I agree with you Patrick. Joe Cole imo is a player who needs to recapture his form without being pressured and he can do that. Plus, he can tutor young players. Same goes with Owen!

Monthly Summary

A really good month that saw QPR climb up the table and steer clear of the relegation zone. QPR are currently sitting comfortably around mid-table which is to be expected but having looked at the table, I felt that QPR could achieve more perhaps doing the impossible and reaching a top 6 finish. We also saw QPR progress to the next round of the FA Cup.

Nice run mate, Hoilett and Macheda look good. Keep it up :D

QPR push for Europe

Julio Cesar

With the Hawthorns not being the easiest of places to go especially these days, the boss felt we would be lucky to get a draw. After a scrappy first half, a piece of magic from a certain Moroccan suddenly sprung the game into life as Taarabt scored an exquisite goal by beating 5 players before coolie sliding the ball past the keeper. We were on the backfoot for most of the game as Cesar was a one man stopping machine making save after save.

Cisse
Diakite
Mbia

A comfortable victory for Chelsea as flamboyant attacker, Juan Mata scored both of the goals in the London derby. Chelsea were first class but our defence especially Mbia done very well to keep the score down at a respectable level.

Everton travelled to Loftus Road hoping to get back to winning ways whereas QPR after a good run were on their way for a place in the top half and pushing for a place in the Europa League after much of the season in the relegation zone. QPR got off to a great start as Cisse opened the scoring within 5 minutes after a close range finish. Both teams were impressing and had spells of the ball in dangerous areas but could not take advantage. With not long left in the second half to go, Macheda who had been impressing scored with his head and got his second of the game soon after to ensure QPR got the perfect victory by scoring 3 goals, getting the 3 points and grabbing a clean sheet.

QPR on the up

QPR faced a tough test to prove they were worthy of staying in the EPL though mathematically now safe and pushing for a Europa League place whilst Man City were attempting to challenge for the league with Spurs also challenging for the title. Just past the half hour mark, Macheda on loan from Man Utd put QPR in the lead from the edge of the box as QPR went on the counter attack which was the score at half time with QPR full of confidence whilst the Man City manager had a scream at his players after their very poor first half performance. They got the message and Dzeko who was starting by the way equalised soon after with a thumping header that beat Cesar despite getting a hand to it was unable to keep it out. Former Man Utd player Park Ji Sung put QPR 2-1 up with a close range finish after a goal mouth scramble. Things were getting good for QPR, passing the ball well and having a few shots on goal until the Bosnian, Edin Dzeko saved Man City yet again scoring 10 minutes from time. The players especially the defence felt slightly disheartened as they played ever so well and defended stoutly but the road goes on.

Simao

QPR faced Arsenal in the London derby as Arsenal were having quite a poor season with the top 4 out of their reach and perhaps only being able to finish in a Europa League place or below. Arsenal were in complete control of the game and QPR just could not get the ball off them. It was not a poor performance though the ratings would tell you otherwise, it was just Arsenal were too damn good with goals coming in either half from Adam Johnson and Siqueira. The only positive from the game was that it was only 2 goals scored and not more.

In the next round of the FA Cup, QPR travelled to face Championship side Leicester at the King Power stadium. It was a very evenly tight fixture with the only goal coming from surprise, surprise, Djibril Cisse who powered home from the edge of the area into the roof of the net.
great signing in simao, he's always my top performer on my preston save. hope he doesnt spend half his games suspended for you.

Since both teams were promoted, Swansea have had the upper hand on QPR with the Liberty being quite a difficult place to go to. However that changed as QPR recorded a comfortable victory over the Swans. QPR got off to a great start after a magnificent, individual effort by Cisse which ended him rounding Vorm and putting the ball into an empty net. Cisse got his second goal of the game after a 15 pass move which saw Cisse fire in from close range into the roof of the net. Laudrup could not believe what he was watching as his side was dominating the game but could simply not score. In the second half, QPR completely killed of the game when captain, Park got his name on the scoresheet after a goalmouth scramble which the ball fell to Park and simply could not miss. Danny Graham got a late consolation goal for Swansea with headed effort at goal.

QPR played host to Norwich as the season was drawing closer and closer to an end with just over a month to go as both teams were facing different challenges. QPR were fighting to get in a Europa League place whilst Norwich settling for mid/top half finish. QPR got off to a flyer as Anton Ferdinand opened the scoring after 2 minutes with a thumping header, leaving Ruddy no chance. It was a very open game with both having chances but squandering them or by excellent defending especially from Mbia who was a rock in defence. QPR killed of the game soon after half time with Park settling the game with a tidy finish inside the area.

QPR's next game was a trip to Molineux to face Wolves who were struggling at the bottom and in deep trouble. Banners were out saying for the manager to be sacked and my mum could do a better job and knows jack about football. Wolves had some possession of the ball but were not doing anything with it as QPR stuck their noses in and got the opening goal with Jake Livermore, signed from Spurs getting his first goal for the club with a cracking striker from 30 yards one to remember and hopefully won't be his last memorable goal. He soon got his second of the game 5 minutes from half time when he picked the ball in midfield, made a pass to Park Ji Sung who swung in a cross which found Livermore and attacked with his head into the net. If it wasn't game over then, it certainly was after as Cisse scored from close range. Wolves got a consolation goal with former Cardiff and Celtic player, Joe Ledley scoring from inside the area.

Bolton visited Loftus Road and like Wolves were in deep trouble but no banners this time. Cisse opened the scoring just outside 10 minutes with a thumping finish that left Bogdan stranded to the spot. QPR dominated the game and attacked, attacked and attacked but lacked the killing touch. 1-0 was the score at half time. Things were still looking good for QPR and finally found that second goal as Taarabt scored from a free kick which had hit the post and went in. Bolton got a goal of their own when Fabian Frei scored 12 minutes from time and QPR all of a sudden were on the backfoot and looked nervous but held their own and prevented an equaliser.

QPR faced a difficult challenge as they aimed to reach the FA Cup and were up against fierce rivals, Chelsea which to no-ones knowledge is the team, the manager supported. Former Chelsea lad, Bosingwa was the target of the boo boys as well as Anton Ferdinand after the whole racist incident with Terry. Chelsea were certainly the better team as they attacked QPR almost from the kick off, not wasting any time and clearly wanted to get things over and done with but QPR defended strong and stoutly as a unit, everyone pulling their weight even Adel Taarabt. After a one sided first half which was 0-0, QPR got a grip on the game and had nice spells on the ball and had several chances blocked or squandered. It looked like it would go to extra time until Mbia headed a powerful effort which left Cech with no chance at all with an assist coming from Granero. QPR are to play Aston Villa in the FA CUP FINAL 2014

With Villa having to settle for a mid-table position, QPR were aiming to keep in touch with a place in the Europa League after a change of fortunes since McKeown took charge. QPR did not get off to the best of starts as Agbonlahor opened the account with a well taken finish. Things all of a sudden went from good to worse as Makoun who has not enjoyed the best of times at Villa Park, earned himself a red card and an early bath after a horrible two footed challenge on Shelvey who luckily was fine. 1-0 was the score at half time as QPR in the second half bombarded Villas defence and finally QPR found a breakthrough when Cisse equalised after a lovely through ball from Granero. QPR then got their second a few minutes later with loanee, Shelvey finding the net to ensure QPR got a vital victory.

Fulham did not have anything to play for except to push up the league as high as possible whereas QPR were in a 2 horse fight with Liverpool and Arsenal for a Europa League place. Nothing exciting happened in the first half where both had possession in the middle of the park and trying to make chances but just not being able to convert them. Lucky for QPR, Mbia who had an excellent season opened the scoring with a powerful headed strike which Stockdale got a hand to but the power of the ball was just to strong and went in. QPR were able to thwart any Fulham attempts to equalise and took all 3 points as they jumped above Arsenal.

With QPR having confirmed a place in the Europa League having won a cup (more on that later), it was just down to finishing above Liverpool to achieve a top 6 finish which would earn the club more money depending on final positions. Macheda opened the scoring what was to be quite controversial as a fan in the stadium had chucked one of those floaty balls onto the pitch which left Reina bamboozled yet again. Cisse who had scored twice against Liverpool at Anfield was at it again as he scored with a fine strike from the edge of the area soon before half time. Park who was making his last appearance for QPR as he would be let go at the end of his contract got his final goal for the club, scoring a free kick from 25 yards soon after Cisse's 1st goal. 3-0 the score at half time. Liverpool got their act together and pulled one back with defender Agger scoring from a Gerrard corner. Henderson then made it 3-2 as the comeback was on but QPR then wrapped it up when Cisse got his second with a solo effort soon before full time.

The two most unlikeliest of teams to reach the FA Cup final meant that this would certainly be worth watching as both focused on the prize and whoever won would have a place in the Europa League. QPR were well up for it and dominated the game, while Villa were on the backfoot for long periods of the game. It was of course that man Cisse who opened the scoring after brilliant passing which led to the goal with a close range finish. The game was very open and Villa had a very good chance to equalise when Benteke was one-one-one but got in tangle with his feet so Cesar was able to thump it down the other end. Cesar more or less had a quiet game as Mbia was a rock in defence and protecting the keeper at all costs. Cisse got his second and confirmed that QPR won the FA CUP in 2014. After the whistle blew, all the players and staff were thrilled with the win and getting a place in the Europa League.

England Preliminary World Cup Squad

Today was the day for the announcement of the Preliminary squad for the World Cup. Patrick had decided to call upon a mixture of young talented players alongside the more experienced players namely Beckham, Gerrard and Lampard. The shock inclusion of course apart from Beckham was young player, Josh McEachran who had been on loan but the manager shows that he is not just to pick high named profile players but those who deserve to and Josh was one of them.

England World Cup Final Squad

Unfortunately for McKeown he would have to cut out 7 players from the squad and would not play any part in the tournament which was rather stressful. The 7 unlucky players were the following:

Jagielka, Smalling, Beckham, Adam Johnson, Milner, Scott Sinclair and Gary Hooper who all flew home the following morning.

Gerrard

England kicked off their World Cup hopes with a tie against Paraguay who were hoping to surprise a team or two. Captain fantastic, Gerrard gave England the lead with a powerful strike all from 30 yards which was England's first goal in the tournament. Now we all know England previously have not impressed in previous World Cup Finals but McKeown was about to change all that and make history. Paraguay had some decent chances to equalise but were often thwarted and caught in possession as England looked to break on the counter with their pace. It was one nil at half time and England looked to grab another after which did happen courtesy of Wayne Rooney who half volleyed in from just outside the box as a Paraguay defender was caught in possession and cost his team dearly. Lucas Barrios then scored for Paraguay as the comeback was on as there was still time left but England held on for the 3 points.

Next up was tricky side, Nigeria who are a nice team to watch with their silky and flashy play of the game but that didn't stop England though the game had to wait until the second half to get the first goal when Danny Welbeck scored his first ever World Cup goal with a clean strike that beat the keeper. Winning this game would mean qualifying for the next round and the other Man Utd striker, Rooney once again got on the scoresheet with a headed goal, getting his second goal of the tournament.

Rooney

England had nothing to play for other than finishing top or even second depending where Brazil or France finished in their group. The game really opened up as both were looking to create chances but it was England and Wayne Rooney who found the net with Rooney firing in from long range scoring 3 goals in as many games in the tournament. England were on the front foot but could not take their chances, fortunately USA could not either so one nil was the score and England had to wait until the 88th minute when Welbeck got his second goal of the tournament from close range.

Knock-out Round

Wilshere

In the first knock-out round, England faced a tough test against France who were an embarrassment in the last World Cup (shame on them). England got off to a wonderful start when talented midfielder, Jack Wilshere who was making his first ever World Cup tournament scored after 3 minutes from a free kick which was taken by Lampard. England were enjoying plenty of the ball and creating many chances in what was an action packed half. Things went from bad to worse for the French as midfielder, Matuidi collected his second yellow after a handball. He soon paid for that as Rooney earned England the victory with a striker from 25 yards with an assist from Jack Wilshere.

After defeating France, the next opponent was rivals Germany who knocked England out in the last World Cup. This time it was revenge for England best served hot. England got off to a flyer when Rooney whose been in red hot form gave England the lead with a thumping strike from just outside the area. Germany equalised 7 minutes later when Gary Cahill dilly dallied on the ball, lost possession and Kern took advantage and rounded Joe Hart to put into an empty net. Veteran player, Ashley Cole who would be making his last World Cup appearance, got his first ever international goal after a fine piece of play, Cole dashed into the box and with his weaker foot, slid the ball into the far bottom corner out of the keepers reach. This game was very exciting to watch and had everyone on their feet. Germany equalised yet again when Hart fumbled at a corner and Wagner had the simple task of putting it into an empty net who should have been marked by Gary Cahill. It was a draw at half time after an action packed first half and was time for a breather. The second half got underway with both teams having good spells of the ball in dangerous positions but it was England who took advantage and got the winner through Chamberlain who was put one-on-one with the keeper and was composed as he took a cheeky attempt to lob the keeper and just went over the line. Fortunately it was given unlike the Lampard goal several years ago. England held on and progressed to the semi final to face Belgium.

Rodwell

England were edging closer and closer to the World Cup Final but first they were to focus first on defeating Belgium who were ranked 10th in the WR and had a number of key players such as Fellaini, Kompany, Vermaelen, Lukaku and of course that man, Eden Hazard. It was a very open game as Joe Hart was a very busy keeper and kept thwarting Belgiums attempts on goal with save after save including a spectacular save from Hazard that looked destined to go in but Hart just got about enough with help from the post to keep it out. Injury prone, Jack Rodwell had a great game in the middle of the park, breaking up attacks and starting them proving to be the player that he was born to be. England finally took the lead soon after half time when Rooney added to his goal tally in the World Cup to 6 goals sending England to the WORLD CUP FINAL.
Great run Patrick, I hope you can win it :)
Your doing absolutely amazing mate, with both Q.P.R and England. Congrats on winning the F.A. Cup :D I hipe you can win the World Cup as well, brilliant results against Belgium and Germany. Good Luck with both England and Q.P.R!

ENGLAND WIN WORLD CUP

Welbeck
Rooney

Welbeck

Here we are, at the WORLD CUP FINAL!!! England vs Italy. As soon as the game kicked off, both teams were in each others throats, challenging for the ball as they looked to dominate the game. England were playing some nice football and the young guns were certainly stepping up to the plate and showed no fear. It was Italy though who made the breakthrough with Matia Destro opening the scoring with a fine strike with help off the post. The lead didn't last too long as young striker Welbeck who impressed throughout the tournament was put through one-on-one and kept himself composed as he coolie slid the ball home into the net. The winner arrived shortly after with Rooney getting his 7th goal of the World Cup with a well taken free kick. England managed to hold on for the win.

Press Conference

Kelly Cates First I'd love to congratulate you on winning the World Cup in 48 years! How are you feeling?
Patrick McKeown It's been a memorable tournament with so many upsets and to win the World Cup is the most fantastic feeling. I am so proud of the players who performed well, the staff and the fans for supporting us all the way through.

Kelly You decided to include quite a number of young players. How do you think they performed?

Patrick Well the likes of Phil Jones, Jack Wilshere are our future and they do play regularly for their clubs and performed well over the course of the season and carried that form into the tournament. I thought they were fantastic, the whole bloody lot of them. Sorry if I swear, just had too much to drink!

Kelly Well that's fine, I'll let you enjoy the celebrations. Let me grab you there, Steven! You led this team to the World Cup, how was it leading England out to a major final for the first time?

Steven Gerrard It was a fantastic feeling, I've captained England many times but to lead my country out into a major final is just wonderful. The pressure was on us especially after the last World Cup and to beat Germany on the way to the final was superb. The lads, the fans everyone involved have done themselves proud especially our younger players who really stepped up.

Kelly You decided to step down as captain. What was the reason for that?

Steven Well, I think my time is up as captain and for someone else whether its someone younger or experienced to lead now. We have many leaders in our squad such as Rooney, Lampard, Hart so anyone who is handed it will have deserved it.

Kelly Thanks Steven and enjoy the celebrations. Right Ashley, if I can have a quick word.

Ashley Cole Of course Kelly, always a pleasure, you sexy thing!

Kelly *blushes* Well done on winning the World Cup. At the age of 33 most thought you wouldn't play many games but you played 6 games. How did you feel?

Cole Well you always want to be playing don't you no matter how old you are. As long as you feel fit and training well and showing you're boss what you can do, nothing else matters.

Kelly You managed to also score your very first England goal no other than against Germany. That must have been special.

Cole Scoring your first England goal in a major tournament especially against Germany was certainly special. Thanks Kelly.
nice win patrick do you think you will win it again in 4 years
