2012-11-30 19:12#70088 or.dabool : Nice combination of tactics. Should do the job :)

Hopefully it'll work. I'm kinda afraid if its to expansive for lower league. but i am giving a go, if it didn't work, i'll go for a more direct approach..

Transfer Update

Bath City manager, Ahmad Firdausi Hafiz Pawira, have announced that his club will not be signing anymore players after a series of deals in what was a massive squad revamp ahead of the 2012/2013 season. The Malaysian manager was quoted saying

"We've made a lot of deals prior to today. 11 players were signed and 6 were offloaded. Obviously the players will need some time to gel but the good thing is, all of our transfer business have been done early. The lads will have a full pre season and hopefully they will make full use of that. We are not looking to get anybody else. I am fully satisfied with the squad that I have at this moment".

Breaking News!: Bath City FC hits by yet another long term injury

Trevor Mutero adds to the number of occupants on the Bath City's treatment table. The player was expected to be out for 7-8 months after breaking his leg following a robust challenge during a friendly match against Gloucester yesterday. There were rumors saying that Bath City manager might seek for a new signing to patch up his forward line which have been hit hard by injuries during the pre season. With main Marek Kincl definitely out for an expected 3 months, Josh Low out for 6-7 2eeks and Ibrahim Farah still out for another one week, it is interesting to see if Bath City will be able to cope with such bad luck.

Pre season interview with Bath City boss

Reporter: Good evening Mr Pawira. Not the best pre season is it? What do you have to say about that?

Me: Yeah, I wouldn't say its been how I hope it would. The results weren't great, but the pedigree of most of our opponents shouldn't be overlooked. Having said that, I was expecting a better performance against the likes of Bassingtoke and Gloucester.

Reporter: You've been hit hard by injuries in the pre season. How do you plan to deal with that?

Me: We've been really unlucky yeah. The injuries totally disrupt our preparation ahead of the incoming season. I might look for a short term loan if any decent players become available.

Reporter: Next up is your first competitive match in the managerial world against Welling. How do you feel about that?

Me: I am hoping for a good start obviously. Welling is a good team and we won't underestimate them. We certainly are going to do our best and go for the 3 points.

Reporter: Its good to hear from you Mr Pawira. All the best. Thank you.

Me: You're most welcome. Bye.

Next up:

Competitive Debut

Stay Tuned :)

COMPETITIVE DEBUT

(Team Talk)Me: We've not had the best pre season, but i believe we can do well here today. Now show me what you can do!

Match Stats:

(Team Talk)Me: You were unlucky lads. Playing with one man for literally an entire half of the match was not easy but you fought well. Jamie, be careful with your challenges next time! You did the lads no favor at all despite grabbing an assist.

Bath Struggling for Form After 10 Round of League Matches

A run of inconsistent performances saw bath grabbed 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses in Blue Square Bet South matches. The FA Cup win against Chippenham set up an away meeting against Willand Rovers. Bath boss will certainly be hoping for an extended cup runs which will bring crucial revenue for his side.

Bath currently sits 7th in the league, 7 points behind league leader, Bassingtoke (the team that beats them 2-0 in pre-season friendly). With the team expected to finish in the playoff spot by the end of the season, an improvement was expected from rookie Malaysian boss, Ahmad Firdausi Hafiz Pawira.

Standings

Bath City FC currently sits on the 2nd spot in the league tied on 31 points with league leader Farnborough. If they can keep up their current form, a promotion push will be a realistic target come the end of the season.

Those are some great transfers there. Shame about the injuries.

"Not a good pre-season"? More like the worst pre-season I've ever seen :P great to see you're doing pretty well in the league though. Hopefully a promotion next season, and hopefully you'll stick to this story ;)

Rookie Bath City FC Manager Tinkered with Tactics

Since the start of the season, the Bath City manager have tested with four different tactics for his team. With the current good results they are showing, he finally seems to manage to identify the right blend of formation for his team and is look to settle on three formations.

In home matches, the Malaysian manager seems to prefer his 4-2-3-1 Control formation. The most attacking formation of the three he preferred, he normally used the formation in home matches, against weaker team or in a chasing position.

A possession based, short passing tactic which promote slow build up play. The tactic depends very much on the two creative players, the Deep-Lying Playmaker and the Advance Playmaker, for crafts and the position interchange between the two inside forwards. The goal scoring burden seems to be spread amongst its forwards and midfield although expectedly the Deep-Lying Forward is the one who hit the back of the net most.

In away matches, Mr Ahmad FH Pawira seems to prefer a counter attacking 4-4-2 or sometimes a counter attacking 5-3-2.

This counter attacking tactic tend to make full use of the Wide Midfielders to do the damage providing crosses and creating opportunities. With a Deep-Lying Forward filling the gap between midfield and attack, the goal scoring burden lies heavily on the Poacher.

This strategy may seems defensive yet it provides a real knack in hitting the opponent who under estimate its counter attacking capacity. The Wing Backs on each flanks contribute in both attacking and defensive phase while the two Ball Winning Midfielders press high up the pith to win the ball as soon as possible and lay it to the more creative players to do their magic. This is a very balance formation which the Bath manager intend on using more. He seems to think that a small tweak is required on the tactic.

Now that Bath City FC have been playing well, it is interesting to see if the Malaysian will keep tweaking his tactics or will he keep faith in his current formations. The early signs seems to be leaning towards the later.
