Roberto Martinez leaves Wigan after dispute
Experienced manager Roberto Martinez has been sacked by the Wigan chairman and board after three years of Premier League survival. Dave Whelan, current Wigan chairman, is said to be 'tired' of the club playing in the relegation places throughout the season. The chairman assured the fans that this was the right call for the club. The chairman said," Over the last two and three years, we are hovering through the relegation places." Whelan added," The club needs to move forward. We have to get ways to earn more money and the Europa League can do that for us."
Roberto Martinez took over the Wigan side after their recent stay at England's top division: The Premier League.
There are several big rumours are circulating around online, but the most popular seems to be that Martinez had a dispute with the chairman, Dave Whelan, and was immediately relieved of his duties.
Wigan will now be looking for a new manager, with the favourites being their former manager, Paul Jewell, Steve Bruce and Roberto di Matteo, but it has been said that former Arsenal and Bolton player Fabrice Muamba has claimed interest in the job.
Probably gonna be Di Matteo
That is all Muamba needs. He might have to have an ambulance crew at his side all day. You should check if MI5 will issue him with the pocket Defib James Bond has.
Steve Bruce to stay at Hull City
Steve Bruce, current Hull City boss has rejected the approach from former employer, Dave Whelan to manage Wigan for a third spell. The 51 year old England manager has worked before with Dave Whelan, but has rejected the contract that they offered because "Hull City is the future" Dave Whelan was dissapointed with Bruce's response after the experience that both had. Steve Bruce's time at Wigan was an era, after he managed Wigan for five seasons after two spells at the club. The Hull City manager was seen as an ideal replacement for Roberto Martinez, who left the club earlier this week after a supposed dispute over funds, but the chairman, disagreed with what rumours over the internet. The chairman said," I've already said this a thousand times, that the departure of Roberto Martinez was a decision made by the board and myself." Whelan added," Roberto agreed, and we are looking for a new manager to take Wigan where they will find themselves more comfortable, Europe." The remaining managers that are available for Wigan are Roberto Di Matteo and Paul Jewell. A surprise appointment of Fabrice Muamba could be in the cards.Steve Bruce

And Fabrice Muamba?
The appointing of Muamba shocks England football
Wigan Athletic have shocked the English football country by appointing Fabrice Muamba, instead of Roberto Di Matteo, who they were in advanced talks with.
Di Matteo had flown into the West Midlands training ground for contract talks with the English club and was highly "excited" for the deal to happen. Wigan obviously jumped at the chance to have a manager that won the Champions league, but Di Matteo had to leave for personal reasons and asked the board to "hold on for a while".
So with Di Matteo out of the window, and none of the other targets were willing to accept the pay-cut. Well, all but one. Fabrice Muamba jumped at the chance to manage one of England's 'unknown' giant. Fabrice Muamba, who doesn't have any experience manager wise, said that he had learned a thing or two from his various managers in Arsenal, Bolton and Birmingham.
With a week into July, the West Midlands side couldn't wait anymore for Di Matteo, and negotiated a deal with former Arsenal and Bolton player Fabrice Muamba.
