OSPINA DEAL COMPLETED

Colombia international goalkeeper, David Ospina is granted a work permit to sign for Villa in July on a free tranfer from French club, OGC Nice.
FA CUP ROUND 3

"It was a terrific performance from the lads today, Alan Dzagoev was brilliant and I'm pleased to have bagged another couple. Not many teams come to the Emirates and get anything, so credit to the boys and the gaffer."
Darren Bent

CAPITAL ONE CUP SEMI FINAL - FIRST LEG

In the other semi final, QPR beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates.

Villa are at home to Fulham next in the league.
VILLA MOVE UP TO 7TH

A good run of games consisiting of a 2-2 draw with Fulham and 1-0 and 2-0 wins over Reading and Newcastle move Villa up to 7th in the Premiership.

CAPITAL ONE CUP SEMI FINAL

"Huddersfield are a credit to the Championship, they battled to the end but we were too strong over the two legs and the players and myself are ecstatic to be in the final!!"
Jason Connolly

FINAL SCORE: HUDDERSFIELD 2-3 VILLA (VILLA WIN 6-3 ON AGGREGATE)

Arsenal over turn a first leg defeat in the other Capital One Cup Semi to beat QPR 2-0 at Loftus Road. The Gunners qualify for the final with a 3-2 victory on aggregate.

FA CUP ROUND 4

Villa destroy Blackpool 5-2 in the F.A. Cup 4th Round thanks to braces apiece from Darren Bent and Christian Benteke and Alan Dzagoev's first goal for the club.

Villa are drawn away to Tottenham the 5th Round.

8 GAME UNBEATEN STREAK COMES TO AN ABRUPT END

A trip to White Hart Lane to play Spurs brings Villa's unbeaten run to a harsh climax. Goals from Gareth Bale, Sandro, Jan Vertonghen and Jermaine Defoe before the break leave Villa with a lot of work to do. When Matt Lowton puts through his own net, the game is over as a contest.
Christian Benteke pulls two goals back before N'Zogbia hits the post and Bent has a goal disallowed against his former club.

FINAL SCORE: SPURS 5-2 VILLA

7th! Brilliant mate, got any confidence of making Europe?

P.S. How is Benteke and Bent doing for you? :)

DOWN TO THE BARE BONES

Jason Connolly's Aston Villa head in to transfer deadline day needing to add a few players as Alan Dzagoev and Gabby Agbonlahor join Vincent Wanyama on the injury list. Karim El Ahmadi is representing Morocco at the African Cup of Nations and Andi Weimann and Gary Gardner have joined feeder club Barnsley on loan til the end of the season.

Jason Connolly acts quickly to cover his damaged midfield by bringing in former player Craig Gardner in on loan from Sunderland til the end of the season.

A short term deal for Real Madrid winger Jose Callejon is almost completed but time runs out and the player remains in the Spanish capital. Speculation says the Villa manager will move again for Callejon in the summer.

BREAKING NEWS...

As the window closes, it seems Craig Gardner is the solo arrival on deadline day at Villa Park until a press conference is called which is attended by Jason Connolly and Eric Cantona.

JOURNALIST: A midnight press conference, this better be important gentlemen.
CONNOLLY: Yes, we completed a deal moments before the deadline which is an important one for the club.
JOURNALIST: So... Are you going to enlighten us?
CANTONA: Sir, I don't enjoy your tone.
JOURNALIST: It's midnight, I would prefer to be home watching Babestation.

Momentary laughter fills the room.

CANTONA: You like watching naked arses wiggle in front of you do you? Have some of this!!!

Cantona stands up, spins round and pulls down his Yves Saint Lauren trousers to bare his bottom at the room of gasping journo's.

CONNOLLY: Nice one, Eric. OK, now that you're all listening again, I'd like to introduce our new loan signing who will be here until the end of the season....

In other transfer news, Marek Hamsik joins Real Madrid in a £28m deal from Napoli while Sir Alex Ferguson snaps up Leighton Baines for £11.75m from Everton.

Quietly confident mate, we have a game in hand and if we win, it takes us up to 6th. Hoping we win the Capital One Cup for some silverware and a route back in to Europe!! :)

Bent and Benteke are brilliant up top together, playing Bent as an AF and Benteke as Target Man, his heading is amazing. Bent feeds off his knock downs and flicks. They have 31 goals between them in all comps. :)
@DarKillerChris: Haha I know mate but Cantona is so unpredictable, anything is possible!! :)
Love your story, keep it up.! :D
