Very nice team in this season, good luck ;]
FA Cup 4th Round – Blackpool H

4-4-2
Line Up - David de Gea, Rafael, Scott Wootton, Luke McCullough, Jordi Alba, Alvaro Vadillo, Mateo Kovacic, Mats Moller Daehli, Ravel Morrison, Carlos Fierro, Will Keane
Subs Used – Adnan Januzaj, Tom Cleverley, Paul Pogba

Won the game 4-0. The first from McCullough who scored from a Kovacic corner. Then Blackpool scored an own goal after another Kovacic corner. Keane then scored his first and second goals for the club. The first was a lovely chip and the second was made with quick and precise passing in the box by Januzaj and Fierro that allowed Fierro to play in Keane. I was very pleased how the young team played.
League Game – West Brom A

I decided to take a chance and use the players who performed in the Liverpool and Blackpool game to see how they would get on against league opponents.

4-4-2
Line Up - David de Gea, Kyle Walker, Scott Wootton, Luke McCullough, Jordi Alba, Adnan Januzaj, Mateo Kovacic, Mats Moller Daehli, Alvaro Vadillo, Carlos Fierro, Will Keane
Subs Used - Ravel Morrison, Oliver Norwood, Ryan Tunnicliffe.

As I though the young players struggled and they lost 3-1. The only ray I light was a first goal by Vadillo. I at least know where the players are in their development now.
League Game – Everton H

4-2-3-1
Line Up - David de Gea, Kyle Walker, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Jordi Alba, Paul Pogba, Tom Cleverley, Nani, Mario Götze, Ashley Young, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Chris Smalling, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney

A good 3-0 result as the big guns returned. Nani, Pogba and Hernández scored the goals.
Wow great story so far Godman, how are your youngsters progressing, like januzaj, wootton, mccullough, daehli, morrison, norwood, tunnicliffe and keane? As they haven't, so far, shown too much improvement in my own game I am playing as united in and was wanting to see how they have progressed in yours as a comparison type thing....but well done on getting them to develope into players that can get into the team :) hoping for more success from the Red Devils for years to come

Thanks adamahc, I will break them down -

Scott Wootton - Stared using him in the second season and he has the stats to say he could be a good defender but so far he has done OK. Waiting to see how he develops in the 2nd half of the first season.

Luke McCullough - Have not used much due to his age but this season has scored 2 goals in three starts. Needs to develop his mental attributes.

Tom Cleverley - A improvement from the start, has the attributes to be a good/great player. I am using him as a B2B CM or as a Attacking AM and he is doing well. Plus he has started scoring goals as well.

Paul Pogba - The biggest improvement, has the attributes to be a great player. I am using him as a B2B CM and he is doing very well. He has started scoring goals and is passing very well. I am looking into developing his tackling attribute to make him the all round midfielder.

Adnan Januzaj - Have not used much due to his age but he has the attributes to be a top player. He has scored a screamer from the edge area all ready and is always involved in the build up to goals in the games that he has played.

Ezekiel Fryers - Not developed from the first season.

Mats Moller Daehli - Have not used much due to his age but in the games he has played he has passed the ball well. He is developing nicely.

Robbie Brady - Wanted to use him in the second season but he keeps getting injured which is stopping his development. He will spend the second half of the 2nd in the 1st team squad to see how he develops.

Sean McGinty - Have not used much due to his age but has featured in a couple of games. Needs to play on a regular basis to improve so will be looking to loan him next year.

Will Keane - Have not used much due to his age put looks composed in front of goal when played (Blackpool FA Cup). Looking to loan him next year.

Ravel Morrison - Has not developed as quickly as Pogba or Cleverley but I want to keep him around as I think their is quality their. I will be looking to loan him next season so he gets a lot of games under his belt.

Oliver Norwood - Has not developed as quickly as Pogba or Cleverley but I want to keep him around as I think he has good ability. Plus he is a great passer and good FK taker which is a bonus. He will spend the second half of the 2nd in the 1st team squad to see how he develops.

Ryan Tunnicliffe - Has not developed that much from the start. He will spend the second half of the 2nd in the 1st team squad to see how he develops.

I hope this helps.
Yeh that helps alot, turns out some of mine aren't as far off yours as I thought then, I agree norwood has good ability but it never shown through for me so I sold him and brady as well because he was always injured. I am surprised about Fryers seeing as in real life he looks a good player, but I guess not everything can be replicated.

Again well done in getting them to develope and looking forward to see how far you can the the Red Devils and if you can accomplish your objectives.
League Game – Birmingham A

4-2-3-1
Line Up - David de Gea, Rafael, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Fábio, Paul Pogba, Tom Cleverley, Nani, Wayne Rooney, Mario Götze, Javier Hernández
Subs Used –Darren Fletcher, Ryan Giggs, Dany Welbeck

Conceded a goal quite early and struggled to create any chances so I took off Pogba, Nani and Hernández and replaced them with Fletcher, Giggs and Welbeck (I moved Götze in the centre and switched Rooney to the AML position) and it paid off as in the 82 minute Welbeck crossed to Rooney who scored with a header. Götze then played a lovely through ball and Rooney then smashed it into the top corner. Welbeck then rounded Foster and scored a great solo goal. Welbeck then crossed another ball into the box for Rooney to complete his hat trick. So in 8 Minutes managed to score 4 goals.
I know this is a stupid question but how do you upload pictures of the game screen onto this website. Nice story by the way

Fair Enough. @ Godman How many British players are currently in your first team. I allways try to keep at least 3 in the first team if i am in the Barclays Premier

I have - Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Danny Welbeck, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher, Kyle Walker and Ra'vel Morrison.
Champions League 1st Knockout Round Leg 1 – Lyon A

4-5-1 1st Half
4-2-3-1 2nd Half
Line Up - David de Gea, Rafael, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Jordi Alba, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher, Anderson, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Wayne Rooney
Subs Used – Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernández

Went behind when Michel Bastos scored. A mistake at the back then allowed Jimmy Briand to score. So in the second half I altered the formation and in the 77 minute Götze scored to set up an interesting finish. Then in the 88 minute Götze found Rooney who found the back of the net. I am happy with how my team responded and I take two away goals into the home leg.

4-2-3-1
Line Up - Anders Lindegaard, Rafael, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Jordi Alba, Darren Fletcher, Anderson, Eden Hazard, Mario Götze, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck

A good solid 3-0 win with goals from Fletcher, Hazard and Rooney. Also Welbeck had another good game creating a couple of chances for other players.
