maciej Dabrowski as their new manager because he might not be good enough.
After appointing as new manager all he said was ‘I have dream of this moment for years.’
All will find out if manager of Seattle is good enough when the season will begin where Seattle will take on Philadelphia on 24.3.2010 at home.

After the transfer window fans and media founded out that Maciej Dabrowski thinks that he squad is good enough that he made 2 transfers but 3 days later they have been waived from the club.

Also new manager have left the same tactic which was used by former manager of Seattle Sigi Schmid.

March-April

March League Result:

Philadelphia 2-1

First match in charge of new manager Maciej Dabrowski and it is a win which is good start of the journey for manager of Seattle. In this match Seattle were playing better so there fans should be happy by how team performed.

April League Results:

New York 2-1

Another win for Seattle and they moved to the top of MLS Western Conference after this match. New York played slightly better in this match so fans on the stands were thinking that New York will win this match because they had a lead from 20th minute of the match but a Seattle player Blaise Nkfuro was unstoppable and managed to score 62nd and 72nd minute.

Salt Lake 2-2
Seattle faced a quite tough game against Salt Lake away. Salt Lake were favourites in this match so Seattle manager said if his team will get some points from this game it would be good. The first goal scored Tyson Wahl for Seattle in 20th minute than Slat Lake had equalised in 23rd minute. After the break Salt Lake take the lead for the first time in this match but Seattle quickly scored and in 51st minute it was 2-2.

Kansas City 3-2
Nice performance from Seattle and their manager and their fans were pleased with that result but they were hoping that it would be good if they didn’t lose 2nd goal so easily but most important for manager is that team managed to get all 3 points from this match. At the break fans already were pleased as Seattle were winning 2-1 and they played a lot better. After the break Seattle quickly attack and in 47th minute Taylor Graham had scored for Seattle and there were leading 3-1 until 86th minute as Jack Jewsbury scored for Kansas.

FC Dallas 1-1

‘Seattle had been playing a lot better than FC Dallas.’ That was what Seattle manager said after the game. He also added:’ My team played away so maybe they couldn’t finish their chances and Dallas is good team so I am pleased with a point.’ First goal of the match was scored in 60th minute by Ned Grabovey for FC Dallas. The equaliser had been scored in 79th minute by Tyson Wahl which was his 2nd goal of the season in 3rd game which is amazing result for central defender.

Toronto FC 1-0
So after first month in charge of Seattle: Maciej Dabrowski should be proud as he haven’t lost any games in this month in the league and even managed to get 14 points in 6 matches and they are currently in the top of MLS Western Conference so board and fans should be pleased with teams performance so far. Toronto had been playing slightly better in this match but after 29th minute it went kind of uphill for them as Seattle were leading by goal from Blaise Nkufo which is in incredible form scoring his 6th goal in 5th match of the season.

US Cup:
In Qualification Round 1st Round Seattle played New England.

New England 2-0
Seattle were playing a lot better than New England and in opinion of Seattle manager there deserved this win. First goal was scored in 17th minute by Sylvain Wiltord and until half time match score was 1-0. Second goal came slightly after the break in 51st minute by David Estrada. In 2nd Round Seattle will play Colorado.

May League Results:

Columbus 3-0
Great start in May for Seattle as they beat team from Ohio. Well Seattle played a little bit better than Columbus and they deserved the win but as their manager said ‘ I didn’t expect a win by 3 goals but that means my team can finish their chances .’ In first half there was only 1 goal which was scored by Pat Noonan in 9th minute. 3 minutes after the break Fredy Montero scored another goal and last goal was scored by Pat Noonan in 68th minute.

Los Angeles 4-3
What a game! 7 goals in one game. Both teams played really good and most fans thought this match will end in a 3-3 draw. First goal was scored by Chad Barrett in 2nd minute of the game. Equalizer came in 9th minute and was scored by Fredy Montero. And there was yet another goal in 35th minute by Juan Pablo Angel, then he scored again in 60th minute for 3-1 to Los Angeles. Seattle was in tough situation because they were losing 2 goals but they quick comeback as Steve Zakuani had scored twice in 65th and 68th minute. And as all people who were watching the game thought that will be end score Seattle had a corner and it was taken a central defender Tyson Wahl had scored in 90th minute of the game.

New York 6-1

Well it is the highest win which Seattle had ever got. ‘ I never expected to win by 5 goals.’ Said manager of Seattle. ‘ I thought this match will be hard and it will be really good to go away with at least a point and then I saw first half of the match and Seattle were up by 3 goals and I was incredibly happy as 3 goals comeback was hard.’

San Jose 4-1

Another good victory by Seattle and good performance by Fredy Montero as he had scored 2 goals in the first half. He had scored in 7th minute and then in 27th minute. But these weren’t the only goals in first half as another Seattle striker Blaise Nkufo scored in 11th minute. After the break San Jose had finally scored in 64th minute by Nate Jaqua. Final goal was scored by Steve Zakuani in 85th minute. ‘ I think it is pretty good result but the only thing that I didn’t like about my team play was how much yellow cards they got as 5 yellow cards in a match is just too much.’

Colorado 4-2
Perfect month for Maciej Dabrowski and his Seattle players as they had won their 5 match league out of 5 in may and their also had been unbeaten for 11 games now which is record for Seattle and they also the only team in MLS which haven’t lost single match so far. Well it wasn’t the best match for Colorado as they had 2 sending off’s in 33rd minute and in 90th minute. First goal was scored for Seattle by Tyrone Marshall who put ball in his own net. Second goal was scored By Conor Casey in 37th minute for Colorado. After the break Colorado had take a lead as Pablo Mastreoni scored from a penalty in 52nd minute. Well as Seattle fans were really disappointing because Seattle didn’t equalize until 82nd minute as Blaise Nkufo scored his 8th goal of the season. Than unstoppable Fredy Montero had scored in 85th minute. And at the end of the match Tyson Wahl had scored on 91st minute.


US Cup:

Colorado 1-1( pen4-2)
It was good performance by Seattle as they qualify into next round of the US Cup. They played slightly better than Colorado but they couldn’t win in the 90 minutes but they kept a nerve and didn’t miss any of the penalties at the end.

June League Results:

D.C. United 2-1

Well it was tough game for both teams as they both were playing good but Seattle took quick lead as in 7th minute Taylor Graham have scored. Second goal was scored minutes after the first and exactly in 12th minute by Steve Zakuani and result was the same until the half time. Only goal in second-half was scored by Joseph Ngwenya in 68th minute. ‘I am very pleased with the result. Both teams played good but in the end Seattle got all the points.’ That what was said by Seattle manager after the match.

New England 4-0

What a result for Seattle. They have dominated in this game as New England had only 2 shots in this match. The match basically ended in first half time as Seattle were leading 3-0. First goal was scored by Leone Cruz in 21st minute, then another goal was in 34th minute and was scored by Alvaro Fernandez. Final goal in first half was scored in 44th minute by unstoppable Blaise Nkufo. The last goal was scored from penalty in 87th minute by Roger Levesque. ‘ WOW what a performance by Seattle and I am just amazed by this result and before the game I was hoping for a win but didn’t expect a 4 goal win. After half time Seattle was going downhill because they were leading by 3 goals and New England just didn’t create chances and in 65th minute New England got a red card which was just easier for my team.’ Seattle manager after the game.

Philadelphia 3-1

Another victory in the league for Seattle. It was good start for the Seattle as Blaise Nkufo had scored in 8th minute of the match. Equalizer came in 16th minute and was scored by Jack McInerney. AS every fans on the stands thought this would be until the break Fredy Montero had scored in 45+2th minute to give Seattle a lead. Last goal of the game had come just after the break as Blaise Nkufo had scored again in this match in 49th minute. The man of the match was awarded to Blaise Nkufo who managed to score his 10th and 11th goal of the season. Also another player who managed to get higher rating than 8.0 was awarded to Fredy Montero who scored his 8th goal of the season.

FC Dallas 1-0(A.E.T.) Both teams performed at similar level so fans on the stadium didn’t expect to see match to end in 90 minutes and some of them thought that game will go into penalties until Kyle Davies had scored in 111th minute unfortunately in scored into his own net.

Charlotte 2-0
Well it was easy opponent for Seattle and everyone expected a win for Seattle and they did have won this match. Seattle have determined in this match as Charlotte didn’t have single shot on goal. First goal was scored by Fredy Montero in 25th minute from penalty spot. Second and last goal was also scored in first half but this time by Emmanuel Olisadebe in 38th minute.

Orlando 3-1(A.E.T)
As all the fans and staff thought it would be easy game for Seattle but Orlando were playing really good and they even scored 1st goal of the match in 15th minute by Ian Fuller. Equalizer came just few minutes later in 19th minute. That was the score until 104th minute when Osvaldo Alonso had scored his first goal this season. Last goal was in 115th minute by Patrick Ianni which also was first goal this season. The man of the match award was awarded to Patrick Ianni who really player very well in this match.

Los Angeles 1-0
Great start of July for Seattle players. It was a tough match for Seattle as they were playing on Depot Center in Carson, California. Los Angeles were struggling this season as before this game they had 11 points out of 14 games and they were 6th in Western Conference and their media prediction is to be 1st so they are underperforming so far in season. In this match they were playing slightly better than Seattle but it was Seattle who had scored and take 3 points with them. Only goal was scored in 63rd minute by Danny Earls.

FC Dallas 0-0

Great 10 winning streak was ended with this draw for Seattle but Seattle kept their 16 unbeaten streak. In this match both teams played OK but neither of sides could create a chance in which they could have scored. ‘Well before the game I thought that Seattle will win this game but I took to my head that this season we didn’t beat FC Dallas in 90 minutes.’ That what after the game had to say Seattle manager.

D.C. United 8-2

What a victory for Seattle! This result is the biggest result in MLS, it is also the highest win for Seattle and biggest defeat for D.C. United. Seattle fans were really excited as they team after 13 minutes were leading 2-0 already. Both first goals were scored by Steve Zakuani in 10th and 13th minute. 3rd goal in the game was scored by Joseph Ngwenya in 31st minute for DC United but 2 minutes later Steve Zakuani completed his hat-trick. But it didn’t end there in 1st half as in 44th minute Alecko Eskandarian had scored to give Seattle 4-1 lead. 10 minutes after the break Steve Zakuani had scored his 4th goal in this match. In 62nd minute Seattle had scored to get incredible lead 6-1 and scorer of that goal was David Estrada. In 71st minute Seattle increased their lead for 7-1 and on score list sign Steve Zakuani again. And just minute after that Chris Pontius had scored for D.C. United. Last goal of the match was scored by unstoppable Steve Zakuani who scored his 6th goal of the match.

Colorado 2-0
Another win for Seattle which meant that it was their 15 win of the season which is incredible. The first half didn’t start well for Seattle as Colorado had attacking most of the half but they did not score any goals which they needed. First goal come 7 minutes after the break and was scored by Blaise Nkfuo which was his 12th goal of the season. 2nd goal was scored by Blaise Nkfuo in 80th minute of the game and 2 minutes later Seattle manager got a little scared as one of his midfielders got sent off and had to play with 10 man.

San Jose 3-1
Seattle have won this match quite comfortably as they determined in most of the game. In first half there was only 1 goal and it was scored by Jeff Parke in 16th minute of the game. 2nd goal was scored by Danny Earls in 66th minute and it was his 2nd goal of the season so far and 2nd this month. Than James Riley had goal in 85th minute but unfortunately in the wrong net and San Jose had still hoped as they were attacking to get at least 1 points from this match but on a counter attack Eddie Gaven had managed to score in 88th minute, which also meant that he managed to score on his debut.

League Results:

Houston 2-1

Great start of August for Seattle as they have beat team from Texas. Seattle had determinate in this game. In first half of the match there weren’t any goals but player of Houston Ndabashinze Dugary had been sent off in 35th minute of the match. The second half did not start well for Seattle as Jason Garey had scored for Houston in 48th minute. Equalizer come in 73rd minute and was scored by Brad Evans. And as all thought game will end with result of 1-1 Steve Zakuani had scored in 90+2 minute.

Chivas USA 2-1
Another victory for Seattle. It was 21st match that Seattle was unbeaten in the league which is great run for Seattle. Both teams played really well but Seattle maybe played slightly better. First goal come late in first half exactly in 45+1th minute and was scored by Steve Zakuani. Equalizer come just after break and in 50th minute Blair Gavin. Seattle had taken lead quite late in a game in 85th minute from penalty and was taken by Alecko Eskandarian.

Chicago 3-2

All wins in the league for Seattle and it was 19th win of the season out of 22 league games. It was a good start of the match as Seattle take a lead in 4th minute of the match thanks to Steve Zakuani. Seattle increased their lead in 29th minute and goal was scored by Brad Evans. There was another goal in first half and Chicago had scored in 45+3th minute thanks to Baggio Husidic. Chicago had equalize 7 minutes after the break. Crucial goal for Chicago was scored by Fernando Julien Freire. The last goal of the match was scored by Pat Noonan in 72nd minute.

North American Champions League Preliminary Round

Joe Public (Trin & Tob) 2-0
Well Seattle have won their first leg North American Champions League Preliminary Round. Seattle was playing better than Joe Public. First goal come in 27th minute and was scored by Conrad Smith unfortunately he scored in the wrong net. Second goal of the match was scored by Eddie Gaven in 88th minute.

Really good story for you so far mate and interesting to read. This has made me want to start a new game as a team I would never really look at taking control at or even the league for that matter! lol. Think I might start my own MLS campaign tonight :). Either that or somewhere in Asia!!

It was great match for Seattle as they won yet another game. It was great start of the match for Seattle as they take a lead in 10th minute of the match and Brad Evans scored again. 4 minutes late Seattle fans got more exited as Patrick Ianni make it 2-0 and until half-time result held the same. In 71st minute New England scored their first goal and scorer was Zack Schilawski from penalty. In 76th minute New England had equalized as Darrius Barens had scored. As all fans and staff watching the game thought this will be ending score unstoppable this season Blaise Nkufo had scored in 90+3th minute.

Columbus 2-2

Well Seattle had draw this time but Columbus were better team in this match so they should be happy with getting 1 point this time. It was great start for Columbus as they take a lead just after 9 minutes of match. Kevin Burns his 2nd goal of the season in this match. Until half-time the result holed. Seattle had equalize in 61st minute thanks to Corey Attaway. Than in 83rd minute Seattle were leading thanks to goal scored by Patrick Ianni. 3 minutes later Robbie Rogers had scored for Columbus and that result remained until the end of the match.

Chicago 2-0
Good win for Seattle and thanks to this win they qualified into semi-final. Some may say that Chicago played slightly better than Seattle but it was Seattle who took a lead in 46th minute thanks to goal scored by Servando Carrasco. Second goal was scored late in the game and was scored by incredible Eddie Gaven in 89th minute of the match and it was his 8th goal in league this season.

North American Champions League
Preliminary Round 2nd Leg

Joe Public 2-1
Seattle played really well and they deserved to go through to the Group Stage. In first half Seattle take a lead as left winger Miguel Montano had scored a goal in 40th minute of the game. Second goal come in 57th minute and Taylor Graham had scored and Seattle were leading 2-0 so Joe Public had nearly impossible task to qualify. In 59th minute Carlyle Mitchell had gave hopes for Joe Public to get at least draw from this game but unfortunately they lost.

Group Stage A

Puerto Rico 2-0
Good win in first group stage for Seattle. Seattle played better in this match and they were clear favorites in this match but they taken the lead just after half- time in 46th minute thanks to 3rd best scoring midfielder for Seattle Brad Evans. 2nd goal come quite late in 77th minute and was scored by 2nd best scoring midfielder Eddie Gaven.

Monterrey 2-2
Well Monterrey were favorites before the game and they sure were playing better in this match and luckily for Seattle they could go out from this match with a point. Match started better for Seattle as they took lead in 11th minute of the match by goal from Blaise Nkufo. In 28th minute take equalizer and was scored Humberto Suazo and Monterrey had taken lead in first half as in 45th minute Miguel Morales had scored. Equalizer came in 67th minute and Blaise Nkufo had scored yet again in this match.

Olimpia (HON) 2-1
2nd win in North American Champions League in group stage for Seattle which means they have 7 points out of 9 possible so far and they are at the top with 1 point ahead of Puerto Rico. Both teams played really well but it was Seattle who took lead in 43rd minute thanks to goal scored by Eddie Gaven. Olimpia had equalized just 5 minutes after half-time thanks to own goal scored by Seattle defensive midfielder Erik Friberg. Seattle had taken a lead in 82nd minute as another player had scored own goal who was Rony Bueso(not really player) who plays as goalkeeper.

US Cup:

Minnesota 2-0
Seattle were lucky that they draw not so good opposition in semi-final of US Cup and everyone predicted that they will win and they won. First goal was scored quite late in first half in 30th minute of the match and Seattle taken the lead thanks to Leone Cruz. 2nd goal was scored by left winger Danny Earls in 60th minutes who unfortunately was injured 13 minutes later. So thanks to this win Seattle will be in 2nd final in the row and they will play against Houston.

Toronto FC 2-1
Great start of the last month of season 2010 for Seattle as they won against Toronto. Match started great for Seattle as after 11 minutes they were leading 2-0 already. First goal was scored by Blaise Nkufo in 5th minute of the match and second goal was scored by Alecko Eskandarian in 11th minute. This result hold into the half-time. Only goal scored for Toronto was scored by Dwayne De Rosario in 79th minute of the match.

Kansas City 0-0

Well not so good match for Seattle as they played slightly worse than Kansas but they kept one point from this match which was good because they could lose this match and their unbeaten record would shatter.

Salt Lake 5-1

Great result for Seattle after disappointing game against Kansas. Match didn’t start well for Seattle as Nat Borchers had scored for Salt Lake in 8th minute. Equalizer come in 30th minute of the match and was scored by David Estrada. 7 minutes later Seattle take a lead thanks to Leonardo Gonzalez. There was yet another goal in first half in 43rd minute and was scored by Eddie Gaven. In 70th minute Jeff Parke scored another goal and just 4 minute after Blaise Nkufo scored goal.

Chivas USA 1-1

Well another draw in this month for Seattle. Chivas played slightly better than Seattle so they have been kinda disappointed from this result but they have at least 1 points from this match. First goal was scored by Blair Gavin in 22nd minute for Chivas USA and this result was kept until 69th minute when Danny Earle had equalized.

Houston 3-1

Seattle have won their last game in MLS Regular Season. In first half there was only 1 goal and it was scored by Blaise Nkufo in 27th minute. In 50th and in 72nd minutes Seattle have take a 3-0 lead and both goals were scored by Steve Zakuani. Only goal scored by Houston was in 73rd minute and it was scored by Bright Dike.

Puerto Rico 2-1

Well thanks to this win Seattle were one step closer to qualify into Quarter Final. 37th minute didn’t go well for Seattle as they conceded a goal scored by Kendall Jagdeosingh. Equalizer come just 6 minutes after and was scored by Brad Evans. This result was kept until 90+2 minute were thanks to Danny Earls Seattle took 3 points from this match.

Monterrey 4-4

In this match fans had lots to celebrate because thanks to this draw Seattle had qualified into Quarter Final of Champions League. It was good start for Seattle as Brad Evans had scored in 9th minute. But after that it whet downhill as in 17th, 19th and 30th minutes Robert had scored a classical hat-trick to give Monterrey lead 3-1. Humberto Suazo had put goal in 42nd minute to give Seattle fans no hope for qualification in this match. There was yet another goal in first half as Eddie Gave have scored in 45th minute. Just after the break in 49th minute Alecko Eskandarian had scored a goal. Seattle had scored a equalizer in 75th minute and the scorer was Eddie Gaven.

Olimpia (HON) 5-0
Great win for Seattle in last game of the Champions League Group Stage. It was great start of the match as in 8th minute Steve Zakuani had scored first goal and he again scored in 18th minute. In 27th minute Brad Evans had scored a goal to give Seattle 3-0 lead. 4 minutes later Patrick Ianni had scored another goal for Seattle. Until half-time Seattle were leading 4-0. 3 minutes after the break Steve Zakuani had scored his hat-tick.

US Cup:

Houston 1-0
Well Seattle have won another US Cup in the row. Seattle have played slightly better than Houston. The only goal of the game was scored by Steve Zakuani who have been playing really well in this match and was awarded man of the match.

MLS West Conf. Semi Final First Leg

Salt Lake 3-1
After the first leg Seattle is one step closer to Final of the MLS West Conf. It was bad start of the match for Seattle as Fabian Espindola had scored goal in 2nd minute of the match. In 23rd minute Seattle had equalized thanks to goal scored by Alecko Eskandarian and he also scored 2 minutes later to give Seattle a lead. This result was kept until 57th minute as Blaise Nkufo scored a goal.

MLS Western Conf. Semi-Final 2nd Leg

Salt Lake 2-1

Seattle have won their 2nd leg of MLS Western Conf. Semi-final which meant that they are going to the final of Western Conf. In first half there was only 1 goal which was scored in 34th minute by Blaise Nkufo for Seattle. Equalized goal come in 64th minute and was scored by Leonardo Gonzalez unfortunately he scored into wrong net. A leading and winning goal for Seattle come in 90th minute and was scored by unstoppable Blaise Nkufo. Thanks to this win Seattle go into Western Conf. Final.

MLS Western Conf. Final

Chivas 2-1(A.E.T.)

Well Seattle have win a this match and they go into their first ever MLS Final. First half didn’t go well for Seattle as they were down by 1 goal which was scored in 35th minute by Justin Braun. Equalizer come in 65th minute and was scored by Eddie Gaven which was his 4th goal for Seattle and his 10th of the season. Leading goal which gave Seattle their 1st MLS Final come really late in the game because in 120th minute of the game and was scored by Blaise Nkufo which also made him the top goalscorer for Seattle with 21 goals.

MLS Final:

New York 2-1

Well Seattle have managed to win their first MLS title! 1st half was better for Seattle as they were up by 1 goal which was scored by Blaise Nkufo who have scored in 34th minute of the match. Result have changed in 66th minute as Blaise Nkufo have scored again for Seattle and they were leading 2-0. Only goal scored by New York was scored by Joel Lindpere in 81st minute. “ I am SO pleased that in my first season with Seattle I have managed to win MLS which is just incredible.” Said Seattle manager Maciej Dabrowski. “ When I took the team I was thinking about getting about 4th place in Western Conf. table but here we are winning the title.”

I have exams this month so I don't have much time for playing FM but after exams there will be lot mote updates.

After month of not playing and not writing story I finally managed to go on. In Febuary I only played three games - all in international cups- and somehow Seattle have managed to win all of them.

But firstly this season I had 2.5 million pounds with 82K for wage budget and I thought it was quite a lot of money but I decided to change this into 0 for transfer budget and 130K for wage budget.

Pan-Pacific Championship Semi-Final:

Nagoya Stolz(JPN) 3-2


Well Nagoya played slightly better than Seattle in this match but it was Seattle who take away this important win in this match. First goal was scored by George Junior Weah in first minute of the match. Than Nagoya had equalize 9 minutes after from penalty and in first half they managed to get into lead as Scott Buete had scored into his net in 36th minute. In 54th minute Eddie Gaven had scored goal to get Seattle a chance for win. Seattle took lead in 63rd minute thanks to Steve Zakuani which lead Seattle into final of Pan-Pacific Championship.

Pan-Pacific Championship Final:

Shandong(CHN) 3-2


Seattle have won their first Pan-Pacific Championship in which they took part of which is just good. First goal come in 5th minute for Seattle and was scored by left-winger Steve Zakuani which was his 2nd goal of cup. Shandong had equalize after 7 minutes by Zhao Xiao(unreal player), this result hold until half-time. In second half Seattle had took a lead again in 53rd minute by Servando Carrasco, then Seattle had scored again in 57th minute by striker Alecko Eskandarian. Los Angeles had played slightly better but Seattle managed to get a win by amazing 3 goals. First goal come in 17th minute for Seattle and was scored by Todd Dunivant who place ball in his net. 13 minutes later the same player had equalizes for Los Angeles and the result hold on until 54th minute when Miguel Montano had scored. 11 minutes later Seattle’s attacking midfielder Brad Evans had scored for 3-1 and then again he scored in 84th minute to made 4-1 for Seattle which means that Seattle have better chances getting through into Semi-Final.

In sports section of Seattle Times, Seattle Sounders manager had commented on his team performance this month: “My team had played really well this month and every manager would be pleased-like me- if their teams would win all games and I just don’t have words to describe how I am happy with their performance in these three games especially win against Los Angeles.”

Well not a great month for my Seattle team because in 4 games in March they didn’t managed to get a single win where I think teams which they played weren’t that good. And I am also gutted that they have been knock out from North America Champions League but Monterrey was just too good as in last 4 meetings against them my team has poor result of 3 draws and 1 lost.

North American Champions League Quarter Final 2nd Leg:

Los Angeles 0-1

Well Los Angeles have won at home to Seattle but this result was not good enough to get them through into Semi-Finals which makes Seattle fans and board happy. First and only goal of the match was scored in 43rd minute of the match and was scored by Slovakian right winger Branislav Obzera. Los Angeles could had bigger win but unfortunately for them one of their best players Landon Donovan didn’t score from penalty spot which they had in 23rd minute.

North American Champions League Semi Final:

Monterrey(MEX) 0-0

Well it was rather better result for Monterrey than Seattle but watching how Monterrey had played it was kind of unfair as Seattle played quite well in defense and that’s why lot of chances which Monterrey had didn’t go into the net.

Monterrey(MEX) 0-1


Well thanks to this win Monterrey was first finalist of NACL this season and they were first finalists from Mexico this season and they were in their first final ever. Match was good to watch and both teams had similar number of chances but it was Monterrey who managed to get the only goal of this match and was scored by unstoppable Humberto Suazo who had scored in 33rd minute and it was his 3rd goal against Seattle in NACL competition. In the final they will face American team San Jose.

Toronto 1-1

Well after this match Seattle managed wasn’t too pleased as his team did not win any of four games which they played this month. Seattle were creating more chances than team from Canada. Seattle was first to score goal and it happened in 6th minute and goal scorer was Roger Levesque who wasn’t too good in last season as he only scored 3 goals in 12 games in the league and this season he scored first goal for Seattle in 2011 season. Equalizer come just 3 minutes later and was scored by US right winger Jacob Peterson which was his 2nd goal of the season.

Salt Lake 3-0

Seattle had been playing better in this match and they deserved this win. All goals in this match had been scored in first half. First one come in 26th minute and was scored by Seattle’s top goalscorer Blaise Nkufo. The same player had scored again 8 minutes later from penalty spot. In 41st minute Patrick Ianni had increased Seattle’s lead to 3-0 and it was end score.

New York 0-1

Well both teams played on similar level but it was New York players who made great play and they eventually scored this important goal and they went away with 3 points in this match. The only goal scored in this match was scored by young Colombian striker Juan Agudelo who had scored his first goal of the season and also his second goal for New York in the league ever.

Colorado 1-1

Well that’s result probably made Seattle fans disappointed because Seattle was playing better in this match and they were playing at home but one point is still better than losing especially after losing against New York in last match. First goal was scored by Colorado striker Omar Cummings who was just unstoppable last season and is playing good this season. In 38th minute Seattle founded an equalizer thanks to goal scored by Patrick Ianni who scored his second goal of the season playing as CB.

Columbus 2-0

Well this match was kind of disappointing as there were just 12 shots between these two teams, and there were only 4 shots on target. There weren’t any goals in first half. First goal came quite late as Seattle’s attacking central midfielder Brad Evans had scored in 71st minute to give Seattle 1-0 lead. Than the same player had scored another goal 12 minutes later, he also have been named man of the match award with the highest rating in this match with 8.8 which also made him the only player who had rating higher than 8.0.

Chivas USA 2-1

Well Seattle was playing good in this match but Chivas players weren’t giving up and they also played good match so that was really good match to watch for the fans. In the first half there was only one goal which was scored for Seattle by their attacking midfielder Servando Carrasco in 27th minute. Just after the break Chivas got chance of getting back into the game as Seattle’s right back James Riley had received his second yellow card and was sent off. Chivas got back into the game as Nate Jaque had scored his first goal ever for Chivas in 69th minute but after just 3 minutes Seattle’s defensive midfielder Erik Friberg had scored his first goal of the season.
