2012/13 Season Review
So the season finally came to a close and once again we had a pretty good season. We manage to retain our Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup and the latest was the Champions League trophy. This season we also brought in new trophies, the Community Shield, European Super Cup and Club World Championship Cup. In short we have secured all the trophies for this season.
Our season start with the Community Shield against Man City and after that was the start of the new Premier League season. We had a good start to the Premier League winning several games and a couple of draws. This season was a bit challenging as we have to keep our pace with Arsenal who was constantly leading in the league table and with our extra matches
(involvement in the Club World Championship) we have to swap the players to prevent fatigue and what I did was to include the youngsters in some matches. Our matches against our rivals was quite pleasing as we manage to win 6 wins, a draw and a lose. Our greatest victory was against Liverpool where we won 6-1 at Old Trafford.
As for our cup matches, we had our ups and downs. We had to rely on penalties against Bolton
(won 5-4) in the 4th Round but it was smooth sailing up to the final. In the FA Cup, we met Chelsea in the 4th round
(won narrowly, 1-0) but we were handed a difficult task against Everton in the 6th Round where we had to play for a replay. To be honest, we were lucky to avoid defeat and an exit in the competition as Ben-Haim scored an own goal. In the Champions League, we beat Man City and Arsenal to meet Barcelona once again and as it happened, we won in extra-time.
This season, I have achieved my aim in loaning my youngsters which bears a positive results. Ravel Morrison, Federico Macheda, Robbie Brady, Sam Johnstone, Scott Wootton and Ryan Tunnicliffe were all out on loan to various club. Federico Macheda and Ryan Tunnicliffe were the only two who are still on loan and will be returning back soon.
Our legendary midfielder, Ryan Giggs on the other hand has announce his retirement at the end of this season. It has been a great career journey for Giggs who joined Man Utd in July 1990 and he has made a total of 629 league appearances and scoring 110 goals. Giggs will retire on 22nd June 2013.
So overall I rate this season as

, similar as last season and my outstanding player for this season goes to Javier Hernandez.
