Champions League QTR Final Leg 1 – Bayern Munich H
4-2-3-1
Line Up - David de Gea, Fábio Chris Smalling, Nemanja Vidić, Jordi Alba, Darren Fletcher, Phil Jones, Nani, Eden Hazard, Ashley Young, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Jonny Evans, Kyle Walker, Danny Welbeck
Kléber scored after 20 minutes to give Bayern the lead. Then after 35 minutes Jones made a strong run into the box and slotted home the equalizer. In the second half Bayern started putting pressure on my defence as they needed to score twice to go through and Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry were causing problems. So I took off Nani and Young and replaced them with Evans (who played at LB) and Walker (who played at RB) and pushed up Alba (who played at LM) and Fábio (who played at RM) to stop them and it worked as the game ended up 1-1.
I will now face Liverpool as they beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-1 on aggregate. Arsenal also beat Bayer Leverkusen on penalties after their game ended 2-2 on aggregate and set up a semi final with Barcelona who beat city 3-0 on aggregate.

Guys I have a question:
In my FM12 game I manage Manchester United, I use the 4-2-4 (4 defencem 2 mid, 2 wing and 2 strikers). Everytime I use this formation vs big teams e.g. Liverpool, Chelsea etc I seem to win if it's at home, especially vs Liverpool (6-2, 4-0, 5-1 etc) but in away games my team often struggle using this formation sometimes even losing to weaker teams e.g. Fulham (4-1), does anyone know how why this happens? Is it just because the players get more support at home and play well and has less support when away and play worse or is there some sort bug?

Only a small suggestion, but perhaps your lining up to offensively in away games? Maybe you should try toning down the attacking play and playing more counter-attacking football. That way you won't over commit when going forward and therefore will not be so vulnerable in defence.
Really interested in the development in Carlos Fierro since he's been dubbed as the next Hernandez. Can you post his stats to see how well he has developed? If so thxs a lot
@Tom_BcFC
I use the same tactics at home and away vs Liverpool, I start with standard, at home my team dominates so I change to attack. When away my team can't seem to pass, dribble and tackle, so I resort to defensive strategies with counter attacks.
FA Cup Semi Final – Everton – Wembley
Against Everton I will be resting a couple of players, as some of them need a break, they are Fábio (32 Games) Jones (41 Games) Smalling (38 Games) and Hazard (31 Games). Also with Walker cup tied I will be given Michael Keane his first start of the season at RB.
4-2-3-1
Line Up - David de Gea, Michael Keane, Jonny Evans, Nemanja Vidić, Jordi Alba, Anderson, Darren Fletcher, Nani, Tom Cleverley, Ashley Young, Javier Hernández
Subs Used – Danny Welbeck, Mateo Kovacic, Gerard Deulofeo
The game stared slowly but then in the 13 minute, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov was at the end of an Séamus Coleman cross and he put Everton ahead. Then a great bit of skill by Nani on the right made Joseph Yobo score an own goal. In the second half Alba and Everton’s Gabriel Heinze were both sent off for two bookable offences. So the game ended up 1-1 and went into extra time when Cleverley (who I moved to LB) was sent off after getting a second yellow. So I ended the game with 9 men and it went to penalties. Unfortunately Welbeck missed the third spot kick and Everton went through 4-5 (Everton scorers Hugo Rodallega, Leighton Baines, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, Magaye Gueye and Phil Neville. United scores were Nani, Fletcher, Deulofeo and Kovacic).

I would go with a three men in the centre and play on the counter.

League Game –Wolves H
4-4-2
Line Up - David de Gea, Kyle Walker, Rio Ferdinand, Scott Wootton, Jonny Evans, Gerard Deulofeo, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Oliver Norwood, Robbie Brady, Javier Hernández, Michael Owen
Subs Used – Paul Pogba, Ryan Giggs, Carlos Fierro
A tight game and I decided to rest a couple of players and two of the replacements stared they were Norwood and Brady. Norwood played an excellent ball through to Brady who smashed it into the top corner to give me a 1-0 win. Hopefully next year Norwood and Brady will be the next graduates into the first team next season.
League Game – Liverpool A
4-2-3-1
Line Up - David de Gea, Kyle Walker, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Jordi Alba, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher, Nani, Eden Hazard, Robbie Brady, Javier Hernández

I decided to stick with Brady due to his last performance and again he grabbed the only goal in a 0-1 victory. A lovely move that included Nani, Hernández and Hazard allowed Brady to score a powerful effort.
