Month Report (August): We hosted current PL champions Tottenham at Carrow Road and we knew that it would be a very hard job to beat this already improved Tottenham. We started with the wrong foot, as Emmanuel Adebayor tapped it in in the 25th minute. Not long after, Scott Parker scored an amazing goal right outside of the penalty area. We responded with the debut of Mattia Destro, who joined from Genoa C.F.C. Parker's goal proved to be the winner for Tottenham and lost our first league match of the 2013-2014 season. We travel to Or's native country and decide to give Or a visit right before our match. After talking 10 hours of football, we went to Beirat Jerusalem's stadium. After 15 minutes, Mattia Destro scores another goal in his second appearance, keeping his goal to appearance record on. Destro proves to be too good and Holt might be a warm-bencher this season. 11 minutes after, a nasty tackle from Beitar defender Alon concedes a penalty, and Albin Ekdal takes a deep breath and chips it in, Pirlo style. Then, Estigarribia extended our lead by three goals and away. This half couldn't get better! After a goal from Shuki Shaul in the last 10 minutes, it gives hope for Jerusalem to qualify. For the final match of the month, Ryan Bennett secured and already favorable match against us with a header from a corner. Not bad this month, we lost to Tottenham (Current PL champions) by a goal difference. Then, we went to Jerusalem and duly delivered the bookies by beating Beirat Jerusalem. We went back to Carrow Road and beated them again, by a goal from Bennett. A needed change was needed for Hoolahan who left for Reading on a reported fee of 1 million pounds. In other news, Norwich draws Npower Championship side Sunderland. To add on draws, the Europa League group will be the following. Metalist Kharkiv, Feyenoord, FC Red Bull Salzburg. I think that this team is rather hard, because Metalist is a hard team and so are Feyenoord. But, I will not underestimate Red Bull either. We play Wigan next at Carrow Road. Losing to Wigan, (who almost cost me my Europa League spot by the way) was not good. I took out Destro and put captain Grant Holt headed the ball, who hit the post, but Al Habsi's back tapped it in. Though, Wigan weren't done yet and found the win by a very late goal in James McCarthy. POOR MATCH AGAINST WIGAN. NO POINTS YET FOR NORWICH, AND I'M RAGING!

Norwich Player of the Month:
Vladimir Weiss
Why: He scored three goals in the 4 matches played this month (all three in EL) and thanks to him we are in the EL stages. Great player.
Norwich Young Player of the Month:
Mattia Destro
Why: I put him in after Holt was tired after an exhausting first leg trip to Molde FK and he scored 1 in his debut, and the second one on his other debut, the league debut. I hope he surpasses Holt's 21 goals last season and help us achieve a better league finish!
