Milan Appoint Seedorf
AC Milan have appointed club legend Clarence Seedorf as their new manager following the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri. The Dutch legend left the Milan club to join Botafogo, but has come back to the San Siro as a manager following his retirement due to injury.
Fans are said to be uncertain whether this signing is the right one for the club, as Seedorf has no previous management experience, although they believe Seedorf’s experience with the club will help him settle in. The Dutchman played for Milan for 10 years, making 300 league appearances. He also won two Serie A titles, and two UEFA Champions Leagues, so he certainly knows how to succeed. Whether he can pull it off in the manager’s seat at Milan remains to be seen, although he is only young and would be given another chance if he failed to succeed.
The player who made 87 appearances for the Netherlands over a 14 year period has signed a deal until the end of the 2012-13 season on £53,000 p/w.
