2013-02-18 00:54#81392 The FM Rookie : Nice to see you back in the business Chris :) Have a look out for Rodrigo and Nainggolan, they both become amazing :P

Interestingly I was looking at Nainggolan but the scout said he would cost around £13M, but I will have a look at Rodrigo if Demba Ba and Jovetic don't score enough, thanks for the comment :)

Friendly Results

Great team performances in the friendlies, could've been better but I was using un-proven tactics that I was tweaking over pre-season. J. Terry played better than I thought he would, 4 goals in 5 games for a defender isn't bad at all!

Next update is going to be the best one yet!
Maybe Terry is developing in to a striker :P Good luck for the season!

Well he has been one of my most consistent performers into the season, I really didn't expect him to be playing so well.

Lineups:

First Half:

Manchester City Kick-Off!

25th minute, Chelsea :
First real thing to happen in this game, Kolo Toure lost it on the edge of Man City's half, only Kompany was deeper than him. Mata knicked the ball from Toure, gave it to Ben Arfa who ran the ball down the right-hand side, he gave Man City time to get back before back-heeling it to Azipilicueta who drove it into the box, Toure blocked the cross but it fell to Ramires who put it across the edge of the area for Lampard who scored a first-time driver. 1-0 to Chelsea!

30th minute, Chelsea hit post:
Hazard hit it in from a corner, Terry beat the 4 Man City players around him but only managed to hit the post, and Maicon cleared.

36th minute, Chelsea chance:
Another Hazard corner comes in and this time David Luiz gets up and heads it straight at Gomes. Chelsea being dominated at the moment but triumphing on counter-attacking play.

44th minute, Chelsea chance:
Hazard's cross was blocked by Kompany, but Lampard intercepted his attempted-pass away, and gave it to Mata who missed from just on the penalty spot.

44th minute, Man City chance:
Maicon out-paced Cole and ran down the left and passed it into Aguero who shot from a tight angle which Cech parried and Lampard then drew a foul from the Argentine.

Half Time!

"Manchester City having more shots and possession but Chelsea are just being too hard to break in defence and destroying City on the counter!"

David Silva put a corner in, Nastasic climbed above the Chelsea defenders but nodded it weeelll wide.

81st minute, Chelsea :
Demba Ba goes down under Kompany's challenge - He has gone off injured. Chelsea down to 10 men. (8 to 11 days)

90th minute, Chelsea :
Ramires gave it to Mikel in midfield, who put a great chipped ball to Hazard who ran into the box, before Kompany put him on the floor with a trip. Jovetic to take... Gomes saves!! Lampard would've done better.

Full Time!

Chelsea win 2-0 at Wembley, and it could've been 3 but Jovetic missed his penalty. However, an dominating performance from the European Champions, they sat back and defended but got forward and counter-attacked perfectly on Manchester City. Great Game!

UEFA Super Cup Final 2012

Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea FC

31.8.2012, Stade Louis II (UEFA SUPER CUP)

First Half:

5th minute, Chelsea :
Ramires gave it to Ben Arfa who blazed past Miranda, before playing it short to Jovetic who took a bad touch, leading to Gabi sliding the ball, across the six-yard box. Ben Arfa got to the ball first and somehow didn't score from the edge of the six-yard box, the shot was parried by Courtious and Hazard put in the rebound. 1 - 0 Chelsea Hazarrrddee!

45+1th minute, Chelsea chance:
Hazard whipped it in from a corner straight onto the head of Terry, who put it straight at Courtouis, he should of done better.

End of First Half

"Chelsea dominated, had many chances, none really threatened though. But they are in the lead and will want to stay there."

Second Half:

46th minute, Chelsea :
Straight from kick-off Chelsea score! Atletico Madrid didn't even touch the ball! Lampard sent Ben Arfa on a run down the right, Ben Arfa then took it to the bi-line and passed it back to Lampard, totally un-marked in the box, to slot it in near-post past Courtouis!

50th minute, At. Madrid chance:
Turan sent in a ball from a free-kick, Miranda got his head on it but put it straight at Cech. Still Chelsea dominating.

54th minute, Chelsea chance:
Mata sent the ball in from a corner onto JT's head, but he somehow put it over.

56th minute, At. Madrid chance:
Atletico Madrid's best chance so far, falling to Adrian. Juanfran ran with the ball and played a nice through-ball to Adrian who fired towards the right post, but Cech got down well at parried the shot of out for a corner.

72nd minute, At. Madrid chance:
Juanfran went past Cole and gave it to Falcao just inside Chelsea's box, he slightly turns and fires a shot towards the bottom corner, Cech gets down a parries away though.

75th minute, Chelsea :
Hazard sends in the corner onto Lampards head and he nodded it into the back of the net! He just can't stop scoring for me!

82nd minute, At. Madrid :
Rodriguez gave it to Koke who passed it to Falcao, with nobody around him in line with the penalty spot, finished past Cech. Once I saw him in that position I knew Falcao just wasn't going to score.

Full Time!

Chelsea win 3 - 1 in a dominating performance at the Stade Louis II, they ended up with 60% possession and double the shots At. Madrid had. Lampard seems to be on his top form at the moment scoring 2 past Chelsea loaned-out keeper Courtouis who might've wished he was on the other team tonight. Great game for Chelsea and a 2nd Medal for Wilberhand.

- F. Lampard - 8.8
I have to say I am quite jealous that you managed to win the Super Cup as I failed miserably against Borussia Dortmund with my Liverpool FC side.

I am far from a fan of Chelsea but a definite fan of this story. Keep it up!

Thanks, you will like some of the signings I have made in January, really bulked up my midfield ready for the FM Scout Cup. Hopefully I will be able to get far in the Champions League and all the other competitions.
