Reading look to Austin as Stracqualursi looks set to leave

Despite only spending 6 months at Reading, Stracqualursi looks set to leave Reading with the impending arrival of Charlie Austin

Charlie Austin looks set to join Reading once the transfer window opens again on January 1st, Which has sounded alarm bells for Argentinian striker Denis Stracqualursi, The frontman has been short of form in the months he has spent at Reading scoring just 5 goals in 16 appearances, Reading have had a 2.5 million pound offer for Austin accepted and it looks as though it is just the formalities which need to be straightened out

Austin is set to leave Burnley having requested a transfer due to the clubs poor standing in the league. With the request Burnley listed Austin for 2.5m and interest from Reading, Blackburn, Q.P.R and West Ham was sparked.
He's pretty good and I expect some goals from him if he joins Reading!
Great read so far as usual. Brilliant updates and I would love to see how Austin does for you.

Wenger departs Arsenal for France, Le Fondre sounds interest

Arsene Wenger made a shock decision to leave Arsenal today in favour of a role in National Football Management in France. With Arsenal on the search of a manager, Talented Manager Adam Le Fondre has sounded an interest in the club's position.

I would join this time!

Arsenal appoint New Manager

With Adam Le Fondre forced to resign having being handed a ultimatum from the Reading board for his open announcement of his interest, Arsenal have swooped in and snapped up the young and talented manager.

Arsenal Chairman, Peter Hill-Wood released this statement; Arsenal Football Club are delighted to announce the arrival of 27 year-old Adam Le Fondre as manager of the club, Le Fondre has agreed a contract in which he will abide to playing free-flowing attacking football in which the team will be urged to maintain a high amount of possession. A Press Conference will be arranged today, and Adam will take questions for 45 minutes from the media.

Press: Just under a season and a half ago, You were plying your trade only on the pitch for Reading, since then you have lead Reading into a team challenging for European Football and have now took over one of the top clubs in Europe, How does this feel?

Le Fondre: I'm delighted, but I cannot say I am suprised, I knew in my heart of hearts that I always had the ability to achieve great things as a manager, my only regret is being unable to bring a trophy to the Madejski during my time there.

Press: How do you intend to use yourself at the club, Whilst at Reading you definitely had an ability to make an impact on the pitch as well as off, do you intend to relinquish your role as player and focus solely on managing the squad

Le Fondre: In football, the one thing any person needs most being a player, manager or even a coach, is confidence and I myself have the utmost confidence I can throw on an Arsenal shirt and make an impact on the pitch, However, I will quite clearly not be playing as much as I was at Reading due to the clear gulf in quality between the two sides and will only involve myself when I feel necessary.

Press: This is quite a contradictory statement, After last seasons 4-1 win your former team obtained over Arsenal, you claimed your team were 'Just as good as Arsenal or Any', but more importantly how do you think the Arsenal fans will take to you after that game last season?, Football fans are renowned for their long lasting memories and that one will have cut deep.

Le Fondre: I think we saw today, over 3,000 fans are outside this stadium, jubilant at my arrival, If that game is in their memories, I'm making a promise to Arsenal fans now to make it up to them by bringing them success now.

Press: Finally, Joining Arsenal will give you your first taste in continental football, and you have jumped right in at the deep end with your first game in Europe being the Champions League Knockout Stages, How do you intend to prepare for that game?

Le Fondre: Just as I would for any other, Both I and the players will work hard to ensure victory, as far as I'm concerned a football match is a football match, and a squad like this has the quality to overcome any challenge placed in front of them
Good luck with Gunners m8!
