Very disappointed to be out of the FA Cup at this stage. The team was rotated and the players that came in did not perform well enough.

We've done it! This is the club's first Carling Cup since 1976. Amongst the recent dip in form we turned in brilliant performance and the players were magnificent all over the park today. Yaya Toure scored from close range after 11 minutes, Samir Nasri struck a sweet shot from the edge of the box on 17 minutes and James Milner then made it 3 - 0 on 43 minutes with a simple tap in after Carlos Tevez had his shot saved by Tim Howard. All in all, a great day for the club and it's supporters.

The press are now talking about the safety of my job and another defeat could decide it. We have had some great moments during the season but equally we have had some poor results. We are currently fourth in the league with a game in hand but a club like Manchester City should be up there. Watch this space.
