Louis O. : Great to see you go top! Unlucky to slip back down after though :(

It was a short lived experience. Hopefully we get back there sooner or later.
Great win against Villareal especially away from home, but bad luck about the recent fixtures, sure you can bounce back! :)
Constancia are top, Nek Minit they play Barca and Madrid. Great job going top and good luck getting back there. What was the thing about 25 years later???

I guess the correct technical term for what just happened is «Regression to the mean»

Might be some time before we get back there.
I tried to be clever and hint about the story being told 25 years in to the future (2045).
Will not happen again :/
Why won't it happen again. Wasn't I supposed to notice?

I'm not clever, I had to ask edu this morning where the future hint was, I'd missed it every time :))
Tough run of results after an awesome start but I'm sure soon enough we will see Constancia at the top for good!

coaching carousel

The coaching carousel ran amok in the end of 2020. It looked like that all the major teams in England had decided it was time to switch manager. That included teams like Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. The switching of managers soon spread to other countries around Europa where teams like Juventus, A.C. Milan, Roma and FC Schalke 04 in Germany were also affected.

I was of cause not a candidate for any of these jobs. Only offer I got was to manage Levante U.D in the Spanish second division. Not exactly a move up the ladder.

In Spain the coaching situation was relatively stable. José Mourinho was the manager in Madrid for the tenth year in a row now.
In Barcelona it was still Tito Vilanova in control even if the seat was a little warmer under him this year after a bad start to the season. With Lionel Messi out with an injury the team found themself in 9th place, nine points behind the league leader after seventeen games of the season was played.

The surprise team in the LIGA BBVA in the late part of 2020 was Getafe C.F. who found themself in first place in the league. They had only lost one of their first fifteen games and had impressive wins against both Real Madrid and Barcelona in the league and against Barcelona again in the Copa del Ray.

In the bottom of the league a group of eight teams was being left behind and we found ourselves among them with only five points and one team between us and the dreaded relegation line. Two teams (Valladolid and Deportivo de La Coruña) already looked doomed still looking for their first wins. That left the remaining six teams to fight the entire season to avoid the third and final relegation spot.

The results were not much to cheer about. We picked up some points against some of the other teams in the relegation zone and scored six goals against Real Sociedad but the results against the better teams were horrible.

Only real positive was that Teodoro Bañares kept scoring goals.

Even if there were not a lot of positive results on the field the board was still pleased with how we were doing overall. The money kept pouring inn and during the summer the board had decided to name two of our most beloved players Sergi Campoy David Karg as “Legends of C.D. Constància.
I was pleased with “only” being an icon.

How are you not a legend already after getting them to the La Liga?!
A tough start mate, with a bad row of losses... But I am sure you can turn it up in the next months! I agree with lwalter66: you should be a legend right now! :/
Tough run of games but it is not fatal and I'm sure there is more in store for Constancia!
This season has been tough for you, but you definitely do deserve to be a Constancia legend! :)

I haven’t really won anything yet and have a winning percentage below 50%

That was not the start I was looking for. Looks like another season clawing for survival.

k1rups : Tough run of games but it is not fatal and I'm sure there is more in store for Constancia!
A lot more to come. Have done the outline for 20 more updates already.

Justice : This season has been tough for you, but you definitely do deserve to be a Constancia legend! :)
I can live with “only” being an icon.
Why you not legend yet???
