Breaking News

England appoint Blick as manager

The English Football Association have named Manchester City boss Craig Blick as the new national coach.

With blick set to divide his time between club and country,it remains to be seen whether a conflict of interests will emerge or whether he will cope with the additional pressure.

Due to acceepting the England post he has rejected the France National Post
England Press Conference

Journalist( : There is alot of pressure on national managers hit the ground running and produce the result from the off. Are you confident that you will be able to get a good start as manager of England.

Blick: I have confidence that we can hit the ground running.

Journalist(BBC Radio 5 Live): The pressures of managing at international level are enormous and this is reflected by the huge media interest that surrounds both team and manager. That's a lot of pressure to handle, are you upto it?

Blick: I wouldn't of taken the job if i didn't have complete confidence in my ability to handle the pressures.

Journalist( In taking this job, you add considerably to what must be a hectic schedule. Are you confident in handling a duel role of both club and country

Blick: It'll be a lot of hard work but I've never shied away from that and don't intend to start now!

Journalist: Some people have suggested that you may be likely to call upon some of your Man City players for Egland duty, What is your response to this?

Blick: I would rather not discuss this currently

Journalist( While some managers are famous for their hands-on approach, others maintain a more reserved manner with their players. How do you see your management style?

Blick: I want ever player to know that they can come to me with anything

Journalist(Sky Sports News): What would you say is your tactical approach to the game?

Blick: It all depends on the situation. There are so many variables in football that to have just one approach would be irresponsible.

Journalist(KiCK! Magazine): Will you be looking to change captain or allow John Terry to continue?

Blick: For now,John will remain in the post, but we'll see how that goes.

Journalist( There are concerns among the press regarding the high number of England plaayers who are getting on in terms of age. Will you be persisting with these players for the forseeable future, or will you be looking to blood some younger talent?

Blick: There's some remarkable young talent in this country and I can't wait to give some of the players a chance to show what they can do.

Journalist(Sky Sports News): It has been suggested that you will be selecting your squads based more on player reputation than performance. What are your thoughts on that?

Blick: I would pick a completely unknown player if he performs well enough.

Journlist( In the modern era players are put under greater demands by the sheer numbers of matches they play for their clubs, Will you be looking to develop a positive relationship with other managers in order to find ways to prevent players "burning out" when on international duty?

Blick: I have a job to do and I will select the players I believe give us the best chance of winning. It's that simple.

Journalist(KiCK! Magazine): Wayne Rooney is widely regarded to be key to any future success that the England national team may have. With that in mind, do you intend to build your England team around Rooney's talents and are you looking for ways to bring the best out of him?

Blick: Wayne is a wonderful talent and of course, any manager lucky enough to work with him would do everything in their power to maximise his effectiveness.
well done good luck for the future with them
Was it hard to leave man city but since you done so well with them?
he hasn't left Man City ;)
oh ha :O
how are you both? :/ ;)
you can manage a club and a country at the same time on FM.
is it difficult coping the club and the national team?
does it lifts any problems with the players?
please answer as in my boro save, i got asked to manage england u21 and turn it down because of this doubts :s
it doesnt have any affect on the players in my experience anyway.

as long as you are willing to put the effort into both teams it shouldnt really mattter
Thanks for all the comments guys!

Been very busy so not been able to update!

Update is coming up next, and I don't think there will be a conflict between Club and Country, also I'm not going to be biased and pick my players over others, I will go on who I think is good enough, I will also be looking at bringing up some from U21's as some of my players are into there 30's now and I can see who I will be replacing them with!

When I was Italy manager I didn't have any trouble doing this as they were a completely different country and I hardly had any Italians in my squad apart from Balotelli and Cambi.

Transfer News
Arsenal offer Lucas Leiva to Manchester City and AC Milan for £18million.
Both clubs are interested in taking this offer and accept Arsenal proposal and place the bid

After long negotiations with both clubs, Lucas has agreed personal terms with Manchester City signing on £70,000p/w on a 4 year contract.

This signing will help very much as I lost Yaya Toure for 4 months so Lucas will be taking that place along side Jack Wilshere in my middle pairing

Other Transfer News:
Mateo Mussachio has completed his £5million move to PSG, he was surplus to requirements as he was underachieving when playing games for me, I wish him all the best in the future and hoping he doesnt make me reject selling him and become a top defender!
Dude how did you buy Wilshere? I wanna buy him too but Arsenal won't sell and even if they would I don't think he will accept my contract offer.

Chelsea 3 Manchester City 2

My first fail of the season losing to tough opponents Chelsea in the Community Shield, it was an incredible game, back and forth for the full 90 minutes, and its ashame we lost 3-2, but my main priority is the Premier League! and finally winning my unlucky trophy The UEFA Champions League, every season I have been so close to getting that, but lost out in Final,Semi-Final and Quarter Final respectively,
But congratulations to Chelsea for winning the game.
Awesome ! I'm pretty sure I remember that Dantuma kid from the 2010 version. He was DC and German if I don't remember wrongly :)
