Manchester United came back from a goal down to win 2-1 with Berbatov scoring the match winner. Manchester United were behind in the early minute when Neven Subotic put the ball into his own goal. Manchester United got their equaliser after Cesar Azpilicueta pump up the ball to Sanogo who then found Wayne Rooney in an acre of space and Rooney did not made any mistake by slotting the ball into the open goal. Both teams were then looking for the lead but it was never a threat to both goalkeepers.

Just as the fans thought that the match would settle for a draw, Dimitar Berbatov who came on for Hernandez scored the winning goal. Wayne Rooney found Berbatov who managed to skip pass his own marker and cool as u like Berbatov put the ball into the bottom right corner pass through goalkeeper Christian Abbiati.

A good come back and a good start to the Champions League.

I decided to rest my key players and have the youngsters experience some first team football. It turn out well with Jonny Evans scoring two goals both from a corner but the night went out to William Clancy as he made an impressive start to his Manchester United career by providing two assist to Evans goal. Luke McCullough also made his Manchester United debut in the match.

Manchester United took over the lead once again when a miscommunication between Daniel Agger and Jose Manuel Reina allowed Wayne Rooney to seize the opportunity and score a well executed finish.

From then on it was United's way with Dirk Kuyt scoring an own goal and Phil Jones completed the rout minutes before full-time.
