And if on cue, after we re-assemble for our pre-season training and friendlies, who do you think would waltz in and say that they have concerns about their remuneration but bl**dy Brandon Barkhuizen.

I'm disappointed with the prospects in the open market, with a Zimbabwean being the best of them. Scouts feel that although he'd fail the initial WP, it'd stand a chance of being accepted on appeal.

The stumbling block is the 170K price tag.

Off to the loan market I go.....
Barkhuizen has been given the hairdryer treatment and has backed down for now, but given his wage demands to sign a contract extension the writing is on the wall and I may be best to try and off load him now.

What is worse is I tried to get him to tutor Bobbs, and after having to talk Barkhuizen into it, Bobbs spat the dummy!
Back at the World Cup, the Germans advance on penalties again Spain, as if to say it's anyone's game.

Brandon Barkhuizen’s number is definitely up. Twice in four days he has been in my office to complain about his salary, and twice he has high tailed it back out after apologizing, but it shows intent. Even though he is happy now, I can’t help but think the next argument is mere days away. I would have expected more from my clubs vice captain.

I have a couple of targets on the horizon, but nothing concrete yet and all the players are foreign so carry the WP lottery issue. If I have too, I’ll play Bobbs and my development player at right back, as there is no way I am dealing with this type of behaviour.
After Germany's luck at the penalty spot ran out, Brazil will meet Ghana in the World Cup Final....

Offers have been made and accepted for Hammers, Mamphita, and Matsimbi.

Wait and see what happens now but can only hope that it sends a message that no one is bigger than the club.
Orlando Pirates have signed 2013/14 NFD Player of the Season Philani Khwela for a fee of 275K, from Tuks.
Some great news, Doctor Matsimbi has agreed to move to Amazulu for 35K. I was puzzled by the comment which appeared in the feed which said that playing African Confederation Cup Football was a major factor.

The best finish I can see in any competition recently for the club was as runner up to the SA FA Cup in 2013. Does that mean that the runners up also are eligible for the competition, and if so, how long does the eligibility last?

Thirty three year old goalkeeper Mamphita has been offered and accepted a year long contract on GBP575 as a backup for PSL league side Maritzburg United.

Interestingly, he didn't play a solitary game for us after arriving on a free transfer in 2012/13, but we are 14K better off for the deal.

EDIT: Screenshot - YAY.

There is major interest from four clubs in right back Barkhuizen, but no contract offers have been tabled yet. I am asking for a reasonable 30K and 10% of future sales, but the important thing for me is just to be rid of him.
World Cup Final where Ghana got a fair old thrashing....should we be surprised?

France and Italy are looking for new National Managers, after both countries failed to make it out of pool play.

It's a bit too soon for me, but best of luck to whomever takes the challenges!

Ha! Ghana have set a new World Cup record for ill discipline with 19 yellow and two reds during the tournament. They "beat" the previous record holder, er, Brazil, who had 22 yellow and one red.

Not sure that is a record I'd be shouting from the rooftops!
Sponsorship Monies

Just read something comparing the sponsorship levels of the NFD teams.

Bloem Celtic, who finished nearly last, but have an incredible profile and home attendance records were raking in 210K per year.

The average was about 95K and the worst, beaten playoff finalists Batau Killers FC whom were only pulling 35K.

Should I then moan about our arrangement (tied to 2016) of 69.55K??
Dynamos are on the up....within South African footballing circles!
