2012-10-28 07:50#68758 Glenn T : Good luck man!
Thanks Glen
2012-10-28 10:13#68767 ejay : looking very good with Aguero and Tevez lookinng like the ones bagging more consistent. Hope Nastasic evolves for you and becomes a first team player.

Yeah, they look good together, and if one isn't in the team, the other steps up and plays better (usually with Dzeko). Nastasic has looked good when I've played him this season, so as long as I keep him, I reckon he'll become a key player for me, with work.

Cup Update
Manchester City have been drawn at home to Blackburn Rovers in the Capital One Cup.

Manchester City 2-0 Arsenal
Manchester City (4-2-2-2/4-5-1 from HT): Hart, Maicon, Kompany, Lescott, Lahm, Y Toure, Fellaini, Nasri, Silva, Dzeko, Tevez

Subs Used: Milner for Tevez HT

Goals: Y Toure (12), Dzeko (33)

MOTM: Lescott (Man City)

We continued our great start to the season with an easy win over Arsenal at the Etihad, and moved two points clear in the league after United drew with Stoke. Dzeko came in for the injured Aguero, and always looked a threat. Lescott put in another good performance, and I thought he deserved a goal.I tried out another tactical system from half-time as I was getting overrun in midfield, and it worked, as I controlled most of the second half.

Transfer Update
Manchester City have announced that they are to sign youngster Adam Campbell from Newcastle United for around £600k. The transfer will go through on January 1st 2013.

There have also been loan signings going out of the club as well, Reece Wabara moving on loan to Yeovil Town, Eirik Johansen moving on loan to Stalybridge Celtic, Denis Suarez completing a loan move to Leyton Orient, and Alex Nimely signing for Portsmouth on loan.

Injury Update
Manchester City have received the news that Joleon Lescott has been injured whilst on international duty with England. He will be out for around six to seven weeks with a broken collarbone.

Manchester City will however be boosted by the return of Sergio Aguero from injury, and he should be fit for the next match.

Manchester City 3-0 Chelsea
Manchester City (4-2-2-2): Hart, Maicon, Kompany, K Toure, Lahm, Y Toure, Fellaini, Nasri, Silva, Tevez, Aguero

Subs Used: Dzeko for Aguero 63, Zabaleta for Tevez 80

Goals: K Toure (7), Tevez (67), Fellaini (90+1)

Injuries: Aguero (groin strain, 2-3 weeks)

Sent Off: Maicon (Manchester City, 80 minutes)

MOTM: Fellaini (Man City)

We got a very good result against another top side and with ten men as well. We controlled most of the game, even when Maicon was stupidly sent off for two bookings, and even managed to score again. We are looking very good in the league this season, no matter who we play. The only other downside is another injury to Aguero, although thankfully it is only for a couple of games.

Injury Update
Jack Rodwell will be out for about 3 weeks after sustaining a twisted ankle in a reserves match.

Manchester City 2-0 FC Basel
Manchester City: Hart, Maicon, Kompany, Nastasic, Lahm, Y Toure, Fellaini, Nasri, Silva, Sinclair, Tevez.

Subs Used: Milner for Y Toure 76

Goals: Y Toure (27), Tevez (61)

MOTM: Kompany (Man City)

With a fairly tough group in the Champions League, we needed to pick up maximum points from this game, and although billed as a close match, we dominated and should have scored more. Due to some players not being registered, and some being injured, I shuffled the pack a bit, and it shows depth, having won with a weaker team. We are currently top of the group, and have Feyenoord away next.

Liverpool 0-2 Manchester City
Manchester City (4-2-2-2): Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Lahm, Y Toure, Fellaini, Nasri, Silva, Tevez, Sinclair

Subs Used: Dzeko for Sinclair 73, K Toure for Nastasic 83, Balotelli for Tevez 90

Goals: Tevez (18), Reina OG (22)

MOTM: Hart (Man City)

Liverpool have been struggling in the league, and were sitting second bottom of the league, but somehow they were considered favourites. Nevertheless, we took the game by the scruff of the neck, and came away with a well-earned three points. We fielded the same side as in mid-week (because I forgot to change it back to normal), but still won at a tough ground, showing great squad depth at the club.

Manchester City 3-0 Blackburn (Capital One Cup 3rd Round)
Manchester City (4-2-2-2): Hart, Zabaleta, K Toure, Nastasic, Clichy, Y Toure, Milner, Ben Arfa, Silva, Dzeko, Balotelli

Subs Used: Kompany for Ben Arfa 69, Fellaini for Milner 76, Lahm for K Toure 76

Goals: Nastasic (45+1), Ben Arfa (64), Dzeko (85)

MOTM: Silva (Man City)

After a few tough games, we had what should have been an easy cup game at home to Championship side Blackburn Rovers. It was, and yet again we played a weakened side. We left it a while to score but we were ahead at half-time, and Nastasic and Ben Arfa also managed to get their first City goals in the match. A pleasing performance and we’re into the next round.

Cup Update
After the pleasing victory over Blackburn, City have been handed another home tie, this time against Southampton.

Wigan 0-1 Manchester City
Manchester City (4-2-2-2): Hart, Maicon, Kompany, K Toure, Lahm, Y Toure, Fellaini, Nasri, Sinclair, Dzeko, Tevez

Subs Used: Silva for Sinclair 82, Zabaleta for Fellaini 82, Milner for Y Toure 82

Goals: Tevez (71)

MOTM: Kompany (Man City)

Wigan are doing well in the league this year, but we should still have recorded an easy win, but we made it tough for ourselves and left it late to win. We got the win in the end though, Tevez popping up with another goal, and giving us a perfect month. We are sitting very comfortably, clear at the top of the league, with six wins out of six.

League Table

Top of the league by four points, great start to the season.
Great month. Doing well to be sitting atop the table. I'm backing you to stay there all season long.
6 from 6! Great start, keep it up blue!
6 games, 6 wins, 16 points - looks like City are staying top ;)
Could I get a list of all your players' wages, please?
