ITALY SQUAD ANNOUNCED FOR WCQ

Giuseppe Bergomi has announced his squad to take on France and Andorra in qualifying matches for the World Cup in 2018 in Russia. The Italians have gotten off to a strong start so far, winning their first 2 games against Latvia and Slovakia.
The big miss is Inter Milan superstar Mattia Destro due to injury. The last two Serie A seasons' top scorer will be a big blow to Italy's chances as he has already scored 13 goals in his 18 caps for the senior side. Fabio Borini is also out with a long term injury, so Mario Balotelli should lead the line for the Italians.
On the other side of the coin, ex-Inter man and now Ajax shotstopper Francesco Bardi as well as Nerazzurri midfielder Lorenzo Crisetig have received their first ever call-ups to the senior side. Combined the two have 20 U21 caps and will hope to feature at some time during the break.
The side will first travel to France before hosting Andorra. The full squad is as follows:
