Hello FM Scout! It is time to vote for your FM 12 Story of the Year!

Stam put together a team of judges to nominate the stories which we felt were the most deserving. The team put together is me, akash.vidyasagar, ejay and mdlp1991. We undertook some serious consideration over which stories we would nominate.

Here are the nominations and a quick background of their stories:

ejay's Arsenal - Road to glory
ejay started his story by completing a big money deal for Eden Hazard. He went on to record a stunning win against Real Madrid to bring the Champions League to the Emirates for the first time in their 126 year history. He also won the FA Cup that season. ejay has moved from strength-to-strength winning no less than one Champions League, one Europa League, one Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, two Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, three Carling Cups and one Community Shiled. A total of twelve trophies in eight seasons, a very impressive tally. His stand-out players were Abel Hernandez who bagged 115 goals in 182 appearances and became captain, Wilshere and Hazard who were inspirational scoring and creating goals.

Joannes3000's As the world turns
Joannes' story started in lovely Spain with Granada. They were a weak team in the Liga BBVA, a league which boasts Barcelona and Real Madrid. He quickly turned Granada in to a formidable side finishing 3rd in the league in just his first season while also reaching the semi-finals of the Cope del Ray. His seconde season was similar but it was Joannes3000's third season that saw a revolution happen. He won the league and cup double while reaching the Champions League semi-finals. The next season he won every competition possible, including the Spannish Super Cup. By then a new challenge awaited him and he moved to HSV of Germany. Joannes3000 did extraordinarily well to finish 3rd in the league, win the Europa League and the German Cup in his first season. Unfortunately, this is as far the story goes. In total, Joannes3000 won eight trophies in six seasons.

Godman's My Manchester United Story FM12
The first season did not start well as Godman's Manchester United lost to the blue side of Manchester in the Charity Shield on penalties. He turned his fortunes around to win both the league and FA Cup that season while also reaching the quarter finals of the Champions League, where Real Madrid were the victors. Godman also won the Bronze in the 2012 Olympics with Great Britain U-23s. Over the course of this story, Godman has won four league titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups, three Champions Leagues, three Club World Championships, three Charity Shields, three UEFA Super Cups and one Olympic (with Spain). This is a total of 23 trophies in five-and-a-half seasons, just phenominal! He really is Godman!

ChrisBorg's FM2012 - Chelsea Football Club
This story is based in the blue side of London. He started with creating some very original and complex tactics and signing the Chilean duo Isla and Vidal. His tactics paid dividends in the cup games winning both the FA Cup and the League Cup but he struggled to gain points in the league and finished seventh. ChrisBorg also reached the Europa League final where he lost on penalties to PSG. He also claimed an Olympic Silver Medal with Great Britain where Brazil won. With the likes of Fernando Torres and Eden Hazard proving to be world-class players, ChrisBorg's Chelsea side grew in strength over the next few years. He was starting to define his legacy as Chelsea manager. He won one Premier League, two FA Cups, five League Cups, one Champions Leagues, one Europa League, two Community Shields, one UEFA Super Cup and one Club World Championship. A total of fourteen trophies in eight seasons.

Walsall_Craig's Blue Moon Rising - My Manchester City Story
Another story from Manchester, only this time it is of a team in blue! Walsall_Craig started well winning the league and cup double in his first season. Next season Walsall_Craig could only win the league but this is still progress for a team only just making their name in the world of football. Walsall_Craig then got Italy to the World Cup 2014. Walsall_Craig has gone on to win four league titles, two FA Cups, one League Cup and two Charity Shields. A total of nine trophies in five seasons. Walsall_Craig's record says that his team performs well domestically but hasn't had the luck required to win the Champions League.

Ok guys, this poll will close the second that FM 13 is officially released so get voting!
Damn, i really can't choose, all of the stories are really good along with the people who write them :P
Ejay and his Arsenal - Road to glory

Has re-ignited my love for FM and all things related to FM. He has taken blogging about his managerial career of a football club on FM to new heights. His use of stats, videos and graphics along commical commentary on each highlight of every season, make this compelling and a must for anyone who loves FM. He has not dissapointed and is still going strong today in 2019.

Good luck Ejay and I hope you win, you deserve it for the continuing commitment to the cause.

I've not been biased and voted for myself as I know I had a good story as I wrote it, I have voted for Godman as I enjoyed this read,

the best fm12 story was from that guy from sweden.. sorry i dont remeber his name :D

he started in argentina, went to south africa, than won many things in anderlecht and then stopped..

that was epic ;)
i'm not gonna vote because i have better storys... like winning every game during 5/6 years strait!!
The challenge is on !! :)

My Vote goes to Godman :)
Where to submit stories?!

And regarding blogs - are they posted here on FMscout?

I've been playing football managing-games since '97 but is new to the whole blog-thingy-dingy, and I bet I can produce a good story or two ;) But I'm not gonna brag or put down the other stories, since I clearly haven't posted my own - yet!! Get it, Sergio?! Hehe..

What makes a good story Is usually not winning everything, think of what excites people in form of new challenges, new teams, a rollercoaster of events rather than just winning over and over again

@DehnDiller Go to forums and its the first option (its on every page...)
How are these stories chosen? Can't believe that these stories didn't make it: http://www.fmscout.com/q-6228-Beggars-cant-be-choosers.html by Kiwi or http://www.fmscout.com/q-6274-Exiled-in-a-Foreign-Land.html by akash.vidyasagar. There was also a Liverpool story by a guy (glen?) as well. All these were seriously good and better than the usual "ooh look at me, I signed Sime Vrsaljko and M'baye Niang and won the champions league".

No offence to the guys whose stories have been nominated but other than the writing style (i can't write for shit), there's not much else that stands out - no real challenge.

The stories chosen were nominated by a group of four judges, including akash himself! There were a lot of quality stories but unfortunately these three just missed out. And to be fair, a story is not bad if the writer signs two very popular players. It is his career and should only be judged on the story.

I never said those stories were bad .. I just said that I felt the others were better because they offered something different. Everyone is free to sign who they want, I have no problem with that - but I just find stories that deviate from the norm to be much more interesting.

I think there should be a seperate poll for "most challenging story".

I understand. And "most challenging story" might be a good idea for a forum. I'll talk it over with stam :)

Hello, Sniper. Thank you for including me in your list as one of the best stories of the year. I wouldn't consider myself to be a part of this list, simply because I didn't do enough in the game. I just abandoned it after the save got buggy. As for Kiwi, I would like to inform you that I personally contacted him for our "Hall of Fame" stories because he will be a part of it :) His story inspired a number of people to write a story, including myself. However, he is still in 2013-14 season in game and didn't have enough progress to be a story here. Although nominating him for the "Most challenging story" will be an honour, him being in the HoF will be much better, don't you think?
As for Glenn, he is a kid. He'll get his chance next year :D
