fuck me, awesome job dude! i'll say barcelona?
Quite a coincidence.

I had a run with Sociedad for 8 seasons in this game and found it was time to move on. I really fancied Liverpool but Slaven Bilic had the job and just the year before brought in the first league title in 30 years so I didn't have high hopes. However Real Madrid fired their manager and Bilic was didn't waste any time swooping in for the open job... allowing me to claim the open spot at Liverpool.

Just saying you never know what happens. Liverpool could still be yours.

Great story by the way.

Thanks, I'm proud of it, but let me tell you one thing, I'll NEVER go to that ratinfested sect regardless of how good they are and how much they offer me...

Well it does seem that some coaches is destined for certian clubs in the game... anyhow, we all know football is a game where everything could happen, but as I said, I'm not getting my hopes up atm... but one day, I will lead them to a treble!

some players are destined to certain clubs. hulk from porto always goes to chelsea,etc.. one question, once you reach a certain year and age, could your manager die? i mean, 2100 is a unrealistic year to be playing but could that hapen? i mean, your managewr would have more than a 100 years xD

ratinfested* my bad! anyway, point being I don't like them, but I guess you got that...
Well a third offer came to the table making one from England, one from Italy and the latest from Spain. As I've mentioned earlier most of the job has been done by me predecessors setting up the network and such, all I've done is add my tactic developed in Africa and picked the cream out of the vaste amount of talent presented to me by them scoutingteam
england i'd say man utd or arsenal, italy 'id say juventus. but we'll never know :p
With a bang!

I thought we could manage to squeeze through, but I never imagined crushing Real Madrid 4-0 with a team from a leauge ranked outside the top 20 (below Liga Anderlante, the second leauge in Spain... how ironic and fucked up is this world of football?...)

Here's the semis matchup:

In the spirit of reflecting about the financial aspects of football (something I've atleast tried over the last couple of posts), I decided to check out the financial state of the topteir in Europe... what I found was kinda' terrifing!

How the hell can a team that hasn't won anything of significanse in ten years be worth as much as the combined top three of the most prestigeous leauge in the world!? Looking at this I've got another mission in mind other than winning it all with 'Pool (not saying that I'm not going to 'Pool if a chanse presents itself, but since it's not an option atm...), removing the moneysucking giants from the throne of Spain!

Also, as you can see, despite the great buissness we've been doing latly, we're not even in the top20, in fact we're not even in the top 30 with our ~€110mil evaluation...

The last interesting observation I've made from the list is that the offer I'm the most tempted by, is from a club who places itself way below us here at Anderlecht on the chart, worth "only" €75mil... doesn't it sound like my dream job? ;)

well enough blabbering for now, it's time to take the capital of GB!
Effortless

Doesn't need a comment.

Heartbroken

It's been some time since my last setback, I guess it adds to this horrific blow!

Of course we were underdogs, but no one really thought Arsenal was gonna' be here either, so once we dominated the homeleg and left the park with a 3-1 victory we might have gotten carried away with ourselves. Of course I could have done something different with the line-up for the awayleg to change the outcome, but this is a game of chanse, even if I change something to the seemingly obvious worse you'll never know how it'll effect the outcome after 90 minutes of play.

The dissapointment is obvious, sure it's still something to be immensly proud of, but getting so close just makes it feel worse! I was so looking forward to take on those catalan bastards and stealing their most important triumph!

Well, well while I put on a brave face for the lads and cry myself to sleep tonight I'm trying to move on, both figuratively and literally. We've got the Belgian Cup-final against Brugge coming up as well as some improtant WC-quals with my France-side (I've mentioned them right?), but most of all I have some offers to review and a near future to setlle.
can't wait to see which team you'll choose ;)
Every lovestory has its end

I'm honestly sad about leaving, but it's time to move on, I only wish I would have ended things better...

I've been going on about my pride of this project, so I'm not gonna' bore you by elaborating futher about it. It's been great and I wish all the fans, staff and players all the luck in the world!

Now it's on to the next project, and the candidates are:

I've also got some offers that I've postponed a week so all'n'all my options are:

- Man United (wagebudget €1.9mil/w trasferkitty €24mil)
- Napoli (wagebudget €1.5mil/w trasferkitty €7.8mil)
- Valencia (wagebudget €825k/w trasferkitty €24mil)
- Juventus (wagebudget €2mil/w trasferkitty €10.5mil)
- Porto (wagebudget €800k/w trasferkitty €13mil)

The logical option would ofcourse be Juve or United, however I'm not a fan of living on arab oilmoney (read Juve) and if I'm going to England it's either going to be a very special deal (which this is close of being though) or the club at me heart - Liverpool. Out of the other clubs Porto aren't really that interesting, they play in a small (somewhat) leauge and aren't superior to Anderlecht money-, arena- or moneywise. Valencia would give me the chanse to take on the titans Real and Barca, but with their lack of funds I'm not sure if it's possible in the kind of timewindow I'm aming at. You might think this only leaves Napoli because of ruling out the other clubs, but their current (2012 irl) side are amongst my favourites, and having San Paolo as my basecamp is nothing short of a dream. The team has enough money to attract stars but also provides room for developing yougsters. The only big con here is the restriction of importing non-EU players from South America, which, as you know, is a speciality of mine... So after taking all of this into concideration, along with some other things I didn't have the energy to write about, I've decided to take on Maradonas herritage, on with the renaissance!
Tricky business

I figured bigger budget would equal easier preseasonwork, boy was I wrong!

The success story of Anderlecht was based upon intense scouting of Africa and South America in order to unearth rough diamonds and perfecting them, creating a well oiled exotic machine, but the retarded rules of Italy prevents this.

The rules state that you can only buy two non-EU citizens from outside of Italy. I can understand the idea in one way, but forcing you to play more italian natives would be far more effective than the current rule to enhance Italian football. I didn't become less pissed by the fact that the previous coach had signed two halfassed bosmen to fill the qoute for this season...

Now that I was forced to turn my sights souley on Europe I got a brute awakening on just how inflated the European world of football is. I honestly don't think this team is as good as my Anderlechtside YET, but in time I'll hopefully get there, I've got no plans on leaving this place without a Scudetto.

So this is the basic layout of my team right now and the transfers I've made:

Just read you Revenge of the Bloods story which was incredible! I didn't think you could get a better story until I started reading this story! How come your stories are so amazing! Keep going mate
