Serie A

Excellent standing in the league. We are 14 points clear with 12 games to go. I can't see Juventus catching us, especially when we grind out results like we have been.

UEFA Champions League

1-1 on the road to the reigning champions of Europe is not a terrible result, though more away goals or a win would've suited us nicer. However, we've already beaten Lille in the Supercup and I think we can advance with a win in the home tie.

Coppa Italia

A fantastic result in this competition. Winning 2-0 over archrival Juventus on the road is an incredible accomplishment. I am almost certain we will advance in the home tie, though we can not underestimate such top quality opposition.

Player of the Month

Monthly Review

An excellent month for us. Aside from that hiccup with Pharmacist Randy, the team has been able to stay undefeated. We've played good football at times, but need to create more chances than we have been. We are in a commanding position in Serie A, as well as in the Coppa Italia. Bringing a 2 goal lead back to the San Siro is perfect. In the UEFA Champions League, we have work yet to do. The away goal is good, and we were unlucky to only draw. We now have to do the hard work in Milan to move on, which I am confident we can do. Overall, it was a good month.
Pretty good results mate, Muriel is quality! :)

Bergomi Reaches 100 Games

Inter Milan boss Giuseppe Bergomi has reached 100 games in management against LOSC Lille in the UEFA Champions League. The Nerazzurri legend managed an impressive 1-1 away draw against last season's Champions League winners, putting his side in a commanding position as they return to their fortress in Milan next leg. Overall, however, Bergomi boasts an incredible record over his first 100 competitive matches with 85 wins, 14 draws, and a mere 1 loss. That only loss came against Juventus in the Supercoppa Italia, which has quickly been forgotten due to last season's treble and this season's incredible form.

85 wins in his first 100 games is one of the most successful starts of any manager in the history of the game, but Giuseppe isn't getting ahead of himself. In the post match interview after the Lille game, Bergomi was asked how he felt about his astounding first century of games and how he ranked himself against other managers.

"It is a wonderful start, but I am still learning. I have not finished my second season yet, so to compare me to the great managers such as Sir Alex Ferguson or Jose Mourinho would be wrong as of now. Of course, I want to be able to achieve such heights as they have, and I feel like I am definitely on my way to doing so."

Congrats on reaching 100 games mate :)

Inter Youth Intake

Yesterday Inter Milan had their youth intake, and a number of players were signed. The most high profile youngster with the potential to go far is 16 year old attacking midfielder Andrea Scarponi. The new Nerazzurri official player is ecstatic about signing, telling the press, "Ever since I was a boy I wanted to be a pro footballer, and now I've got that chance which I intend to take."

Giuseppe Bergomi spoke with the press as well, saying, "Andrea [Scarponi] is a wonderful talent, I think he can become very good in the future. He is already a strong player and if he puts his head down in training and really works, he could be a star."

Along with their own youth intake, however, the Italian giants have poached the ex-Genoa center back Simone Pierguidi. The youngster had been taken in by Genoa but had yet to sign terms before being seen by Inter. Immediately interested, Bergomi quickly signed the center back.

Bergomi told the press, "He has immense talent and is the future of Inter's defense. He is just 15, and he has so much room to become on of the best defenders in the world. We are delighted to be able to bring him to the club."

Poaching a trialist... cheeky cunt :P
