Brilliant!
Fantastic win against Sweden, and some great wins otherwise! Keep it up!
You absolutely anhilated Sweden! What is your policy for introducing the younger players (eg. Henderson, Ox) in to your squad?
Thanks guys! Yeah I myself was surprised by the sweden result. As for your question Rookie I just want them to get as much experience as possible cos it will help them not only develop more but be ready for big tournaments like the World Cup and Euros :)

Also, is there anything I can do to make the story better cos all I seem to be doing is match reports lol i feel i need to add some stuff so feel free to make suggestions :)

England qualify for World Cup

Went with the same 23 man squad that faced Sweden with the exception of Wilshere being added to the squad, Patrick was confident they could do the job against Poland and Ukraine only needing 3 points against either one to qualify for the WC.

Gerrard (2 pen)
Wilshere
Gerrard

Gerrard

A pleasing performance with an excellent result. gerrard scored 2 first half penalties to ensure england with a comfortable lead at half time. Wilshere managed to also get on the score sheet managing to grab his first England goal. Hopefully he will score many more.

Welbeck (2)
Sturridge
Gerrard
Jagielka
Carrick
Wilshere
Parker

Sturridge

A comfortable home victory with our 2 young strikers impressing the fans. The result was somewhat over-marred with Wilshere receiving a 2nd yellow after a late challenge which resulted in his first sending off. However the manager has ensured Wilshere he will be considered for selection as soon as his suspension is over.

And there we have it

England have been confirmed for the WC with 2 games left to play. The FA were delighted with our qualification and will now relax until the WC in 2014!

Patrick McKeown celebrates his 27th birthday with a win in goal bonanza

As Gerrad and Wilshere were both serving a suspension, there replacements were Rodwell and Tom Cleverley who were both keen to impress the new manager.

Welbeck (2)
Hooper (2)

Welbeck

A fantastic game with goals flying everywhere, left, right and centre. Absolute crazy game which saw the England players celebrate after the game not just due to winning but also celebrating Patrick's 27th birthday with a bottle of champagne! Hooper managed to get his first England goals soon after coming on for Sturridge who had a pretty average game. Welbeck also managed to grab 2 goals for himself.

Welbeck
Sturridge
Baines (pen)
Chamberlain

A very good performance with Fraser Forster making his England debut and keeping a clean sheet after making some very nice saves! Welbeck managed to grab another goal as he named the top goalscorer in the WCQ with 12 goals and getting his 17th goal for England in 22 appearances which is some record!

Final Group 8 table

A comfortable WCQ campaign ensured England eased to the WC scoring 32 goals and only conceding 3 goals which impressed the manager.
Things are going really well for you! Keep it up. Don't worry about adding more detail to posts, it is reading really well and being in charge of a national side hinders how much detail you can go into in my opinion.

What I should have done first and foremost was the press-conference but a little too late lol unless I manage a club team as well :) until I get fed up :P but thanks anyway pal and I'm enjoying your Liverpool story :)
Great results! Keep it up, I reckon you're a contender for the World Cup!

England squad announcement vs Portugal & Argentina

The squad has been announced with McEachran, Cleverley, Wilshere and Rooney brought back into the side. The manager will be looking to experiment several of the players as they would look to impress with the hope of being named in WC squad albeit still a while to go.

QPR approach McKeown. Should he or shouldn't he?

With QPR sacking Mark Hughes, they have approached the England manager, Patrick McKeown. The club are currently languishing in the relegation zone only picking up 7 points from 12 games which is simply not good enough. The challenge could prove even more difficult with the transfer budget at just £325,000 this could prove to be McKeown's biggest test with the club perhaps having to sell players to buy so they can maintain their EPL status.

My question is:

Should I or not? Opinions please :)

Sky Sports breaking news

QPR are delighted to announce Patrick McKeown as their new manager on a contract until 2017. McKeown will hope to steady the ship and save them from relegation. This will prove to be a challenge with the team in the relegation zone but with January coming up, hopefully he will be able to bring in players needed.

The Press Conference

Interviewer: You sit here as the new QPR manager, is this your dream job?
PM: I am pleased the chairman has trusted me with this position.

Interviewer: How involved do you intend to be in the day to day running of the club?
PM: I'm going to reshape this club from top to bottom.

Interviewer: How will you handle your players with managers preferring a hands on approach?
PM: The players will be able to come to me to talk about anything. The door will always be open unless I'm sleeping with the chairmans wife ;)

Interviewer: What can we expect from you in the January transfer window?
PM: Well I'm going to sell all the shit players and bring in even worse players and destroy QPR and make them a laughing stock (!)

England friendlies vs Portugal/Argentina

Rooney
Chamberlain
Rooney
Cahill
Shawcross

A fine result with an impressive performance from both sides it was fair to say both managers were pleased with the outcome and shook hands after the game. The only concern was the injury to Chamberlain.

Wilshere
Welbeck (2)
Wilshere

Welbeck

A fantastic result against a side who have become our closest rivals in the last couple of years with our young guns impressing once again alongside the more experienced men on the pitch. Welbeck managed to hit his 19th goal for England in 24 appearances. At this rate he'll soon catch up with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen and perhaps Geoff Hurst. Wilshere also managed to bang in his 2nd goal for England as they cruised to victory.

A cracking game in McKeown's first game in charge as QPR

Cisse
Macheda
Whelan
Granero
Diakite

A great game at Loftus Road ensured QPR gained what could be a vital point in their bid to steer clear of the relegation zone courtesy to a late Macheda goal so soon after coming on. Patrick was delighted to have gotten at least a point and the players confidence were at least slightly boosted whilst the fans were also pleased with the result!

McKeown off to a good start

Park Ji Sung
Zamora
Macheda
Diakite

Nelsen

A great win against Norwich to come away with 3 points, a clean sheet and a very good performance the morale was boosted very highly as Patrick won for the first time in his second game against Norwich. At 1-0 it did look very nervy until goals from Zamora and Macheda his second in as many games secured the win!

Zamora
Delph
Delph
Nelsen

A decent result but really we should have beaten Wolves especially as we were playing at home! But a point is a point and the fans were again pleased with a late goal scored by Zamora. The performance by the players showed they are most certainly up the fight.

World Cup 2014 group stage draw

The group stage for the World Cup was drawn and England have been given a more or less easy group drawing Paraguay, USA and Nigeria!
