February Results

Inter 4-0 Genoa

Serie A
Sterling (25)
Sissoko (51, 57)
Maher (76)

Sissoko

A great win over Genoa, but all the credit really must go to Moussa Sissoko. He scored twice and added an assist in a brilliant all around performance. We looked thoroughly dangerous in the final third and took a deserved, lopsided victory at home.

Roma 0-3 Inter

Serie A
Castan (3)
Shaqiri (55)
Destro (pen 57)
Taschidis (83)

Sissoko

A very excellent win on the road to a strong Roma side. Sissoko once again carried the attacking mantle, and this time, unable to score, instead provided 2 top class assists. Taschidis got himself sent off late, allowing us to relax for the last few minutes. I'm very pleased Shaqiri scored as well.

Palermo 0-1 Inter

Coppa Italia Semifinal Leg 1
Shaqiri (36)
Munoz (44)

Luiz

At last, at long last, two good performances in a row from Shaqiri! He tore up the wing and got an absolute cracker of a goal to prove it; hopefully he will start to deliver now. Palermo lost Munoz at half time and bunkered up in the second half, and we could not breach them. The second leg awaits!

Catania 0-3 Inter

Serie A
Sterling (17)
Sissoko (25)
Destro (pen 45)

Sissoko

Guess who came up big again? That's right, Moussa Sissoko! He scored and assisted once each as we stormed Catania away with a first half demolition job. This entire month we've looked very deadly in the final third and hopefully we continue in this vein of form.

Benfica 0-1 Inter

Champions League 1st Round Leg 1
Destro (6)

Peruzzi

UEFA Champions League football returns at last, and we open the 1st knockout round with a 1-0 win over Benfica. It's a decent advantage to take back to Milan, and all we need to do is replicate this result. It wasn't as comfortable a game as I had anticipated, but an away goal is great.

Inter 1-1 Juventus

Serie A
Sissoko (47)
Vidal (pen 68)

Sissoko

There goes our perfect month, and all due to a shocking refereeing decision. Sissoko once again led the charge with his goal but Alvaro Pereira was foolishly whistled for a penalty and Vidal had no problems scoring. I tore the referee apart after the match and the FA was silent.

Palermo 0-3 Inter

Serie A
Destro (2)
Insigne (10)
Bellusci (26)

Ranocchia

An astounding start to the game earned us the 3 points as Palermo simply couldn't handle us, giving me a lot of comfort going into next month's Coppa Italia Semifinal 2nd Leg. Destro and Insigne played very well up top, and Bellusci showed his danger from set pieces yet again. We look unstoppable.

Serie A

17 points clear with 1 game more played. Juventus may have drawn me, but they haven't caught up a bit. At best we are truly unplayable and at worst teams struggle to even draw us. This season we will surely win a 4th consecutive Scudetto.

Coppa Italia

Both Juventus and ourselves take a strong 1 goal lead back to our home stadiums, and I fully expect to meet the Bianconeri in the final. We both have only a slender lead but the away goal cannot be underestimated. We have a strong chance of lifting our 4th straight Coppa come May.

UEFA Champions League

We take a similar lead to that of ours in the Coppa Italia in now the UEFA Champions League as well. I fully expect to beat Benfica at home and move on the last 16. The way we are playing this year, I believe we are genuine contenders, especially seeing Barcelona and Real Madrid losing already!

Player of the Month

Moussa Sissoko has to be our Player of the Month by an absolute landslide. He managed 4 Man of the Match awards in 7 games and racked up 4 goals and 4 assists during that time and will surely be a key player for Inter for the remainder of the season.

Monthly Review

All in all this was another spectacular month for us. Despite drawing Juventus at home, we looked dominant in every match we played and won two very important away matches in the Coppa Italia and UEFA Champions League. Xherdan Shaqiri finally began to play well, and Moussa Sissoko has played like a man possessed, scoring and assisting non stop. I have a great feeling about the remainder of the season!
Comment :P
Some great results there. Have you ever posted how you have your team play?

ebEliminator: No but it is something I am strongly considering. Thanks :)

Periera Joins Coutinho on the Injury Table

In what will come as disappointing news to many Inter Milan fans, Uruguayan left back Alvaro Pereira has suffered strained knee ligaments in training and will be out for a full 6-7 weeks recuperating. Pereira is one of very few members of the original side that Bergomi inherited to still merit a starting spot, and at 30 years of age he is often the oldest starter. Pereira had been in fine form for Inter, managing a goal and 9 assists in 20 Serie A appearances thus far. The left back joins attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho in the injury table.

It is expected French youngster Lucas Digne, who signed this summer from LOSC Lille, will take the starting spot in the meantime, and has also done well with 4 assists in 10 Serie A appearances.

"Obviously it's a tough blow for us but hopefully we'll do alright," said manager Giuseppe Bergomi. "Pereira is a top player and a veteran who helps a lot of the younger players. Hopefully he can recover quickly and come back to the first team."

Alvaro Pereira himself took to social-networking site Twitter to lament his injury woes:

Alvaro Pereira:
Strained knee, be out over a month. Hope the lads continue playing well without me, I'll be back as soon as possible! #ForzaInter
That's tough mate but I'm sure you can make do without him. :)
Why have Denmark not won the World Cup yet?
The Madridista: Yeah Digne will do fine. I'm even trying Shaqiri at LB :))

a_esbech: Patience, patience :P
Great update Neal, can I ask how you got the badges shiny with the leaves around them?
AaronHJFT96: Thanks. I downloaded them from some website, I don't remember which one. I only have them for Serie A and Serie B teams, though.
I'd like to apologize to my readers for my lack of updates. I've been very busy with school. However, if not today, I will DEFINITELY crank out an update or two this weekend. Thanks for understanding :) Forza Inter!
Schwaab is an excellent back. Do you have a screen of your entire team?

Anyway, it's good to see you are making good, strong transfers for Inter, rather than leaving for the Prem that season long ago... Best of luck.

Oh, financially, are you/can you build/buy your stadium? It would be funny (and terrible) if Inter owned San Siro
