This was a game were I really felt that our luck wasn't in and when Godin was sent off I already accepted a draw. But when Keita sent a free kick towards Welbeck he turned his man and slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the net I felt we got what we deserved. Luis Perea made it 2 when a corner was headed back out and Welbeck crossed it back in to the feet of Perea who was unmarked and smashed it past the keeper. As I said we deserved to win this game because we had 17 shots and 56% possession.

In a game that we needed to win to climb to 2nd in the league I was very confident of a good win. Just 1 minute into the game Welbeck passed the ball into Balotelli's feet then he turned his man and smashed it into the top corner. On the 57th minute Nsue crossed for Mallorca and Castro hit a right footed volley into the bottom corner to equalize. Unfortunately the game stayed this way as we started to snatch at our chances and we didn't finish any. I am very disappointed with this game as we had 56% possession and had 15 shots when they only had 3.

In this cup game against a team low down in the lower leagues I was hoping they didn't cause an upset. Just 5 minutes into the game after some great passing on the right wing Pizzi swung a cross in to the back post where Balotelli was waiting to head home. Just minutes later Keita collected the ball 25 yards out and unleashed a curling effort into the top corner leaving the keeper with no chance. A couple of minutes late it was 3-0 as Dominguez headed onto the bar but the rebound hit Etxebarrieta on the back a went in the back of the net. On the 21st minute Balotelli got his 2nd with a glancing head after a great cross from Filipe. Dominguez got the goal he was denied before when we headed a Balotelli corner into the top corner. Our only goal of the 2nd half came from a great pass from Keita to put Pizzi one on one and he smashed it past the keeper. Ubis then got his first ever goal for Amorebieta when he got past Godin and slipped a shot under Courtois. We were very dominate in this game as the scoreline suggests and had 56% possesion we had 23 shots and maybe we could of scored more than 6. I was disappointed to concede but I can't really see them scoring 5 goals in the 2nd leg.

This is a really good story. Keep it up! Balotelli played well for me in that position for Napoli, scored 15 league goals in 28, loaned him again next season and scored 17. Won me the league with Cavani and Lavezzi!

The 2nd of the game then came when a brilliant cross from Kyle Walker towards the 6 yard box was turned in by Turan. Diego then took a free-kick and delivered it into the back post perfectly for Godin to head home. After getting an assist Diego then got a goal for himself after he smashed it into the top corner from 25 yards out. Zaragoza then got a consolation goal through Abraham after a double save from Courtois fell straight to his feet.Apono then got sent off for Zaragoza in the 89th minute and they had to finish the match with 10 men. The possession finished 56%-44% to us and we had 17 shots with 9 hitting the target. Also on the 53rd minute Walker picked up an injury which will keep him out for 5-6 days. Going into this game I was hoping to get a big score against the team bottom of our group with no points. When Diego collect the ball from Tiago 20 yards out and smashed a shot into the bottom corner just 4 minutes it looked like thats what we were going to get. Gaziantepspor didn't agrre though and they made just wait till the 33rd minute for our 2nd goal which came a great dribble from Welbeck before he smashed it across the keeper into the far corner. 4 minutes after the break Filipe got a goal after a Tiago shot hit him on the back and wrong footed the keeper. 2 minutes later Gaziantepspor pulled one back after a great cross from Binya was headed in by Popov. Diego then took advantage of defensive error to score when Ivan played the ball straight into his feet for him to finish calmly. Substitute Adrian showed why he should start more often with a messi like chip over the advancing keeper after a good pass from Tiago. The only bad part of the game came after Perea was shown a straight red card for a stupid tackle in Popov.Thanks for reading and after the next league game I will be posting a couple of screenshots of the squad , league table etc.
