Viking players recieves awards

Henri Anier was named as both Top Scorer and Player of the Year in Norway for the 2014 season. He scored a total of 31 goals in 24 matches.

Trond Erik Bertelsen was named as Defender of the Year. In 23 matches, he had a total of amazing 23 assists.

Viking manager Henrik Steinnes was awarded with the Manager of the Year award for his amazing season with Viking.

Can Viking get their third consecutive title? Will Henri Anier leave the club?
Please comment :-)

Ajax approaches Steinnes

Now I'm a bit insecure. Should I accept it or should I decline it and continue with Viking?

Leave a comment on what you think.
always nice to see Nevland...
how many goals is he scoring?

We have qualified for the knock-out stages, and as group winners!

Sadly for us, we have drawn Zenit St. Petersburg

Can we make it passed Zenit?
Please comment :-)
Wow, that two 5-1 victories was very impressive!
If you can beat Rubin and Panthinakos 5-1, I actually think you can beat Zenit.
Good Luck!!

Thanks, I will hopefully manage to beat them. Would be absolutely amazing if I did so!

We are through to the next knock-out round! The team put in a magnificent effort, and thanks to two away goals in Russia, we were able to get through.

In the 2nd knock-out stage we are going to play against Granada

Steinnes leaves Iceland U21s after just one month in charge

Henrik Steinnes has left Iceland U21s after just one match. Iceland won the match 3-1 against Luxembourgs U21s.

Steinnes left the post after Ivory Coast approached him for the role as their new manager.

How will I do it against Granada? Can I get through to the quarter-finals?
Please comment :-)
Granada become good with their regens, so you should be careful and not take them lightly. With that said, your win against Zenit is very impressive and you should be through to the QFs.
Ivory Coast to win World Cup?
Riski, is it Roope or Riku Riski?

Great result against Zenit, keep it up.

I will of course not underestimate them, but I had a lucky draw as I didn't have to play against Real Madrid, Juventus and Everton to mention some teams.

Hopefully I can go far with Ivory Coast as well, and mabye win a WC title.

Thanks!

It is Roope Riski.

Well its going very slowly as after the birth of my 1st child recently times been something I dont have but im nearing the end of my 1st season and currently 1st by 3points over Molde. But the whole league is so tight there is no room for a slip in form.

Loving it though. Just wish I had more time to progress it further.

Congrats on your child!

The Norwegian league is indeed very tight, and it has been so for the last years, and this year as well. One loss can get a team dropping from 4th place to 8th place.

Well I finally finished my first season. Managed to get a few hours in last night as the weekend ended and won my first title. Finished 8 points clear of Molde in the end. I see what you mean though about being tight in the league. I thought I was running away with the league then I suffered my 1st loss in charge of Viking and suddenly there was 3 points in it! Luckily Everyone else messed up with 2 games left and I won the league without even playing lol.

The odd registration rule certainly helped me in my run in. Ive got 4 centre backs currently. My 2 regular centre backs are my captain and vice captain respectively and been solid throughout the season. I have 1 back up centre back and a fairly decent youth prospect 1 (all other youth centre backs are nowhere near the standard needed for 1st team football.) Suddenly at the most vital stage of the season my 2 first choice centre backs go down injured for minimum of 2 months and my youth centre back gets injured as well.

Left with only 1 Centre back to get me over the finish line I was able to sign a Brazilian Centre back by the name of Tiago Prado on a free transfer, tinker with my registered squad to allow another over seas player by unregistering a unrequired one.

Im now keeping an eye out for any Home grown talent that isnt more than £200k and wondering how i'll strengthen my squad for the next season when really all my board can afford to give me for wages is £3000 p/w tops.

Loving the challenge though.

Well done on your continued success. Personally i'd be very tempted with the Ajax job! Its the kind of thing I hope to get offered when the times right. Dont want to jump straight to the Premier League.

I see you're doing well, and that good to see. That odd registation rule has helped me a lot as well, so thank God for that.

March update

Match of the month:

Will Brann be able to beat Viking when they travel down to what most likely will be a sold out Viking Stadion? Brann have had a good grip on Viking the last matches, but Henrik Steinnes' men will be looking for a victory.

What do you think about this month? How will my new signings do?
