Jesus! Clark for 3.8 million! Probably the best ever deal you'll ever make in FM13. He's now worth about 16 million on my save.

Muamba reveals Muniesa's injury

Latics boss Fabrice Muamba has revealed why Muniesa hasn't been participating in recent matches against Arsenal, Sunderland and City. The defender was deeply missed during the Arsenal match and Muamba just confirmed what the rumours online said.

The manager said," Marc (Muniesa) has been dealing with a back problem ever since he came here." He then added," The medical staff are trying to stop the injury from happening again, prompting to Marc having a four week rest." Before adjourning the conference Muamba said," Marc is an important part of Wigan and I want him to stay permanently. Whether he wants that remains unknown. We will see at the end of the season."

This has prompted to many Wigan fans chanting the defender's name whenever the opposition scores a goal. Many fans believe are against to what Muamba has done with Muniesa by saying," He is totally wrong. We need him on the pitch now." However, there are the other supporters that believe what Muamba is doing is correct. They said," I prefer Muniesa not playing for a month than three months. Anybody would prefer that." Whether Wigan will hold with Irish defender Ciaran Clark, remains unknown.

Al-Habsi retires from Oman

Al-Habsi has revealed that he has retired from his country of birth, Oman. This came after the goalkeeper got called up for over four weeks to play in Oman's Asian Qualifiers, missing over 3 Premier League matches for Wigan. But, the goalkeeper was deeply missed in his side's Norwich match prompting him catching the next flight back to the northern Manchester area. Nevertheless, the Wigan goalkeeper has revealed why.

The former Bolton goalkeeper said," Fabrice Muamba asked me to retire from Oman, and I was already thinking of retiring." He then added," We are currently pushing for a Europa League place and the boss said that if I left, the chances are going to diminish greatly." The player with more caps for Oman continued by saying," I've been dreaming in playing in a continental competition. I know I am not getting any younger and this might be my last chance to do so." When the goalkeeper was asked if he would become a coach after he finishes his career he hesitated to give a complete answer. He did say," I don't know, it's a possibility. I really want to focus now as a player and then we will see if I can pass the exams for the licenses."

This has given Muamba a great deal of power over his squad, because asking for a player to retire from the internationals is a big thing. Nevertheless, many Wigan fans agree with what Muamba asked for, as many fans believe European football might be in reach for next season. Thirteen league matches into the season leaves 6th, six points away from Champions League football. If they continue their run, they might make it to fourth place.
