Association Press Conference
J: Journalist
DM: Diego Maradona
JP: Jeremy Pauker

J: we've called this press conference between the 2 managers here in front of us, Jeremy Pauker and Diego Maradona to discuss their affiliation with each other and whether It ended when Maradona left At. Madrid and Jeremy Pauker left Siena for Norwich. First, Is there a link between Zenit and Norwich and possibley Real Sociedad now?

DM: Yes, there still is. We've been working with our respective boards to agree to the terms we had between At. Madrid and Siena. 2 friendly games per year and a youth academy built in each one of our respective cities. We believe It will help to raise talented youngsters through the system.

J: What do you think of each other on a personal level?

JP: I have a great friendship with Maradona. I believe his motivational speeches and half time talks are really simple but they work very well. He's a very calm and well thought person, despite there being rumors that he has a bad temper and a nasty tongue.

DM: I have a huge respect for Jeremy. As you all know, he won the Europa League, European Super Cup, Community Shield and Fa Cup with Norwich, a team that were thought to be relegation contenders just a couple years ago.

J: There have been talks about you leaving Norwich for Real Sociedad, Jeremy. Are theses Rumors true?

JP: Yes they are, Sociedad are a great club with some great players. As you all know, they beat Barca in a fabulous display last week. They have a lot of history and I think going to the BBVA would be a great challenge for me as I could go against the likes of Real Madrid and Barca, the best in the world, to try to be champions of Spain and hopefully Europe

J: What do you think about this Diego?

DM: I think it's a brilliant idea, the teams in the BBVA play such a fluid and exciting style of play, a play that Jeremy has mastered at Norwich. The BBVA is tough and I couldn't keep a job there, but I'm sure Jeremy and his fantastic Managerial skills will soon have Madrid and Barca behind Sociedad.

J: Jeremy, what do you think about Maradona and his season so far?

JP:It's been a real good year for Zenit and there are of course sitting at the top of the table. They made some great signings and there key players such as Axel Witsel and Hulk are really performing brilliantly. I think they can have some real succes in Europe as well.

J: Lastly, Diego, can you talk to us about Jeremy and his short stint and Blackpool?

DM: I don't really know all the details, it sounds like although Jeremy was doing so well and making some brilliant signings with Blackpool and making them look like a team heading for promotion, one of his key players was Corrupted :P and Jeremy could not continue.

J: Thank you both for your time

D: Thank You

JP: Thank You
I meant that guys :P :)!
Transfer Targets

The window is about to come to a close and I have identified some of the youngsters that I want to bring to Russia before it's too late. Getting just one of these guys would be fabulous has I cannot afford them all

My first target is Maarten Busscher from FC Twente. I was stunned when I saw this guy play in the reserves. He had amazing skills for a 16 year old and was making everyone else out on that pitch look link they were fools. I inquired about this lad, but after some tough bargining FC Twente put the minimum price at 10.75 million pounds for him. It's very unlikely this deal will be done, but still, a grat player to watch.

My second target is Zakaria Laybad. A young Portuguese winger, 20 years old that looked like a pretty good play maker out at Sporting. It also looks like he will not go very cheap, but talks are continuing and perhaps an agreement will be reached before the end of this window.

My third target this month is a young Belgian named Jasper Henkens. He is very versatile and would be a future star that can support an offense. His dribbling and finishing is very high for his age, 16.

The next target is a young Frenchmen named Fernand Paris. He is lackluster in some areas but will be great on Corners and he will definitely be a fantastic header of the ball. He is very determined for his age, 16.

The 5th target this month is a great defensive midfielder at 16. He has high determination and bravery as well as a good first touch and great natural fitness. He strikes me as a future leader or maybe captain, if his influence goes up.

The last target this month is a Brazilian, 20 years old, named Gustavo Henrique. He can jump very well and he also has high Natural Fitness. He has a high work rate and can head the ball with some skill. Not as high of a ceiling as some of the youngsters here, but still good solid Defender who will definitely improve.

I just want to thank all the people who have commented as I don't reply to them all individualy. Just so you know, I'm not ignoring you guys. :)

Sky Sports here, It has been reported that Diego Maradona has nabbed one of his transfer target. Belgian AMC Jasper Henkins. Henkins previously played for Genk, but was confident that a move to a more prestigious club will help his growth. Henkins is a really versatile player and Maradona is confident that he can be a real leader in the future alongside Wellington Nem.

Thank everybody for 3000 views. I could have never imagined my story being so successful considering there are so many stories better than mine :P

Maradona is not doing that awful either in game. :D

February Update (Freindlies)

A pretty good month overall, we won all of our friendlies. We also signed one quality youngster. This month we had 6 friendlies and 1 European Champions League match.

Our first game this month was against Partizan. I decided to field some new team members, Diego Rocha and new free signing Jan Oblak in goal. The game started off very well as in the 6th minute, Diego Rocha beat 2 men before driving the ball into the bottom corner. Rocha would double his goal total in the 91st minute when he received a Hulk pass and tapped it in right passed the goalie at the top of the6. A very good game for the newbies.

Our second game this month was against Danish side Fc Kobenhaven. Just before half time Tomas Hubschaman would run to the back post to meet a Danny cross and power the ball past the keeper. Alexandr Kerzhakov would make the game 2-0 in the 51st minute on a easy breakaway. Axel Witsel would put the game out of reach just 3 minutes later when he powered a volley past the goalkeeper from the top of the box. Kobenhaven would score a goal in the 90th minute, but it would have no effect on the final result, 3-1.

Our third game this month was against Red Star Belgrade. Wellington Nem gave us a great start when he finessed the ball past the keeper in the 1st minute. Luke Djordjevic would double our lead in the 26th minute when he scored off a Nem rebound. Just 8 minutes later, it was Djordjevic again to make it 3-0. Red Star would score a consolation goal in the 90th minute but they would still leave this game empty handed, final result 3-1.

Our next game was against Romanian side Unirea Ungheni. Victor Faizluin would score first in the 1st minute off a breakaway. 8 minutes later, It was Faizluin again on a head ball to make it 2-0. No more goals would come till the 89th minute when Danny beat 2 men before slotting the ball far post to secure a win for our side. The game would produce no more goals and the final result was 3-0.

Our 5th game this month was against Ulsan. It was a really boring game with only goal, that coming in the 5th minute from a Tomas Hubacan header. More chances were created for our side, but the game would end 1-0.

Our 6th game this month was against Fc Porto, 1st Knockout Round, 1st Leg, Champions League football in Zenit. The game did not live up too expectations. 2 goals were put past our keeper, both disallowed. We were completely dominated and the closest we came to the goal was Alexandr Kerzhakov shot that hit the underside of the bar. We will need to put some goals in at the away game in Portugal coming up next month.

Our last game this month was against Swedish Side IFK Goteborg. Maxi Kanunnikov, recentle transfer listed was the first to get on the board in the 28th minute. We would double our total in the 45th minute when Lukovic would score a simple goal off a Hulk rebound. No more goals would be scored and the game would end 2-0

Moving on, we made 1 signing this month.

The signing was young Belgian AMC Jasper Henkins who shows exceptional talent in both shooting and finishing. The fee for him was 1 million pounds and he will remain at Genk until he is 18 and is legally allowed to play for a foreign club. I believe he could some day be a superstar and a best case scenario in my opinion is 20 assists and 15 goals.

The next update will reveal who will make the next round of the Champions League. :P
Looks like you're doing brilliant with Zenit, keep it up!

March Update

A very good month for us, the unbeaten run continues and Zenit are cruising. We also made a signing this month, one for the future. This month we had 5 matches, 4 Russian Premier League Match and a Champions League Match.

Our first match this month was against Sibir in the Russian Premier League. It was tied going into half time and I told the team to play more attacking and it payed off in the 47th minute Hulk scored a blistering shot from outside the box. We would double our lead in the 61st minute when hulk scored a tap in off a cross from Axel Witsel. The game would produce more chances but no more goals were put past either keeper and the game would end 2-0 in our favor.

Our 2nd game this month was against CSKA Moscow in the Russian Premier League. A bad start for us as in the 7th minute Alexandr Bukharov beat one of our men before scoring a goal on a breakaway. We would respond in the 32nd minute when Hulk ripped the ball past their keeper from a tight angle. Alexandr Kerzhakov would give us in the 37th minute when he chipped the ball past their keeper. They looked to tie the game up in the 86th minute but their goal was disallowed and the game would end 2-1 in our favor, a immense result in the league.

Our 3rd game this month was against FC Porto away in the Champions League, the biggest game of my managerial career so far. I told the team to play a counter attacking game. FC Porto were having none of it though and easily scored a Jose Sosa head ball goal in the 24th minute. We were down 1-0 at half time when I told the team to change their mentality and play attacking. Then this .

"It's Kerzhakov in the corner, beats a man, ball crossed to the middle for Axel Witsel, shot, past the keeper. GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL."

Axel Witsel smashed the ball past the goalkeeper. The stadium was completely quiet. The next 25 minutes zipped by and the fans and players looked equally stunned as we pulled a huge upset out of our hats to secure a quarter final appearance.

The Champions League draw was tough but I believe maybe we have a chance to move on. We drew OM, Chelsea Killers, for the quarter finals. The winner of that game will play either Real Madrid or Bayern in the semis.

Our 4th game this month was a lackluster game against Kuban. We conceded first in the 47th minute by a goal from Bulgarian Captin Ivelin Popov. In the 90th minute, It looked like our unbeaten run would finally come to an end, but It was not to be as Alxandr Kerzhakov received the ball in Overload strategy and tipped the ball past the keeper.

Our last game this month was against Terek in the Russian Premier League. It was a comfortable game for our side and right away in the 10th minute, Hulk smashed the ball past the keeper from a tight angle. We would double our lead in the 84th minute when Center Back Bruno Ecuele Manga smashed another head ball into the side netting off a corner kick. That's Manga's 3rd goal of the season at CB.

Here is the league table through 24 games. We are in first place with a 8 point advantage over second place Anji who have a game in hand.

We made 1 signing this month, a youngster for the future.

Thet youngeter was Marco Tulio, a Brazilian CB. This guy is exceptionally good and has incredible heading, tackling, determination, and composure. The Brazilian looks like he could be one of the best CB's in the world in 8 years. He didn't come cheap, commanding a transfer fee of 2.6 million pounds, but in my mind it was definitely worth it. He will join in 2016.

Our player of the month is..................

Axel WItsel. The Belgian scored the winning goal against Porto and In my mind, that's all he needed to be the best player this month.
Woah, what a regen! Nice to be up top there in the league mate! Bad luck to draw Bayern, but you got what it takes!
Superb month m8, you're doing great :) I'm sure you will beat Marseille in Champions League but the semi will be hard.

And Marco Tulio seems great :O
Good luck ;)
You're on a cracking unbeaten run here. It will be a great achievement for you to progress in the Champions League but I think you may find the next round a step too far, especially against FC Barcelona. I wish you luck with it and really do hope you can make it to the final; it would be an incredible achievement.
Atletico Madrid were silly to get rid of you. Good job!
