That was pretty cool news. It the first time ever in my CM/FM career that I have started with a small enough team and played long enough to get a brand new stadium.

Much appreciated edu1878.
We will still be light-years behind Real Madrid and Barcelona but this will hopefully help us close the gap to the rest of the division.
good luck
did you get a transfer budget for next season so that you can strengthen you squad a bit

I did but you will have to wait until the next update. :)
come on please :-p
I hope that next year you will have a better youth income than this year
did you find some gems on the transfer market?

We just took out a €31M bank loan so I think you can guess what that did to my transfer budget. :(

This is my first attempt to manage a lower league team and I still make a lot of mistakes.
One of them has been too overlook my youth academy. When you start in the top division the academy is almost always in good shape and you don’t have to pay attention to it.
That was not the case for CD Constància and I have not remembered to ask the board for upgrades.
It’s getting better now but the academy is still horrible and it will be year until it will produce talents I can use.
i still hope you can get some reinforcements this year so you can have a more or less relax year in the top division.
How is your scouting knowledge?
how many scouts do you have?

We have come a long way since the first season when we had one blind scout only allowed to scout in Spain. Now we got five scouts scouting the world.

We will get some players but we are still a long way from seeing big names coming to play football in Inca.

4-4-2?

With so much attention focused around the new stadium deal the preseason took us somewhat by surprise.
We felt the influence of the new stadium deal straight away but not the way we hoped for. With the ink still wet on the new €34M bank loan the transfer budget suffered and went down from the €8M the year before to just over €4M this season.

We only signed one player before the start of the season. I needed a playmaker in the middle who could both dig in and do a defensive job but also be able to distribute the ball to the flanks and the strikers. We had several AMC but few comfortable enough to drop deep and with enough of a defensive mind to be suitable for the job.

With his excellent technic, creativity and passing skills we hoped that Iñigo Pérez could fill that void. We got him from Getafe C.F. for just €100K. Pérez was 32 years old and near the end of a long career that had taken him to clubs like Athletic Bilbao and CA Osasuna before Getafe but the scouts assured me that he still had plenty of gas left in the tank.
We signed Iñigo Pérez to a one-year deal that would make him the first five-figure wage player in C.D. Constància history.

We also made the second biggest sale in team history. This time it was not a player but one of our scouts. Dortmund (I have added the German league for this year) wanted one of our scouts and was willing to pay €190.000 to get him. That was almost double to what we had paid Getafe C.F. for Iñigo Pérez just a few days before. We sent him off to Germany without a fight.

For the first friendly of the season we decided to start in a 4-4-2 formation. We had used the 4-2-3-1 formation for most of last season but after a closer look at the player group I decided to change. We had used our best striker Diego Batista as an AML. With two strikers I could move him up front next to Teodoro Bañares and play him in his natural position as poacher and use Bañares as the target man.

That would give Edy Curri another chance to prove that he could also do for his club team what he managed for the German 20 team when he was named in the All-Star team in the 2019 U19 European Championship but this time in his natural position as ML.
In the middle it would be Iñigo Pérez as the creator with Quique Rivero doing the dirty work.
Pochard who had never shown his full potential would backup Pérez. David Karg and Sergi Campoy would rotate behind Rivero.
On the right it would be Francisco Coloma again this season

The defense was easy. Raimond Zonneveld and Cihan Polat were the obvious choices. Lucas Hoyos would play on the left side and that left the just the DLC open fight for. Carlos Akapo had the advantage from playing next to Zonneveld before but young prospects in Eladio and Zügo were breathing down his neck and wanted a chance to show what they could do.

In the goal it would be Martijn Pot again this season.

Inigo Perez looks like a good signing, hopefully he can help you control the match in the center of the park. Good luck for the season :D

As long as he is allowed to stay inside the centre circle the entire game I have high hopes for him but I must say that his physical attributes are not pretty.
